Did you just spend the day on the island and then go back to the ship for your sleeping 🛌 accommodation? I also wondered what the arrangements would be for travelers who couldn’t make it back to the ship because weather prevented it for the day. As always, you did an incredible job with your video. They just keep getting better.😊 🚢 🌊

Josh needs to come back to Australia, he is losing his Aussie accent. But, his meet-up with Rowan must've got his Aussie phrases back. But, living in Australia might cook his budget, as we know how expensive it is to fly anywhere. For what we pay SYD-LAX economy return, Josh would spend 1/4 of that on a business class flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul or Singapore to Abu Dhabi. One-way Qantas MEL/SYD/BRIS to Singapore would cost him money he could spend on that lobster he mentioned in this video. Actually, SYD-PERTH one-way costs more than SYD-Auckland return with flights & 3 nights accommodation.

Some of my family lives on that Island. My grandma came to Britain when they had to be evacuated and stayed there after marrying.

I love it! I’m sure that there are hardships but the beauty, ruggedness and simplicity are quite alluring. The only thing I’d suggest: cheerful colors on the buildings.

Great video Josh. When I first started traveling in the early 1980s. The one thing that I tried to remember if I could, was how the air smelled? When I first landed in West Germany, I remember the air smelling acidic from all the acid rain and pollution. Calgary, Canada. Was my favorite. The air smelled amazing and clean. Just a quirk from a ton of years in travel

From what I understand there is the one and only bus service on the island over to the potato patch where the community has allotments to grow potatoes. There are also some guests houses if you happens to stay overnight. I'm so glad you got to make this visit. I would love to read the copper's book!

Great video Josh! I love how you’ve branched out more and more from reviews of mainstream airlines in recent years. I’m over bloggers like Nonstop Dan and his repetitive videos of premium cabins on the ME3. I still love your quirky flight reviews but this was so much more compelling and fascinating than another view of another basically identical airplane cabin and toilet. 😉. Thanks for this insight into one of the world’s truly remarkable and hidden places! I almost feel like I’ve been there now!
