Love this station. We have four plywood sections we used in the same way they do here. One of them had holes in the sides. You had to take off your airpack crawl in put it on and then take it off before you moved on.
What's up with the audio? It seems like the 2 mic channels have been separated. It just sounds weird on my headset one side just goes silent when the other person is talking
Sorry about that. I personally did the edits and I’m learning. I used a speaker and not headphones so I did not notice. I’ll fix for next time. How did you like the insert of the ride along?
Np. I thought it was my headset playing up lol. Then I started another video of yours and it was fine. I just wanted to give you a heads up in case it was a problem for everyone. The ride along insert was good I was not expecting it. @@HeroesNextDoor
Depending on what Editing software you are using, you may be able to make the Speaker set "Mono-channel" Instead of stereo, Or you may be able to simply normalize the Audio. And for the Ride along, I Love to see them! Great Job on Editing BTW, The Videos look and sound very professional. @@HeroesNextDoor
Scotty, Where is this road? It looks like an old divided highway? I saw another similar super lowboy setup over to the left. What where they carrying? Great fast pass - in slow mo!
In the beginning I was wondering why this station seemed so familiar. I began to think that you already did this one. But then I remembered that I (obviously) saw it on _Station Saturdays_ on the SMFR PIO channel. They showcased when they first moved in there...
@@HeroesNextDoor Not really, as far as I can tell. But it's also relatively new, the "Station Saturday" of it came out in Juli 2021. The only thing I don't recall from the original tour is the training area above the vehicle bay with the changable interior design, which is a genius addition.
Interesting he said, "it could be considered a quint." I asked Eric and did some research a couple years ago and all the ladders (only two for SMFR) and towers (rest of the aerial devices) are classified as quints.
Just my .02 cents…being a a member of an older big city FD in the Northeast, these videos don’t help when the stations in your department are basically falling apart , with leaking pipes, rodents, parking issues, etc. But at the same time I’m proud to work in a department where there are real fire stations with some character.
Maybe try and use these videos to show the community and politicians that change needs to happen and increased support is the only way to survive. However we all feel the same way. Sometimes even nostalgic about our old houses/stations
Mike love the channel , been following you for awhile now . But I have to say that lately the videography has been a bit off . Second cameraman consistently in the background, at one point he squeezes between you, the Lieutenant and the 1st camera operator 1:53 . There have been extreme close up shots and a few out of focus briefly. I hope this is just you working out the kinks of a new 2 camera system, but the last few videos have been off because of the poor videography and shot set ups. Like I said I love the channel and will continue to watch
Thanks for watching the 2nd guy was a temp for the trip. He used his own set up and not HND equipment. Also this was one of the first times we tried the 2nd guy. Always trying new things to see if it helps.
@@HeroesNextDoor thanks a lot :) I also would suggest some color correction, if you shoot in raw/prores, cause in some places different cameras give different colors
Outlaw, schmoutlaw. Firefighters shouldn’t outlaw them. These poles save firemen time. They can slip on the stairs so they do need a way to descend. Of course there are one storied stations.
I really want to love the videos, but when the guy talking, points something out and all we see is him pointing and not what he's point at, doesn't make for a good video. please show more of the station, and equipment, and not so much of Mike...sorry we know what he looks like.
I live in Centennial, CO and am enjoying the South Metro series very much keep up the fantastic videos!
Cool, thanks!
Bringing a section of wall like that is not easy. That is awesome.
One of the best ways we have seen so far to keep the old with the new
I think that you wearing your uniform make great touch with visit with the stations. I love your videos.
Thanks
@tracylarson1935 Agreed.
“Ride alongs” are always great Mike! Would enjoy them in future videos. (Just my opinion.) “past vol. FF”
Noted!

If you didn't know south metro covers all of the southern suburbs of denver like parker castle pines Lonetree
Not sure but google might be able to give a map of their area
I don’t think the truck engineer chocked the wheels when they arrived on scene.
He did I just cut the video to speed it up
Do you think they use that basement area for a Community storm shelter? 25:11
Not sure but it would work for that!
Eric Hurst @1:56
@CorAY82383 Sounds like you got a “hard on.”😂😂
Is Station 32 getting a Engine company - because it looks like it has more room for one. ?
Room for expansion but the last bay is for med 2
Make sure you keep testing your fire department doors and order the food if you need to
Interesting video Mike. Thanks for sharing!
You bet

What's there web store address. The one I found shows nothing available.
Not sure. Have to talk to Eric to get that.
Seems like audio is only on the left channel
edit: only for the intro
Sorry I missed that. I personally did the edits and used a speaker. I’ll have to make sure I use headphones next time. Cause I missed it.

Let's go, I love this mike
Thanks that means a lot
WHAT INSIDE STATION 32 HEROES NEXT DOOR
They didnt show med 2
It was out
Next time with med 2?
Great video
Thanks!
How many more videos do you have of south metro
This was the last. We spent a week there 😉
Stilll waiting for my department to be uploaded to here, long wait 😳
What can we do to help?
@Secretmonke First, Mike needs to be invited! He won’t just “show up” some random day.
Love the station crib but audio needs some fixing. It feels weird while using my headset.
Yeah that’s my fault. Sorry. I used an external speaker and did not realize the difference with headphones on.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH
First one
Beautiful, functional station. I didn't catch what the 4th bay houses, if it was mentioned, though.
Fourth bay is for the EMS battalion chief. He was out mostly all day. Another F150 set up
@@HeroesNextDoor Thanks for the quick response and great job on these videos!
