I’m a Korean who have been working in Japan over 10 years. I discovered your channel when I was facing a lot of problems in my life, your advice made me getting back to the basics. 감사합니다😊
Number 8 just defines who I am, I am always comparing my self or my work to others and get a sense of pride when mine is better than theirs, but in college that is not the case there will be someone better than you and if you compare your work to theirs it will only hurt your self, so the take about competing against yourself is a much better way.
That's amazing what you said about focusing on the technique first and then creativity comes later, but I do it the other way around that's why I haven't mastered anything in my life because I'm too creative and proud of doing things with my own effort and that's never paid off.
Seriously. Your content is amazing. Happy that UA-cam's system recommended your channel. Currently starting my career as an AI engineer and looking forward to start my own channel soon.
Very good advice, can relate to many. What I would love to fix in my character is precrastinate and not procrastinate.. I lie to myself just to be lazy. I do hit the gas quite often in my life, but still, need to be more of a doer than learner. By the way guys, when learning stuff (watching youtube videos or reading books) your brain is in a passive state and it waits for the right answer, when practicing stuff your brain goes into active state.. To learn something especially IT related stuff, you need to practice a lot and not only ingest theory, because there are massive differences between phisically writing the code and learning how to code.
I LOVE this contenttt!! this is so helpful and love your advice to help me ready in my 20s for my future career in technology! I am so grateful to have you! ❤❤🤩🤩
Hey mate, thanks for the habits enclosure. Really needed the video as a Software developer and am sure everyone can learn from your videoes. Thanks 👍 .
What's up captain? Remember me? Your platonic friend? Well I remembered you yesterday. I decided to take youtube seriously from now on and build my way up on 2 channels, and I took the decision to work everyday. And I really like what you do in here and how collected you are and how you learned during your journey. I have a question, is this your first channel? I'm not remember if it is. But you are doing great! Between my favorite creators. Cheers!
Thank you! It was really helpful I don’t know why i am afraid of starting smth. There is one thing that i ve been delaying for a month I think that i can fail or dissapoint smn Could you please advise me on this ?
Loves the great advices especially competing against yourself! I don't get the quote in habit 6, care to enlighten me why ppl with bad wife become a philospher?
Procrastination is awful, you'll end up doing something you dont enjoy much through the day just for avoid the thing you're set to put effort on doing. Only because the proscratinating activity requires zero effort or is some mindless task.
I am 16 and I really wanna be an software engineer and I am doing my best achieving that goal, and big brother Daniel if you are reading this, then please reply with something, it will really motivate me a lot ❤️
Hey Pirate king! Thanks so much and I do enjoy your videos a lot I work at Microsoft too and I would love to talk to you and get to know you Is that something we can do?🙏
Great video PK! I do have a question though hopefully i will get your reply to get the nuances. Arent habits 8 and 9 contradictory? Let me explain: You bring forward a great point of competing against your former self which is quite an amazing idea to live by in this interconnected world we live in where we are bombarded with phenomenal achievements done by others. You concluded on habit 8 that it is important to know/define what success/winning is for you. t The part of : am I leaving anyone behind. If there is a value difference, minor or major with a loved one. This difference can undermine your self-proclaimed success. You would have won against yourself but also alone. Rationalization can also be argued as the way you would tell yourself that you are doing something good based on the values you had set to yourself How do you balance these two habits so as to not let each get in the way of the other
Books are reaaaaally fun and I'd go in the opposite direction. Read a lot of fictions, they will help you stimulate your brain better and increase creativity. Not everything that you do has to have a purpose and be ultra-grind productive!
+ most self-help books are garbage, the ones he recommends too. Priviledged takes (poor dad is actually middle-class) and 4 hour week just straight up tells you to under pay for outsourcing. C'mon, you can do better Pirate King
@PIRATE KING Wow I didn't know that because you speak English Perfect.. I can speak Korean, too, and have a plan to move the U.S but seriously worried because of my poor English 😂 Thanks for lots of great videos and I will study English with your videos... haha Have a nice day🙂
