! Typical Capacity is 4000mAh, and Rated Capacity is 3880mAh!
What about the liquid cooling system
What's the difference? OnePlus says 4000mAh battery but it's really missing 120mah?
.
What's the difference between typical and rated ?
@@RaMpArT02 Each batteries' capacity will not be the same because it uses the chemical inside to store and produce electric energy. There will be about +-150mAh error. That's why we need typical capacity and rated capacity. The typical capacity means as all battery produced, the average capacity will be 4000mAh. The rated capacity means the minimum battery capacity will be 3880mAh.
I wouldn’t mind if these tear downs were a bit longer
Honestly I was thinking the same throughout the video. It seemed really rushed.

🤣
This ain't JerryRigEverything
Hairier arms than Jerry's though ...
Deeper grooves at a level 7
@@JMG_86 There is no Jerry. His name is Zack.
Almost a year and a half later and I have never heard of the mechanical front camera mechanism wearing out. It will last longer then the phone will.
Mine's still going strong today
Mines still working
Mine went out ages ago lol
The front facing camera's new pop up ability adds a mechanical element which is *more more* complicated to replace.
Nice
Good thing it’s all made of metal instead of plastic so I think it will last for the lifetime of the phone. For someone like me who virtually never takes selfies, I couldn’t care less about that camera, I want the full face display!
@@mrspeeddemon727 #uglygang I don't take selfies often either, really only for my Reviews, and that's it.
Unlike the Oppo X it only drives a small part, and is relatively well made. It's been rated fairly well. Biggest worry is that facial unlock will suck now.
@@almightydeity But we now have the more practical on-screen fingerprint reader. No big deal.
@@almightydeity actually this phone has faster face unlock than others even though it has a pop up camera.
So, no easier than any other phone I out there. Big surprise. :) Thanks for teardown, always enjoy them.
3:16 I think it is a lot easier to swap out the display with the frame, because gluing on the display is quite difficult task, so I personally prefer this way. Oneplus display replacements with pre glued midframe are surprisingly cheap
3:31 The glue is not a problem, but getting the back glass firmly back to its place is really difficult task
I am probably the guy who doesn't know how to properly glue things securely on so I would really like to see a tutorial on that. I am currently using an lg v30 with half glued back cover, because the oem replacement glue doesn't hold the glass

@0:17 that heat pack, mind blown! haha, awesome

Oh..wait..
Wrong Channel..
One of the best phones on the market. For the one plus 7 maxed out, you can get an XR at base price.
Or a Zenfone 6 with $166 in saving
@@eJohndoe pro still has the better screen, higher resolution, more versatile camera setup, and the top end has more ram.
Not to mention the pro can go through CDMA carriers. Just checked mine. It's compatible with Verizon's BYOD program as well as nearly any GSM carrier.
That's a pretty well designed phone.
One plus:no room for headphone jack ....
Now motorized camera mechanism with 4000mh battery.... Vision is wireless future but you can't have wireless charging....😅😅😂😂😂😝😝😝
There´s nothing "wireless" about the so call wireless charging, only downsides:
1)The base requires a cable, therefore is not "wireless".
2)The speed is sooo much slower than common charging.
3)The phones get warmer because of the induction system it requires while charging.
4)The most important for me: you can´t use the phones while charging it!! If you take it from the base, goodbye charging, while i can use it during conventional charging.
To sum up, i can´t see a single benefit from this "wireless charging" system ;)
Wireless charging is wastage of electricity . Watch ElectroBoom channel for learning more about drawbacks of wireless charging
@@lirv8604 so what's the benefits of removing headphone jack ? I wonder 🤔
@@lirv8604 I can think of one: It saves wear and tear on your USB port, which might not seem like much, but if you're up and down from your desk all day, the ability to put your phone on/take it off charge without wearing out your charging port is pretty useful.
@@lirv8604 But current "wireless charging methods" have gotten faster(15w and 20w) and though to not oneplus's standards, a coil costs like $5(at the most) to put in and it can help justify a glass abck other wise, they put in something useless(instead of never settle and cut out useless crap that the user donesn't reallt care about). They even got rid of the headphone jack which their own users have said they wanted to keep in their survey. Plus, a headphone jack is convenient in its own way while being better for making the device last longer.
How about the heat pipe? How does it dissipate heat during looong gaming sessions?
Why does the battery say 'Pb' did no one notice? I saw it at Jerryrigeverything his video too. It isn't common to have lead in a lithium ion battery imo?
What's wrong with your voice Jerry?

