I was at this competition! All of the teams in this video are amazing and even cooler to watch in person! I've been clogging now for going on 8 years and I absolutley love it! Keep up the hard work and see you all at the next competition!
that was some good and great togetherness. I think my favorite was the part where everyone jumped up at the same time and there was a whole two feet between the people's bodies and the stage. great effect. I love clogging.
My group actually was the first to perform a non-traditional routine in 2003. We fought the board to bring other music into the program and we were the only group to actually do another song. We took first place! I just think it's more fun to dance to music more upbeat and faster, it makes it more of challenge!
i love clogging and cant wait to have this baby so i can go back to clogging again here in oz. i lost so much weight, had so much fun and i also hate peoples ignorance at knowing what clogging is.
i miss cloggin, i did it for about 8 years, and i had so much fun doing it. Our instructer bailed on us though, and all the other teams are too easy. Great teams here though
Wow. I had no idea of what clogging was before but that video was awesome. Those dancers got some really good moves. I'm sure it must be tiring as all hell though.
Hey-- To my knowledge, clogging is somewhat more popular in the southern US, tho it's not limited to only that region. It was developed in the Appalachian mountains mostly by immigrants from the British Isles, although there is a heavy African influence, as well as some Native American steps. There are some good clogging history websites out there, as well.
In what regions of the world is clogging popular? That sounds snarky and sarcastic, but i don't mean it that way, at all. For example, I used to irish step dance, and I know that, in the US anyway, NYC, Chicago, and Boston are like the meccas of irish step (just a sample-sorry if i forgot someone's region). I want to know where, specifically, clogging is offered and takes place, and has its following.
just turned into cheerleading without all the flips how dissappointing dont get me wrong, they are very good, but it is a longshot from the real "clogging" it should be

hey the second group looked like Dynamic Edition from America's Best Dance Crew! I remember 00:41 - 00:45 from their routine on the show
I think its either TCS or High Voltage. I think the group before them is Dynamic Edition or something to that effect.
yall are really good :]]
Can someone tell me who the team in the green and purple are? Also who is the team in the camo pants, hats and white jackets? They are all fantastic!
The next basis for a formulaic teen movie?
Way awesome.
You're right. I thought I knew, but I had no idea...

Which group is in the green and purple uniforms? They're all great, but the choreography of that group shone out.
Wow. I miss clogging. No one here teaches the harder stuff (a few really easy groups) and my teacher moved. Sigh.

Some great things come out of the States. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. Its just really annoying.

Personally, I like my clogging more traditional. Not a big fan of pop routines.
