$3,800,000 Fire Station RENOVATION Tour

- Welcome to the newly 3.8 million dollar renovated Fire Station 49, of East Brandywine Fire Company! We're proud to showcase their updated facility that blends cutting-edge technology with a nod to their local culture.
Their state-of-the-art station is fully equipped with the latest technology, including energy-efficient lighting, and an integrated communications system with multiple monitors strategically placed throughout the stations, that ensures our firefighters can respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently.
Their renovation was also designed with the latest National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations in mind. From updated electrical systems to modern HVAC units, they made sure their station meets the highest standards of safety and functionality.
They didn't forget about our local culture, either. The design incorporates elements of the community's history, including a large mural that will be placed in the foyer of the Witmer Conference Center depicting the fire department history on display honoring their volunteer firefighters.
They are proud to say that the renovation has vastly improved our workflow in the bays. They added designated spaces for equipment maintenance and cleaning and separate areas for training and meetings. Their firefighters can now move quickly and efficiently from their living quarters to the garage bays, ensuring they are ready to respond to any emergency immediately. In this day and age of working from home, they have created a designated space for those two to work at the station and still respond to the community's needs.
Thank you for joining us on this tour of East Brandywine’s newly renovated fire station. We hope you appreciate the hard work that went into making this facility one of the best in the region.

This is awesome. 70 active members is a miracle in this day and age. I think you have more active in your station then the combined 5 firehouses in my area. Wow
The renovation is awesome, you knocked it out of the park. Too many great items to list. I am very impressed. Outstanding job by all. Kudos to the design teams.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely beautiful Station! One of the nicest ive seen.
Im from the UK so we dont have Volunteer fire depts .....
BUT i came across east brandywine station (as you so often do) on YT when one of thier vids popped up on my recomendations...SO watched a few of thier vids and it peaked my interest and decided to look into them more! .....i OBV did the google maps search and street view came up with the old fire station ...and the last view was just after renovations started ! ..
I have A LOT OF RESPECT for fire companies across the US that are just like East Brandywine as a 100% VOLUNTEER fire fighter service where Municipal contributions cover less than half of thier operating cost so depend on donations ect! ...
Im so glad they have got this BRAND NEW fire house (and kept it operational to the max during the long renovations which must of been tough as covid ect delayed it all) the old station (looking at pics) was ok and served its purpouse to an extent but did need renovating to a modern standard ect and im SOOOOO glad to see the new station and your walkround of it! (tbh it put me in mind even though its a tv show of the station from 9-1-1 Lonestar! ) .... May Station 49 and the east brandywine fire service continue to serve the community with bravery and distinction!
PS im now a subscriber because of this amazing video!
Thank you we appreciate that !
Thanks, Mike: This station is incredibly well-designed and highly functional.
Amazing station. Mix of new and old. Very practical
Make your way up to Mass, the city of Taunton has a couple of the oldest fire stations in the country still in operation! They’re overdue for a new updated central station, which is in the approval stage as we speak
Send us the invites we are looking to head north this year some time. Either up the east coast or up to the UP of Michigan
Great video!
Their trucks are gorgeous! Love the roto rays!
There is a Rigs Episode coming so make sure to subscribe and click the notification
Loving the tele-commuting space. I have now passed that idea along to my Chief officers. Nice work.
Awesome video Mike!! Thank you! Hope you and your family are doing well. Stay safe.
All good thanks for watching
That is an awesome revamped station, I can tell a lot of thought and time that has been put into doing this. Also for the firefighters and staff, shows what the company wants to help the crews relax, develope the skills and knowledge for new and existing members, not only that but to help keep the high levels of firefighters.
Thank you very much!
The FD rep is an outstanding PIO!
Awesome video and that's a beautiful firehouse!!
A lot of thought into this transformation, looks good and sqaured away
Would love to see you guys in Massachusetts, all over the state we have very old and out dated stations
Love the new station
GREAT CHANNEL!!!!!!! EMERGENCY AND BEYOND...........
Beautiful station well thought lay out well thought on where to put things looks more user friendly in my opinion
I agree!
Great lookin station!
Awesome beautiful station
Thanks for watching
Love the station
Excellent video as usual Mike, liked and shared 🧑🏻👍🏻🚒
Thanks again!
