Oh Hello There!. My mother is an antiques dealer specializing in mid-century kitchenware and I'm her gatherer of Pyrex, and I am SO happy to share what I know and I am not sure if in the other 436 comments someone has posted this, so forgive me if others have already filled the gaps in your knowledge. I'll try to do a list of comments using timestamps from the video.
3:34 - Buttefly Gold 1 Bake Serve & Store, sizes 471 (sm) and 473 (lg). if they are truly dishwasher damaged and not just baked on dirt, no way yet has been found to permanently restore them to original shine If you oil them, they hold the shine until you wash them again. You are missing the 472 (md) dish, which will be white with gold flowers.
4:09 - Butterfly Gold 1 (first variation) was produced from 1972 to 1979. You have what is called "Cinderella" style mixing bowls, where the handles are also spouts. These are the 441 (sm) 443 (lg) and 444 (xlg). You are missing the 442 (md) it will be gold with white flowers.
4:46 The official name from company literature for this is "Verdé." It was a promotional pattern sold in grocery stores, first produced in 1967 to 1972 along with the other variation. Collectors will call it Verde Square Flowers, because "Verdé" is also the name of the set in solid paint in green shades. It is hard to tell relative sizes with just the one dish, but this looks like the 474 Round Casserole. You are missing the 475 (lg) and 473 (sm) for the original set same color scheme.. Note that 473 Round Casserole and 473 Bake Serve Store are the same dish, just marketed differently for the two sets.
4:54 - The original divided dish lid that would have come with this is also divided in the middle. It is harder to find as it was phased out around 1969, give or take. Many people use the undivided lid as you have, usually only serious collectors who want original stock care.
5:09 These two bowls are from different sets. The flowered one is Spring Blossom Green 1 (first variation) made along with Butterfly Gold 1 from '72 to '79. It is a 442 (md) cinderella dish. Coincidentally, this is the size you are missing from your butterfly gold cinderella set. The color pattern is similar, with the 441 and 443 being white with green/gold flowers and the inverse for the 442 and 444. The other bowl is a 403 mixing bowl from the Verdé set without the flowers. You are missing 404 (xlg, dark green), 402 (md, light green) and 401 (sm, yellow-green).
5:41 - This is the 043 Oval Casserole in Verdé. The original lid would be opal glass with a pattern of olive flowers on it for the first years of production. They switched to plain glass before ending the product line. This shade of green is the same as on the 402 mixing bowl. You are missing the 045 oval casserole (lg, dark green) and the 063 divided dish in light yellow-green for the set.
5:55 - This is from a standalone set of bowls called "Earthtones". I'm not sure why it shows up on the Early American advertisement that you show, because these were completely different sets. it is the 402 (md) size. There are 3 other bows that go with, as pictured in the advertisement you show, the 404 (xl), 403 (lg) and 401 (sm).
6:32 - Woodland brown was released in 1978.
7:44 - Early American was produced from 1962 to 1971. The 404 bowl you was also sold with the other 3 later on in production runs but is still hard to find.
8:11 - Primary Fridge sets were produced from 1947 to 1960. Amazing prices. Older sets do have different markings but are not considered more valuable.
9:59 - Notice the lids on your two 501 Refrigerator Dishes are different. The first one you show has the newer style lids, and the second the older style. The matching lids for the 502 blue and 503 yellow dishes will be lined in the same way, depending on if you want to get older or newer style. Also, it is possible that the 2nd 501 that you show, having a slightly lighter red color, might be from the Friendship pattern and not the Primary set. These color variations are very subtle and often need side by side comparisons to verify.
10:32 The first primary sets were produced in 1945. The older ones have a slightly thicker "foot" at the base and the markings are different as you state. They were slightly remodeled in 1950 with a smaller foot and newer style backstamp.
11:05 - Your turquoise mixers are very highly sought after and valuable. If you can thrift the other two you will be very lucky indeed. Sets like this in mint condition can go as high as $300.
12:07 - This is the 474 Round Casserole from the Horizon Blue pattern, produced frrom 1969 to 1972. You are missing the 473 (sm) and 475 (lg) to make the set. Only the 474 is a solid blue. the other two are white with the distinctive Horizon Blue pattern on them in blue paint.
