Thanks for this. I was at that show! It was as phenomenal as it sounds on this recording. The ladies were lovely, too. Big thanks to KTCL, they were really getting the good music out there.
A couple of things that stood out for me. I loved the transition from Covert to Deluxe, especially since it's in tempo with the studio version. Most live versions of Deluxe have the intro much slower before the drums kick it to high gear, but this was perfect! I also liked the live versions of Take and Ocean though the latter was a bit rushed, but was still cool. Being this was in 91, I'm assuming it was Steve Rippon on bass. Hearing Chris thanking "Charlie Chaplin" for their introduction was humorous. He's definitely missed.
Many thanks for the upload. Any chance you could re-upload this blocked video of a Teletunes interview with New Order, the Bunnymen and Gene Loves Jezebel (ua-cam.com/video/5FCO_HdDSnE/v-deo.html)?

Saw Ride and Lush do a double headliner at the ULU London I think this same year and it was Steve's last gig with Lush - fantastic memories.
As a young resident of Denver, the gothic is the best sounding venue, this set only reflects that. Pure perfection
May 21th 2024 in Germany: _Thank you so much for making this fantastic recording available !_
Thanks for uploading this. I think my ears are still ringing from seeing both Ride and Lush on that tour in 1991 in Long Beach, CA. Brilliant concert!
Thanks! I wanted to hear more of this era!
