I bought one of these. It's a great guitar. I kind of wish it had fanned frets, but in every other aspect it feels like a superior guitar to my NK, which is already awesome
Interesting comments about the investment of time and then pulling the video because of issues or concerns. OK, I accept I don't know all of the circumstances, however, a review that highlights issues or concerns provides feedback that might warn potential buyer, or at least puts them on notice to be careful. Valuable videos don't always have to come with a ringing endorsement. That's the real value of independent reviews. In contrast, my local music shop, who have never stocked anything other than a perfect instrument.
In his quest to make the instruments ever more accessible and mass produced, Ola has left quality behind - just my opinion. I’ve owned multiple Strandbergs over the years to include the made to measure, Strictly 7, Washburn Custom Shop, MIJ, made in Korea, and made in Indonesia models. The more recent guitars just don’t measure up when it comes to the quality of woods, fret work and overall set up. I wouldn’t get one now unless it was plek’d at the very least. It’s disappointing to get a cool headless guitar with an innovative neck shape (endurneck) with sub par fret work and quit often zero fret issues as well.
I bought a guitar “based” to Stradenberg models, from a Chinese luthier, SS and fanned frets, his own “endurneck” more rounded, and body shape similar with a few changes, I was very impressed with the perfect fretwork and all for $500, but I have the feeling that new “affordable “ line of Strandberg not will wows me like that for the double of the price
You should release the video as a complete report. How the frack will the future Guitarists know what to look out for. You are doing a disservice to the whole guitar community. Not to mention your credibility with non-trasparency.
The mongo in me just wants that endure neck shape on a non-headless guitar. Probably one more reason i never get invited to hang out with the smart kids:)
This is exactly what I want. I was always afraid of fanned frets. The Endure neck seems pretty cool though. This is the Strandberg for me, I think.
More interested in the Resq line where it's a regular Strandberg but the wood body might have imperfections. Limited edition though.
I hope they off an essential with a trem!