@@HeroesNextDoor It's alright mate 🧑🏻👍🏻
Nice looking Firehouse.
It sure is
The renovation is AMAZING! Such a beautiful, perfect station. Imo I very much prefer the yellow/green firetrucks. I dunno why, to me it looks better than red.
Fair enough!
I love this thank you for doing these keep it up do you come to Ohio
Join the Discord and you havve to get an invite from the station
Awesome.
Thanks!
Please do a video with Redline gear cleaning service. Fire fighter owned and operated and they drive home those life, health, safety concerns you always mention. By the way I appreciate you pointing out the compliance to safety standards because the risk of the job is too high for our heroes to succumb to health issues from lacking support services or basic infrastructure.
Very nice video and awesome firestation. Have you ever got invited to some of the big cities departments? Bosten, NY, LA, Chicago ect?
We have done Denver CO. And are working with Philadelphia but the short answer is no not yet
@@HeroesNextDoor Cant wait for a Philly!
Be nice to incorporate some technical rescue into the space
🔥🔥🔥
Nice
Thanks
Yellow is better than airport green. I know a department that had a chief that had the whole fleet set out and painted green. How the city approved that is beyond me. But the went back to red as new units came on line.
How many different types of calls do they receive daily?
Can you go back to West Grove?
have you ever got invited to Allendale, MI because they just got a million dollar plus upgrade or a whole new building.
Hello
Heroes Next Door
Hello back
Weird that a fire station of that caliber doesn't have full time paid firefighters. All volunteers is something I've never seen.
its like a yellow mustard color on the trucks
As long as the town can support 4 solid Gold Gargoyles on the top.
It would of been nice if they invited ALL the life members that are still alive for a tour.
Great idea
*the station renovation the day after I retire*
Such an amazing set up!!!
It really is!
16:01 Who's that guy at the door? Is he trying to listen to your conversation 😅
That my filmer 😂🤣
I see two things wrong. Your gym where you said the badge # of the PD is the door code. That seems anyone can know a cops badge # and walk right in. I also saw the handicap bathroom in the bunk room/area but only stares and no elevator? That is odd.
There are safe guards to not let that happen. And we did not show all the handicap access
45:29 - What are those red rope balls for?
They are a guide for the operator when they are placing the aerial device
We will talk about those in the station rigs episode next week
Firehouse or hotel
Are you going to come back to Indiana
One day YES !
Great video. There is a security concern I have. At around 18 minutes, John says the keypad code for the gym is the same as police officers' badges. Most police have to give their name and badge # upon request. I would hate to see that taken advantage of.
Thanks for your insight we will pass that along .
Their is measures in place to ensure that just the badge number alone won’t won’t work
If people are desperate enough to risk going to jail for going to a gym that is hilarious 😂
@@malikmoody-rivera7777 glad to know.
Please german subtitles on your vids 😊
Not sure how to do that
So.............what's their "Culture"?
Nothing
Imagine not being paid and then they dump almost 4mil on a new building
Taxes wasted so much unnecessary spending
There is no taxes they took out loans and saved.
This is a waste of taxpayers money
Why ? It excellent use !
Not at 3.5 million all these Fire dept should be go private owner
I don't believe in socialism and fire department is socialism
@@HeroesNextDoor This is ridiculous. It is a fire station not a country club. Public sector always got their hand out. My EB and Wallace township ancestors would be sickened by this. Thieves.
@@Steve-cu1yehurr durr socialism bad
Stop shoving NFPA regulations down people's throats. If members clean their gear regularly, they can put it anywhere they want
NFPA is the standard to which most insurance company hold. So if there is a death whether on the job or off it would be easier to get the benefits you deserve for serving the community
They can do, if they are selfish clubbers who give zero crap about their health, their mates, their crews, their colleagues…..
Those regulations are exactly that: regulations… not advice.. they are there for a specific purpose.. but hey… sod it. Just cos you want a political argument over been “forced” to give a damn about anyone but yourself
Volunteer department?
The word membership makes me think so,that’s the difference between professional and career,it’s not like a club!
Yep this is a volunteer station 100%. They vote members in each month
Nice
Thanks
