Kim, I was close to tears hearing you speak about how different this birth was compared to your first son's. I am so glad to hear it was a positive experience and of how God blessed you throughout! I'm halfway through my first pregnancy and watching this video gave me peace that no matter how my labor and delivery goes, it will be okay!

I still remember the first time I was able to shower and wash my hair like a normal person! I had called my mom crying. She came 50 miles to watch my baby while I took care of ME. It was awesome. But in that video you gave God glory for helping you through and that just meant a lot to me. Because postpartum is hard. But God can help you through. So happy to hear that this birth went well. Thanks for sharing Kim. I understand your hesitancy with the birth stories. I have had to have c-sections with all of my babies. And it has been hard for me to accept that. But yet I am so thankful for my healthy babies. I love to hear natural birth stories because I never got to experience that. And I didn’t even notice you eating, I was eating lunch too. I hope you enjoyed the Dr Pepper, sometimes mama needs the caffeine boost. And it’s OKAY! 😂 we had our first 2 babies 18 months apart. And I know how hard it is. Hard doesn’t mean bad. It’s so much fun with 2 babies. And they will be the best of friends as they grow older. All the best, and give yourself grace ❤

My daughter in law drinks DP also, so no fussing from here!! I'm a ginger ale girl and COFFEE is my other vice.. Can't wait to here what comes next!

I have to comment because I just had a redemptive birth with my 6th baby, 5.5 months ago. My first 5 births were just insane, I'll spare you all the details but I hemorrhaged for 3 of the 5, one baby got stuck (shoulder dystocia) 3 intense, crazy fast inductions, and the list goes on and on. From all that came ALOT of birth trauma. When I found out that I was pregnant with number 6, I prayed hard for God to make this birth beautiful and totally His doing that would redeem all the "wrong" that happened in the other births. What did I get? A 57 minute labor with an unassisted birth in the car! It was the most beautiful, peaceful, life giving experience I've ever had, and no, I'm not kidding. I could literally feel God's presence with me. There's so many things I could share with you about it that show the Glory of God but it would be a novel here! I'll end my story time with this, we pulled over on the side of the road at a rural cross street, Alpha Ave and we named him Micah, which means "who is like God". God is so good! All this to say that I'm thrilled you had a redemptive birth experience. It really shapes your world so much more when you have those encounters with the Lord that are so profoundly Him. And birth is one of those things where you encounter the Lord regardless of how it happens or even what happens by the very nature of the life giving sacrifice that is birth. But there is something that is so powerful with a redemptive birth and I think you'll be unpacking it for a while!
Your birth video made me tear up…I have two girls myself (3 & 9 months) I went to school to be a doula and was one for my sister in law with her 4 kids and my little sister who had her first daughter a month ago 😢❤ way to go Kim you’re doing great and I loved that verse it’s always a great reminder for me

With my first I actually ended up with a c- section after being in labor off and on for several days.I have had two successful vaginal delivery’s since!😊 Our oldest two were 12 months apart with the third one born 22 months after the second baby.😂 So I feel ya on the busy part! They are now ages 4👧🏼, 3👦🏻, and 1 year👶🏻. And it doesn’t bother me if you film and eat☺️

Drink dr pepper... and eat while you chat. With 2 littles its hard to sit at all. I love watching . Ignore the negativity🙂
