Dear Moto Matt, I would really like that drift cart that is in this video. It is so cool to see somebody use that on the street. I’m pretty sure street legal and I love cars, but I’m too young to drive cars so go kart are my way to go you are such an inspiration to me if you’re reading this thank you for your time.
I'm pretty sure that motor revving at the end of this video is the black "Supra from Hell"!!! Which still is one of my favorite two minute videos to watch. Lol
That thing is bananas, and u managed it well around! I'm building a 3k watt mini ATV but my 72v battery will end up in something like this eventually. Keep em comin!
The pvc grips up alot nice on concrete, also if you heat them up by drifting around full throttle for a little it will grip up wen you see those dark patches
I also built a drift gokart and originally was going to go with a surron setup but im kinda glad I didnt. I love hearing the motor even if it isnt as fast. Once your kart has the angle mods that thing is gonna be ripping sideways! Too bad I dont live near any of the other kart drifters :(
I feel like you should cut the pvc down so its 3/4-1 inch wide and run them in the center of the rear tires. Test drive it and see if you are getting enough slide if not then cut another ring the same size and instead of running in the center of the tire have 1 ring on the outside edge and the other on the inside edge. Again test drive it and if its not then do a 3rd ring on each tire outside center and inside. Hopefully that makes sense but id think it would allow you to retain a bit of grip and slide as well
Skidpad in a controlled environment or putting pvc pipes on a drift kart is a much safer way to teach you the basics of drifting instead of taking a miata around the neighborhood causing havoc so i aplaud you for that sir! 🫡
i think with somethings more gripy can be better , for drift you need traction , max traction until you can't keep it sideways , i gess it's same for the kart ;)
In order for the cart to be well controlled, it is necessary to change the corners of the front suspension.. 1) en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackermann_steering_geometry 2) negative camber =2° 3) caster wheel angle =6.5° To turn the wheel more, you have already shortened the rotary lever of the wheel.
so what fixed the over steering issue? i see you adjusted the PVC sleeves to sit better on the tires/wheels, also you drilled different holes on the spindle to give it more steering angle? or just more toe out? i see people adding adapting plate at the steering shaft where the tie rod is attached to push the tie rod mounting further out.
Thanks for the response buddy, I hope to finish my kart build soon, been on some cheap eBay 1800watt 48v setup for years, finally decided to upgrade. Meanwhile, watching every video there is on UA-cam@@motomatt224
I want to build 2-8 10 MPH ones with Electronically controlled suspension to double as a motion simulator for Multi seat Vehicular VR laser-tag, think Mad Max, maybe with airsoft as everyone will be wearing VT headsets and helmets anyway.
It's a typical tag kart frame birel makes a bunch quite a few options margay also comes to mind just search shifter kart and tag kart. Generally shifter karts come with front brakes tag karts rear brake only. Both can be adapted to except many different motor options. Super karts are Generally 250cc. Being the rules being strict the frames are all nearly identical it comes down to tuning selecting correct gearing and rear axle among some other things.

your explanations are always so clear, thank you!

Heck yeah! Stoked we got the kart drifting good! Waaaaayyy too much fun

We need a Sur Ronster review ASAP👏🏾👏🏾

Where did you get the parts to build yours?
@@hooninghavoc2489 bmikarts and the rest of the stuff i made or welded.
If you want the cart to have snappier transitions, increase your toe out by shortening tie rods . Noticed your Ackerman is negative (anti)
Intro music IT'S TO LOUD!!
The go-cart IT'S TO COOL!!
😉
Noted!
first guy who drifts properly in a drift kart ive seen so far.... awesome
The DIY angle kit is rad. Love it

can you share the components of the build i have been wanting to make one but Im not sure where to start and what parts to get?
1st EV I like! ALmost 60 and would be ripping this around my sr. community. haha
I love that Toyota Hilux you have, it looks tough as!
Thanks! Still building it up 🤘🏻
Nice rippin at the end bro.
It looks like great fun!
if you want less grip at the rear you must widen the rear tyres , if you have to little steerin in the front you toe out and go wider
Cool! That rear wing though.... I think it's paltry weight will do more than any aerodynamic forces it exerts.
It looks cool though. So why not
Do you have a video on this kart build? That is freaken sweet!!
Bought it already running when I had surgery and couldn’t ride. But I can make a video talking about exactly what parts it uses
Yes please do that , need help knowing what to buy to build a cart like yours with the handbrake… Thanks
Use HDPE. More traction! Also, throw some balance beads in. Smooths out the ride a lot!
Skidpad in a controlled environment or putting pvc pipes on a drift kart is a much safer way to teach you the basics of drifting instead of taking a miata around the neighborhood causing havoc so i aplaud you for that sir! 🫡
Spray some tyre shine on the rubber wheels and it will drift for about a minute. But it’s fun
Awesome job... It cost a Back but totally worth it 😂
😂😂😂
try hdpe sleeves that can break loose but have better traction than video.
you culd've made a 45 degree bevel on the inner edge to get the pipe on easier
i think with somethings more gripy can be better , for drift you need traction , max traction until you can't keep it sideways , i gess it's same for the kart ;)
KEN BLOCK Spirit is in there!
Yah. That’s where the tire drop came from
omg I knew that school looked familiar! Rippin it in the LE huh ;) best hope security doesnt roll in while yall goof around in the parking lot.
Cleanest drift kart ever
Love these videos
Thanks!

