The original has the filter envelope decay very quickly so there is just that quick hit of filter, then it mellows. Yours is not like that but could be easily fixed.

It is. A BSII with the 4.14 firmware is the same as an AFX Station. The difference is that the new facelift makes it way easier to use the new modes without having to remember which buttons and keys access which functions.

The company has been constantly updating firmware for synths that have literally been around for decades. In fact, they're probably the best company I can think of in terms of continually adding features to long-running synths.
Everybody is raving about the Roy G. Biv patch (which is spot on by the way!) but damn, that The Fourth Below patch is beautiful! Makes me want to grab one of these synths.

Thanks. I added some reverb to most of it but also the last piece had the synth running through the Hologram Microcosm which adds all sorts of variations on the sound throughout the stereo field.

The MS1 is excellent but the BS2 seems to go further. It’s really a cross between a 101 and a Moog.