12:30 - These 083 Individiual Casseroles are commonly called "pixies" by collectors. They are rather difficult to find, and come in several colors.
13:49 - The Lime green pie plate is from 1952 as are the flamingo ones shown earlier.
14:27 - Your Orange / Pumpkin Butterprint cinderella bowls also came in sets of four.. You are actually missing the 441, 442 and 444 to complete the set. These are exceedingly rare and sought after. A full set of 4 in mint condition can go as high as #350.
15:20 - $40 for a full set with lids is a very good bargain. I"ve seen these go for $100 or more depending on where they are being sold.
15:41 - Your 1063 Opal Divided dishes were produced in or after 1960. They were sold individually and do not have a matching lid. These are one of the least collectible pyrex dishes. I frequently see these for thrifting for $1 or so and routinely pass them up at that price.
16:36 - The bracket for the chip and dip sets is very very hard to find. There is, and I'm sorry i don't have more info, someone makeing reproductions that are often sold with these for functionality and not collectability.
18:54 - The carrying caddy you have was made for the Corningware Cornflower set of glass cooking/baking dishes. the stamped number of the carrier will have a corresponding number for the original dish that came with it.
I hope this helps you out and you didnt find it to repetitive!! if you have any questions feel free to ask, I will usualy have an answer or have the resources to get you one! Thanks for your video!
Derrick C
Thanks for all the info! So good to know. I sure appreciate you taking the time to help me out. 😊
Derrick Coyne Thank you so much for time stamping!! It was amazing to read your advice and info to Laci and see the collection. I envy your job Pyrex hunting!
Yes my pyrex loving heart loves this! I love learning more info! I collect & resell at vintage markets sometime in our area. I found myself saying things youBbn pointed out lol Thanks for sharing!
Hi Derek: I got the large turquoise mixer today for $20 Canadian from a vendor at an Antique Market. Then I saw the small turquoise mixer for $40 at an another vendor's booth. I didn't buy the small one because I thought it was priced too high compared to $20 for the large mixer. I am now thinking I should have bought the small one, What are your thoughts?
Wow Derrick! Thanks for all your knowledge! My grandmother loved Pyrex! You are a wealth of knowledge! Very cool!
These old prices make me shed a tear. I miss those days 😂
Sorry BUT your kitty TOTALLY stole your thunder in this video 😻😻😻
Haha I know right?! He was such a good helper for this one 😻
I need a fur baby 😼😺😻
2:17 Cat is saying, hello time for pets now. 🥰
This was so fun to see! I’m a Pyrex collector, too! I used to collect everything then it took over my home so I chose my favorite pattern and settled on just that one. Now my entire kitchen is Butterfly Gold. I own every single piece in the collection, all found in the wild. It took me years to complete and I had so much fun searching for it. I use all of it every day, too! Thanks for sharing all your wonderful finds!
I’m so glad you enjoyed! Oh I could see how that can happen haha. That’s awesome you found it all.
I have a bunch of the Butterfly gold coffee cups and I use them every single day love the feel of them. The more narrow at the bottom ones. Anna In Ohio.
“In the wild” that’s how I love finding mine too!
Vintage Pyrex has been found to leach lead, and other heavy metals into food and drinks.
ChickenStamps , do you have the devided dish and how do you use yours?
I think your the only one that can still look this beautiful during this pandemic!- I adore that dress!!
You’re so sweet. Thank you!
Your vintage Pyrex was my wedding gifts. I have a few pieces that survived our almost 51 years of marriage, and 4 kids
Oh that’s awesome!
I can't begin to remember all the Pyrex my mom had throughout the years. However,
I will always remember the huge turquoise bowl with the white design (no idea what pattern) because that was the bowl she ALWAYS served potato salad in! My mother was not exactly the world's finest cook. Only person I've ever known to burn a hamburger and it still be bloody inside. I think ya get my point. However, she made THE world's best potato salad. I watched her make it hundreds of times, know those ingredients by heart and mine still is not as good as hers. Maybe it was the bowl.
