Ohhh how often have we opened that - haha... and yes, I don't even look to the bottom of the door ... The TDI window winder is much simpler than the TD5... they had a really 'good' idea with a clip there, which will jump somewhere in case you get'm out ... All the best and keep on rolling - cheers Axel
It’s great when I shut my doors, all of the rust from the bottom of the frame falls out. And I don’t need to worry about undoing the screws along the bottom of the door because there aren’t any left. And the door card flapping around gives better ventilation so preventing rust. Maybe.
@@mrcvry definitely dont do that. Rust converter wont penetrate the layers of rust. It acts as a barrier and once broken locks moisture under and speeds up the rusting process. Waxoil stops the rust process by bonding to it and eliminating oxygen that causes the rust process. It forms a flexible membrane that will not crack and trap moisture underneath
Hi there, Very nice video. Need to do some work on my doors too. Mostly to make them look better and ill clean the sand out haha. Also have hub seals leaking so yea.... joy. Work ahead. Would love to see a video on the seals if you can. Best regards, Paul
Hi Marcel, thanks for the info. I have no idea where to find the part your looking for. Maybe braze it or soulder it. Stay safe mate, say hi to Vic for me. Chris.

I feel I need to add this: 😂
This is how Defender owners roll 🤘
A Simply Fab Life damn straight man 😉
Fill the bottom with waxoil. Will keep it going for another few years
Good shout... maybe a bit late for these doors - and I say that purely based on curiosity regarding development of rust 🤨🤔😊
Yes. Too late. They are already rusted. Put some rust converting stuff in. Something like Owatrol.

If I can get to the seals I'll do a video... weirdly in this time we are busy as ever like everyone else 😅. Don't slam too hard 😊
@@ASimplyFabLife Feel you, just keep swimming
Paddocks should have one. or you could like the other viewer said just braze it up. good vid. cheers....
Thanks!
Need to stay on top of these things or you end up revisiting them five years later! 😮😀
When we did mine we used numberplate screws with there
Arguably the better route than employing seven different screws 😂

Thanks Chris. Will have a look with a welding guy in the village...
You too stay safe! 😊
Our doors were worse. Replaced them with puma doors
Defender archeology kkkkkkkk
