    I love being grounded back into the basics. It really opens up new avenues where I don't get stuck in my own BS. I never kick right in with dazzling stuff. I warm up on 1-4-5 progressions and basic timing practice. Then I get creative later. It works for me.

      Can anyone offer a local musical instrument location, or private party where good quality playing"Honer" & competitors harmonicas for beginners can be bought. I'm hearing that Honer "C"s are the practical ones to begin with.?

    I once had a bassplayer talking trash about me playing harp at a jam session.... He got really quiet when he heard me playing almost all his basslines with him simultaniously.... I got my payback acompanied with his apologies.... He was genuinly impressed I could play along with him like that. And as it should we do play together a lot at jam sessions now ;)

    This lesson is amazing. Thank you!
    I used this walking baseline riff to vastly improve my tongue blocking. It provides a framework for a riff that isn’t boring to play, doesn’t drive my spouse crazy, and begins to sound really cool when you get better at tongue blocking and adding flavor to it.
    Please keep the content coming!

    I'm no musician but is there a bit missing in the tab? The way I hear it is: Ix2, IV x 1, IxI, ?xI, and then finally the turnaround thing. Can you do a full tab? Very helpful by the way.

    • @Harmonica123
      @Harmonica123  3 роки тому +2

      Steve, it's all there but I recommend that YOU write it out. It's super easy and I don't want to cheat you out of that work. Simply do the following. Write out the measures in a 12 bar with the I IV V and plug (I I I I IV IV I I V IV I I/V) in those lines I have in the description. That's it. For the turnaround, play what you feel or simply go back to the I chord. Make sense? Download a 12 bar chart and see if what I put in the description makes sense.

    • @Harmonica123
      @Harmonica123  3 роки тому +2

      they are in the video description AND I do call out the notes. I think it benefits us all to write them out. :) sometimes I include tabs on the video itself but not too often.

    You sound better than most of these Bob Dylan sounding blues harp players, Bob Dylan was a great for his style, donovan thats your style, none of the blues harp players like Little Water Billy Bizor Jimmy cotton Lester Hayes, Sonny boy Williamson slim harpo play your style, you need to sit down and listen to these blues masters more careful that’s how I learned listening to their records and trying to copy them I’ve played with Muddy Waters blues band after he died, John Lee Hooker and sat in with a lot of other Bluesmasters , still playing I’m 77