Mom wasn't well medically for a few years before she passed so she wasn't cooking much and certainly wasn't making any potato salad. After she died, my siblings and I were each taking a few items that held a special meaning. I couldn't find that bowl so said something about it. My sister said it was donated to the local thrift store a few years earlier. Mom had asked her to help go through the kitchen and storage and she had not wanted to keep such a big bowl. I was pretty upset but hope that whoever bought it uses it for their potato salad and the bowl works its magic for them, too.
Ahh thanks so much for sharing your special memories of your mom!! So sad about the bowl. Maybe you can find one like it someday ❤️ oh also- my mom makes delicious potato salad too!! She uses the Pyrex she got for her wedding. 😊
I think Mom got that as a wedding gift, too. I keep my eyes open but I'm much too frugal to buy from ebay. lol
I think Mom got that as a wedding gift, too. I keep my eyes open but I'm much too frugal to buy from ebay. lol
That's how cooking always seems to go... 2 people making the identical recipe and each other's always tastes better. There's just something about eating someone else's cooking!!
Oh my God, I love Pyrex! My mom and I collect China and crystal through thrifting, and we have quite a collection. Also, thanks to you, I’ve started dressing fifties style like I’ve always wanted! Quarantine really made me realize that I should wear what I want without worrying about what others think. My husband loves it, and I’m so happy now. Thank you so much.
Omg that makes me so happy to hear. Good for you. ❤️❤️
I’ve always felt as tho I was born in the wrong era ever since I was a little girl I would love to dress 👗 and live life like that maybe I’ll have courage one day life’s to short not to live out your dreams !!!❤️❤️❤️
I love pyrex...but I use all mine! I have the yellow, red, green, and blue sets. Two of them, and they are still going strong!! All the vintage kitchen things work so much better than the new stuff!
Oh ps....this is Johns wife Allison! Lol
Yes! I use several of these pieces regularly. Most used is probably the pink flamingo baking dish. Also my yellow mixing bowl, and the pie plates. Oh I agree. Pie baked in Pyrex tastes better 😉
The set at 15:54 reminded me of the infamous dress from years ago. “Some see blue and brown, some see white and gold”. This might make people hate me, lol.
Oh I never thought of that! Haha. They are a bit iridescent.
It took me forever to finally see blue/black. I mean months of time :D
My mom would definitely love this! We've used Pyrex since like forever
Oh nice! It really is great to cook with!
My grandparents had the apple! I remembered it when I saw the picture of it. My grandfather used to put Hersey miniatures in it. I don't know what happened to it after my grandfather passed and wished I had taken it. But with the help of my friend we found one on Etsy for $5!! I'm so excited to have it! I loved the video! Can't wait to see your other collections!!
Oh nice! I’m sure it still carries those fond memories. Nice find.
That was so neat. I like how you put the old ads up of some of your collection. It was a big thing to get these sets for a bridle shower or a wedding. Well done and take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed. Oh I bet. That would be a lovely gift.
You edit your videos so well!! I like the way you include those little historical pics 👍😉You are a professional!
I was so inspired by your collection that I started my own today. Got 2 pieces of vintage pyrex on my 1st trip out!
I started buying pyrex because pyrex was super cheap & fun. After thrifting 10 different full sets & 9 3 bowl sets, a few casserole sets, 10 fridge sets.
Now that it's a hot trendy thing to buy, I stopped mainly because the prices are insane.
I always think it's nice when someone shares their passion for collecting like you do.
Thank you!
When visiting my parents for christmas I saw a box my mother was donating and in it was a Blue heaven by Royale bowl . I asked her for it and of course she said yes. Now I have it displayed in my kitchen and even though it is small it brings me so much joy when I see it. I wish I had the whole set but I am content with this little one for now. Thanks for the the video!
Oh wow that’s awesome! You saved it! Good job. 😊
I am a huge glass collector! I only cook with glass bowls - the sound of metal bowls with metal utensils are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me!!