Lol definitely. Ifixit didn't tear the flash ribbon connector while removing the backplate!
And no comments about optical image stabilization either. 🤣

Very cool!
The Audio techica ATH-M50X is in the red and gold edition which I personally own as well!
Is it a big deal if you assemble it without the brackets ? Because i want to change the middle frame
I am in love with this phone
Gotta say it's probably the best screen on any phone I've seen. The 12GB model is is top on benchmarks currently
I am yet to see a teardown showing the alleged 10 layer liquid cooling system, but thanks for the video :)
Watch Jerry's video.
Jerry did by breaking the vapor chamber. Pretty standard heat pipe but 855 runs pretty cool anyway compared to 845.
Yeah Jerry checks that out. Spoiler alert, it's mostly just marketing jargon, it's a typical heat pipe that basically all phones have.
Is the motherboard in the oneplus 7 pro international compatible with the board in the tmobile variant, I have 2 of these and I would really like to swap board ? While comparing pics the boards seem to be the same both are the non 5g variant. I asked a phone repair shop and they said they weren't but I'm not convinced that's true.
What about the new vibration motor / haptic engine
I want to see the 10 layer cooling system 😑
JJ Sol47 no 10 layer, only 7 layers including the aluminium foil
Its from Jerryrigeverything...
@@Azhar27taz probably was referring to the number of wicks in the vapor chamber, which might be true. Still props for the milled aluminum body. Haven't seen that since one of LG's.
Almighty Deity yeah I agree,LG is too good in that department! Their marketing strategy is weak
@@Azhar27taz They have other issues as well. Battery life, screen quality, and too much emphasis on their "prototype" line while being too conservative on features of their flagship line.
Neat & clean video of course better than Jerry rig!
Great video, how big is the vibration motor?
Probably the same as in pixel 3xl , to me feels much stronger and better along the UI of OnePlus 7 pro( coming from pixel 3xl).
C G thank you!
Check out Jerry he showed it
@@Ali.shdifat His name is Zack, not Jerry. Jerry Rig has an entirely different meaning.
Can you do a tear down on the new MacBook Pro keyboard and what has changed from the 3rd generation keyboard.
Seems like most phones nowadays come with a relatively low repair score, due to the difficult to replace screen. Only the iPhone XS series managed to get anything higher than a 4, as the screen was first out.
I was also expecting a 3 rather than a 4 on this one. Maybe the easy to replace battery outweighs the now difficult to replace front facing camera.
Scratches at a level 6 with deeper grooves at a level 7... wait wrong channel
You do not need to remove the pop up camera in that fashion. If you watch the witrigs video the motor lifts straight off when the screws are removed. The rest of it can be pushed out of the hole in the top of the frame when you remove the bracket under the flex cable, leaving you with two easily manageable pieces instead of whatever you guys did there. Also you stuck your finger directly on one of the rear camera lenses.
from where i can buy the battery ?
Hi, how can I access the memory without the usb port? i dropped my phone in sea water and i need to save the stuff inside of it! please help
“It disconnects like a little LEGO”
Where about OnePlus 7t pro. When and why doesn’t has teardown about this phone. And long time I am waiting.
The only ones who take the chip's house out so we can see what it's like inside, congratulations!
вероятно систему оценок пора менять, так как без клея ничего сейчас не монтируется, да и надёжность скомпонованных на одной плате комплектующих одной группы вероятно выше чем если бы раскидать их по разным платам
Battery is not a 4000 mah?
There was even 4000mah written on the battery itself. Don't know why they said it's 3880
@Florian Ätsch yeah I've seen that as well. Problem is he said that "rated" battery capacity which is just false. Not a big deal but I can understand the confusion for some
@Florian Ätsch You got that reversed rated capacity is 3880 and typical or real capacity is 4000.
Rated capacity is what company designed it to be within safe limits but usually batteries can hold more than that so real capacity is a bit more than that which decreases with conditions like usage and temprature, etc.
@@martinvasicek1400 Please don't spread misinformation if you don't know what you're talking about. It's not same 128gb being 120gb.
Sorry! We totally misspoke

