This song didn´t compete for eurovision. It was an interval act in UMK . Afterwords it became quite popular though.

This was made just for funny and ironic version, never could this kind of music from Finnish😂
If this was actually competing, I think it would have had a decent chance to win. 🤔 It was supposed to be the "joke entry" of UMK, a funny parody-like interval act. But it ended up being really good! 😅 A bit cringy, sure, but as if our actual representative wasn't, in all good ways though 😁
It's like mix of 70's Eruption One way ticket(chorus) and Austria ESC 2016 (background), more like 'old' schlager revamp.
This was a pastiche and an intentional dig at several songs, and Eurovision songs in general. And considering how incredibly well it was received, people fell for it hook, line, and sinker! Especially since even you said it yourself, how this had a 80's-90's Eurovision ring and feel to it.
I would've voted for this one if it was an actual contestant. Definately better than any of the real choises we had.