Hi! Great collection! I'm a fellow vintage Pyrex collector. I have tried to restore dishwasher damaged dishes, Be careful using barkeepers friend on the painted part of the pyrex (it is abrasive and can take the paint off). I use peek for metal marks and coconut oil to shine it up (olive oil would work too). Thanks for sharing your collection with us! I hope you find the rest of the pumpkin butterprint, awesome it was your grandma's 🙂
Oh good to know. Thank you!! I hope I can find it too. 😊
When collecting, it's all about the hunt!😉❤
Yes! So exciting!!
I have the whole tulips 🌷 set from my great grandmother, my mom gave me a lot of vintage kitchen stuff.
Oh wow that’s awesome! Family pieces are the best!
I would love to see your updated Pyrex collection! This video inspired me to start collecting three years ago! 🥰
You have the sweetest personality and your smile is contagious!!💁🏼♀️
So happy for history and you showing us collection
It takes awhile to add to any collection but it's so fun to watch it grow 🌺
Shabby French Door 🤯
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed! You’re right. It just takes time, especially when you are thrifting.
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor thrifting is so much fun 🌺
My oh my!!!! I’m so jealous 🥰. My daughter and have just watched this together and both agree that you have a beautiful collection. Makes the plain glass stuff look so insignificant. Can’t wait to hunt out my own collection once the charity shops open that is. Thank you so much for sharing 🤗
Ahh thanks so much to you and your daughter! Good luck on your hunt! I’m sending all my good thrifting vibes your way.
My Pyrex collection has grown through the years. My favorite are the turquoise, pink and black series, but I cannot leave any Pyrex behind, so my patterns have grown into several cabinets.
Haha same!
Our thrift stores an fleamarkets never closed. I didn't find anything though lately. I got my primary bowl set for $18 at goodwill last year.
Oh really? Ooo that’s a nice find!!
That was a gift at that price!!
We don't have pyrex in Germany so I started my collection when we came back to the states.
Oh yes! It is an American made brand.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I too am a Pyrex collector and was thrilled to see your collection! You have some beautiful pieces. I collect mine as you do yours, finding here and there piece by piece. I collect nesting bowls mostly but easily fall in love with other pieces. My most treasured is my turquoise nesting set, it was a gift from a dear friend.
The dish pattern you have is called green daisy, the blue pinwheel is the pattern that you were also talking about. Your blue covered dish is a promotional piece from the Horizon blue collection, and your yellow cake plate may be from the friendship collection. (I'm not 100% sure)
Keep sharing your treasures and your adorable kitties! You bring a lot of joy!
Sonia
Oh awesome! Sounds like you have a wonderful collection. Oh thanks for the info! ❤️❤️
GOALS!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing collection!
That flower with that dress is just perfect. You are adorable! I am not a collector but I do have and use Fire King Jade-ite coffee cups and a serving bowl almost everyday. I LOVE the green color. I also have a chipped Fire King Peach Lusterware cup I keep my earrings in. I really enjoyed the ad inserts as you talked about eat pattern.
Thanks so much!! Oh yes. Jadeite is really pretty!

Ahh I’m so glad! Yes for sure. It’s so exciting to find Pyrex in the wild! Haha
Walt's wife here. I also collect Pyrex, but, also tin cake carriers, flour sifters. bread boxed and vintage rolling pins and kitchen gadgets in my 1930's home. I have a Hoosier cabinet, art deco green/cream stove, enamel table set. and a 1935 fridge. Si I am really going retro!
Thanks for sharing your awesome collection I’m glad to hear you still use them!

I love, love Pyrex. When I saw this video I had to watch it. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
I kept all of my grandmother's Spring Blossom Pyrex, she had the full set of dishes and most of the casseroles, etc. I've been slowly growing my collection since then. I only collect that pattern, but there are so many beautiful ones that I wish I had the space for.
I love your collection of pyrex dishes and your style is fantastic it reminds me of my mum
7:55 You should call that set of Pyrex, The Superman set.
Thanks for sharing your collection! The video was so informative. I love your pieces and you have such nice family & friends in your life that added to your collection.
I am loving your videos, thank you for sharing, My son and I were thrifting recently and bought some of the anchor hocking glass bake ware and I didn't realize it was older like the pyrex, good to know

Loving all of your videos! I'm getting into the Vintage Kitties right now! Love your collection! Can't wait to start mine 💕💕💕
Just rewatched this for the third time!
