My dad suggested I'd rent my coupe to wedding couples and I went "Sure. I'll be the driver, the bride will be my passenger and the groom... Well, maybe on the running boards or in the trunk, who cares." ;)

Better than the way a dog would mark it. That's a magnet I use to hold papers I want to reference while a car is on the lift.

Completely understand the joy this type of giving brings. My 1930 unrestored Dlx Coupe (in the family since 1967) has added to smiles as the 'delivery' vehicle to Great Gatsby themed Birthday events and such. Share the joy and smiles! Two things that seem to always bring smiles,.....Model A's and Bacon!!

So many memories of my wedding many years ago. We did live happily ever after. We married in the church office with our two best friends, the preacher, and an old lady playing an organ. Most everyone else said it will never last. Sometimes I wondered!
My wife passed on weeks before our 62nd anniversary. My daughter recently posted on her Facething photos of my new red Model A, saying I learned to drive in one just like it. I actually learned in a 1955 Chevy and my first car was a 1949 Dodge coupe.
Sometimes our kids get confused. Shortly after I was married I did buy a worn out 1931 Model A coupe. It started to be red when I sold it. For 60+ years my wife and I dreamed of another red Model A. In memory of my wife I finally bought the car she dreamed of, a red 1931 deluxe phaeton.
Maybe I'll get to drive one of my grandkids in it for their wedding.

Ah That was fun! My 31 Fordor has been in the UK for 22 years and has always been used as a Wedding car first in Scotland and the past 10 years in Wales. Now it's with me in England. I will have a go at the occasional wedding with it too in the summer. Over here we have a white ribbon from the top edges of the windshield around the Motometer and back, and white bows on all the door handles. We pick up the Bride from her home to the Venue, wait for the happy couple to come out and then drive them both off to the Wedding Reception party. Job done! 4 hours work and charge about £250 British Pounds (about $300.)

I can smell your skin and tell you what you have had to eat, if you have cancer, and others. Over sensitivity of touch means that clothing drives me absolutely nuts! I can't stand it on me for too long. They knew that and were very kind to suggest I wear what I had on.

This is much what my fiance and I have planned as well. Though since it will be my own vehicle, I will have a trusted other doing the management the day of.
Once I find an appropriate car anyway, heh.

Shame about the truck but look at the positives at least he wasn't in an old ratty death trap when it happened and like you said he learnt a lesson with I assume a brused ego and minus a truck.

OK Paul. The boomer references are getting tired. The internet lists a baby boomer from 1946 to 1964. I am going to guess you are very close to joining the Gen X crowd, like myself who also watch your channel. FYI I have also never heard ANYONE use "OK Boomer" when addressing anyone from that era.
