When I'm covering motorsports, I usually am in shutter priority and will drag the shutter to show movement while panning (1/250 down to 1/30 second, at a base ISO of 200 or lower, with the corresponding aperture falling at f/7.1 - f/16). With aviation, propeller craft I try to keep the shutter between 1/60 - 1/500, and for jets 1/1000 and faster. If I am shooting stick and ball sports, I'll go usually go into aperture priority and keep it at a wide aperture, unless I am trying to get some motion blur. I find the E-M1X to be the perfect camera for all sports, and love the advanced AF tracking for motorsports and aircraft! Hope this helps!