Great video!❤️❤️💙💙
That cat absolutely love you!
You showed "nesting bowls" in gold, mine were aqua and white - loved them!
I absolutely love coming across pyrex in the thrift stores but I think they are getting smart to how collectible they are because the prices can be a bit ridiculous. At least in my area. You have a wonderful collection ❤
Laci, you inspired my daughter, and then me to collect Pyrex! I grew up with it! My mom had 2 sets! The 4 piece nesting primary colors & the turquoise Amish butterprint nesting bowls! After 56 years of marriage only a few of the bowls have survived! It must have been my brothers who broke the other bowls! lol
Brother's my foot! You were washing them by hand and they slipped out of your because your hands were wet and slippery (been there done that - broke my heart, I was really fond of that dish, used it a lot)!
This is great! I've had the bottom right set for decades and use them almost daily. What a sweet kitty.
That’s awesome! I use my yellow mixing bowl quite often as well. Haha yeah Mr Johnny Cash was stealing the show this time. 😂😻
Because of you, now whenever I visit the thrift shops I sort through all the glass ware and I get excited when it’s Pyrex! You’re so amazing, thank you for uploading your life. All the way from Australia. 🇦🇺🥰
Oh yes! That’s awesome. Ahh thank you!
Oooh I like the divided one! How neat!
I was inspired by your Hazel Atlas jam jar, the story is so charming. I had to find one and found an apple. Thank you for sharing your collection and I look forward to seeing your canning kitchen- I have one too in my vintage home so I am anxious to compare them!
You are such a breath of Freshair.I really want a refrigerator set.You have an amazing collection.I am trying to research more when we can't be out thrifting.
Hi Laci! I love this and I’m obsessed with Pyrex. New and old I love it dearly. But I did have to correct you. Butterfly Gold was introduced in 1972.
Love your channel 💕I am so happy to hear you use your dishes. I use my vintage dishes because it brings back memories. My mother-in-law passed away 2 years ago and amongst her dishes I gravitated to that yellow Pyrex dish( TM . Reg) because I liked the size. Thanks for sharing your collection ,some of those dishes bring back childhood memories 💕 I was born in 1962 💕
Ahh I’m so happy to hear that! So sorry about your mother in law. It sounds like you have some lovely memories of her though.
Your chip and dip set in the top of your cabinet is similar to the grape pattern one I have. It gets used and I have many memories of my mom using it back in the day!
I thrifted a set of four of the Spring Blossom Green bowls and love it so much! I have the strawberry and apple as well which belonged to my grandmother ❤
Oh nice! Ahh that’s so neat. Family pieces are the best!
Oh my goodness! I have the tea cups to the butterfly gold collection! They were my great grandmother Mary’s.
Oh nice! That’s awesome!
Pyrex is so pretty! I’m on the hunt for the blue! If I owned a home I would paint my kitchen turquoise I love your kitchen! My home I grew up in was painted peach in the kitchen!
Love the flamingo pink. Don't remember ever seeing that color! I'm 57 so I grew up with these of so many different colors and prints depending on who was cooking or whatever we were doing. So cool!! Now I have to do some research on all I have. Got some when I was first married and also my moms stuff and grandma's stuff!
That’s awesome!
Im shocked my dear how mush information!! So cool! I love my Pyrex and Corningware. Mom used ro have some in early 80’ and I used to love them. Now Im inspired to get some more pyrex.
Hello Laci , all your videos are amazing, watching from California 🇺🇸

Thanks, that was fun to watch! I have a few pieces of Pyrex, Fireking and Glasbake that belonged to my Mom and Auntie! Love them, and use them, they are great to bake with! Treasures!
Oh how fun! Family pieces are the most special.
Omg yes! Loved this video. I have the cornflower blue set from my mom (I believe it was my grandmothers set too). They still cook like a dream! Such even baking and the dish holds it heat for serving. I also have a couple of pieces of the colorful flower set too. Those are ones that will always remind me of my mom because she cooks so much and I picked up the hobby! 😃
Thank you! Oh that’s awesome. What wonderful memories.