Jerry sounds a bit weird today 🤔🤔🤔

Daniel Astillero wrong channel😂
What do you think of the unofficial water resistance? Was there enough glue everywhere?
@1:35 No need to remove that spring. JerryRigEverything didn't remove it.
I was thinking about that...😂
Can someone point out where the antenna board and connector is?
There was a problem needing your help
Anyone knows how to replace the volume button
How hard is to disassemble the rear panel? And what is needed to reassmble it? I keep my devices for a long time (5 years normally) and i often have to replace the battery. I'm writing this from the OnePlus 7 pro i Just received, of course.
The battery looks EXTREMELY easy to replace. The screen - not so much.
How many speakers in total? The oneplus 7 t has 3
Pretty good video, but once again Zack from JerryRigEverything has your number on this type of videos
Why is the video zooming fast with disassembly of whole thing instead of tackling first the battery which is one of the likely things to be replaced, I don't need to take out the mobo to replace the battery.
They could have tossed a headphone jack in dat. I do give them props for making most of their parts modular. 🏹
Yeah, it's actually thicker than an s8+ so there'd easily be room. Problem with that is it's a pain to seal for water resistance. While this thing isn't technically IP68, it's built like it. O rings and sealant where you'd expect.
Almighty Deity There is actually no waterproof rating with this phone. I guess it a bit weaker than ip67.
@@RR-uc1wb That's because certification would cost $30 per phone according to OnePlus. It's sealed with O rings around all ports with speakers especially well sealed as seem from Jerry's teardown. It's water and dust resistant even if no IP rating has officially been given for it.
Do Asus Zenfone 6 next please.
Plz teardown Nokia 7 plus
Still better than Apple's phone
It's still better than most phones. Other than Xiaomi I've lost hope for the other big phone makers.
What about the liquid cooling system
It's fake. There is at max 2 or 3 layers. Check jerryrig teardown video.
Do teardown on oneplus 7
no external audio dac
Why there is no video for the OnePlus 7 (Non Pro)?
#oneplus7 #ifixit
We want to see 2019 MacBooks Pro teardown to see The „new” fixed keyboard
Gonna wait for that order came in.. like that thing only came out last night~
And the display cable problem
The big changes are the new materials. Wired, I believe, had a video comparing the new components. Apple basically went with a different polymer. A new band-aid for the same old fragile design

What about the forgotten oneplus 7?
You should have shown us the 10 layer liquid cooling pipe.... Not only thermal paste
From what I heard, the ten layer liquid Cooling is exaggerated
The call speaker on my mobile is not working
How about OnePlus 7t pro or McLaren edition and why doesn’t has teardown about this phone.
its the same thing
The front facing camera is easier to replace. Jerryrigeverything easily did it.
You need to change the camera views. Is it better to u
The headphones on are not working as well
Did they say 48 MB camera 😱
Still feels easier to repair than an iPhone. 😂
Vivek Sabbani lol no. Back entry will always be worse
Depends on what part you need to replace. For screens, iPhones would probably be easier.
Jerryrigeverything is better, sorry
Zack is the first to teardown the oneplus 7 pro😝
Will everyone think Apple will bring ProMotion 120Hz OLED Super Retina to next iPhone like many High end Monitors on PC ?
Sure, but they'd charge even more for it. Apple is behind in the industry and even when they add a new feature, they charge way more.
EpicN But I thought iPhone XS has the same price as iPhone X? More features, no price increase.
Where is the speaker?
i was expecting 4000mah battery. btw we should not touch camera module specially the lens while removing it.
The battery is rated for 4000mah. The smaller number is essentially what is expected in real use, due to margin of error. This is the same for all phones.
@1:01 Auch! Don't touch the camera lens by it self.....
0:12, the main pro of oneplus 7 is its 90fps refreshing rate, all the others mentioned u can get on a 200 bucks phone.
Yes Display
90Hz 2K HDR+
OiS
UFs 3.0
the battery is not red. guess who is not mad but disappointed
Jerry was very disappointed 😂😂😂
Wasn't it supposed to have a liquid cooling system?
Sri Ram I guess that was marketing speak for a bunch of thermal paste.
@@isafbriefingofficer01 yeah they explicitly mentioned a "10 layer liquid cooling system"
There are liquid in the cobber heatpipes. Just very very little. Just like the Samsung.
I am confused... Pls help🤔
ONEPLUS 7 PRO or SAMSUNG S10
iPhone 5s
The Legendary Nokia...
Oneplus 7 Pro for the win. I had the S10, poor reliability, poor aftersales support.
so i got here to see how to disassemble the phone in order to clean usb c slot .. after seeing this in sec thought meh i am no longer wanna clean that sh*t
Why did you spoiled it,jerry rig should have done this first
What's her name she's made it look so simple! Amazing from other teardown videos
Her name is Kelsea. She is really good at her job of teardowns and voiceover.
She can make it look and sound very simple, It's not easy. Your mistakes when you are learning can get very expensive quickly.
Isn't the battery supposed to be 4000mAh ??
Why it is listed 3880 mAh ?
They messed their video info up. Check their description.
3880mAh = minimum, average capacity is 4000mAh

Scratches at lvl 6 with deeper grooves at lvl 7?
It says Teardown, not durability test.
I think OnePlus lied about liquid cooling system
@AWholeHam They advertise a 10-layer cooling system. There's two pieces of copper and the chassis. If you count both sides of the copper things, the paste, the water, the wick, the chassis...they never get past 8-layers max.
They lied about 3x zoom too
Liquid cooking system...
3x zoom...
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Still gonna get it though! I'll make use of every single penny, even if it isn't worth that much. My phone uses me much more than 5 hours a day... I charge my OnePlus 3 at least twice a day.
Hope one plus have tablet devices..
Now put it back into the phone
