I wish all vets who know they left a family in Vietnam would reach out to find their children there. This is touching, but the vets could change their lives for the better.

The glimpse of the photo of the mother of that girl looked like she couldn't have been more than about fifteen. Which means that good ol' Soldier Rob was sleeping with a child.
That's a nasty assumption - I had a Japanese employee once - she was 40 - she looked 12. So suggest you put your suspicions where the sun don't shine - it's where they belong.

@@NAT-turners-Revenge Need to disagree. Some 40 yr olds look way older than their age...some do not. My employee had the body of a 12 year old (after having had two children). Of course if one looked closely at her face, she did not look like a 12 yr old but equally it would have been difficult to pin point her age. She had to buy her clothes from the children's department.
That’s not her mother’s picture; that’s her own picture as a teen.
Besides, a Vietnamese woman doesn’t look part-Caucasian, so please don’t assume.
@@anaderol5408your point is valid, but you’re addressing a different issue here. That picture everyone is assuming belonging to isn’t accurate; this is a picture of the daughter as a teen herself!!! It’s not her mom’s!!!

It's also important to recognize the fact that Many US soldiers also fathered Vietnamese women and went back to the US without recognizing their children. There were many half White or half Black Vietnamese people after the war who have never met their american fathers.
This is why many (not all) but many Vietnam war veterans don't want to talk about their experiences during the wars because most of them just probably f*ked around with women and the local prostitutes, making as much children as they can and then went back to the US.