Just adding more steering angle completely fixed the problem. The PVC also got more grip once it was more broken in.

Хоть кто-то использует пустые тротуары 😁
At least someone uses empty sidewalks 😁
Man that's dope😂😂😂
u need to adjust ackerman and camber. might need to cut your knuckle mount. u can learn these setting on rc drift
Terrible j'aimerais tellement faire la même... Merci de France 🇫🇷
youy should 100% try to build it custom to have suspension and front brakes
like surronsters go kart so it has a lil more of ride hight
👊 Soooooooo much fun to watch! I'm old and my body aches from doing stuff like that when I was young, but 💯 worth it. 🤙 You totally rock!
What motor battery and controller are you running? I have a shifter kart im gonna make electric like yours
BRO So Sick!!!
Grove street, home.
# 2:03 all we had to do was follow the damn train cj !
So you need to extend the leverage on your steering to get big lock .. we do it for dirt racing
So where the two tie rods meet extend that part
Good job.
where did you buy the sleeves?
Yew get it 🤘🏻
I’d crash it without the plastic ! 😂Looks fun tho
How much it cost looks cool
The first drift you did at 5:00 was smooth as!
Cool. Also subscribed
Wich motor is in there? I want to build a driftcart too
Surron Light Bee Motor. There’s a couple better options out there though. I would get something with a gear reduction built into it
@@motomatt224 70mph would be enough. thanks
Your so lucky bro I wish I had an electric go kart i want to build one but I don't have that kind of money.
Can I buy
gotta do like 1/5 inch big and cut the sleeves in halves
Which engine do you have?
Did u buy or build the kart nd if your bought it from where
You have to custom build them. It’s on a shifter cart Chassis, Surron Motor, and aftermarket controller.
What controller ?and is it ac or dc ???
Como você fez esse aerofolio??
bro that is the coolest sh!t I have ever seen 🤙🤘
Thanks! Thing is wicked fun
What motor and controller are you using ?
street ride it in a city that would be the best vid
honest question, why add a handbrake, if the foot pedal only brake the rear axle?
The brake will slow it down but a handbrake will lock the tires up instantly
Cart didn’t have a foot brake when I got it. Going to be adding it back so I have both.
@@motomatt224 Got it. Nice project
I need this blueprint for the frame... or a kit... or something brother.
That is so fast 7:26
Do you have the blueprint for the frame i would love to make this myself
塩ビ管とは違うのかな?
苦労してハメた甲斐があったね。
It's so good!!
Try it in the rain next
Привет, какой материал трубы, надетой на колесо?
How many volts have your motor
72v
Can we get a build list?
What controller and is it dc or ac ??
It’s a brushless Sensored Motor. Forgot the name of the controller but it was only $400 on ebay
Question how much to build one of these ?
Around 2-3k if you can source good deals.
Kulandığın elektirik motorun özelliklerini yazarmısın
How to build this gokart?? List please

hell yeah, man. microplastics for everyone.
Where do i get one of these bad boys
It's how bro say" say u good"💀
How much did your kart cost to build?
I live near you bro we gotta race 😂
What you got under the hood?
@@motomatt224 420cc predator
Can you show me the pieces for the “go kart”?
I’ll make a video showing it. But it’s a surron Power Plant in a shifter cart chassis
@@motomatt224 it’s been 3 months😢
But I’ll wait

honestly it looks like you need more angler with the steering
Why the hand brake? It only has brakes on the rear axle which is live. You could just use the pedal.
Didn’t come with a foot brake. Bought one but haven’t installed it yet 😅
確かに塩ビ管使ったらスライドは抜群にするようになるけど、トラクション自体も無くなるから「う〜ん…」だな😅
What go kart is that?
Emmick Chassis, Surron Powerplant
Thanks
those wheels got oil'd 🙏😭
What kind of motor and battery can I put on my drift trike?
This is a Surron Light bee Motor. Might be over kill for a trike
bro is playing Mario cart 8
bro i couldn’t even tell u only have 14k subscribers…Great video man good quality
Thanks bro! Appreciate it
Классный проект
kaç watt?
You have to make the go kart turn more angle so you can drift bigger angle
2:04 for a second i hear a f1 Noise
Murietta mentioned?
Usa com capa de ferro dá mais grip
HELL YEAH!
make the axle longer
