We also used one of my favorite rods the B’n’M Lelands TCB rod. It has become my go to rod for casting and pitching to fish using the Garmin Livescope. It’s a fantastic rod to catch big fish on line as light as 2lb test.
Corey is the best freshwater guide I have ever used. He will not stop until you catch fish. Horrible weather on a trip back in early March 2021, flooding rains, muddy water, etc....(only God himself can control the weather). I thought the trip would be a bust. He scouted a few days before we got there and found the fish in an area of the lake that was not common, we did very well and Cory would not stop fishing until we said “let’s go”. He was ready to go until dark. I came back a month later and he put me on my largest Crappie (2 lb.) and we caught a live well full of the largest crappie I have ever seen. Book Corey if your looking for a guide that is dedicated, determined, and honest. I promise, he will not disappoint.
I do speak with experience using Livescope as I have a couple of Acquaintances that’s recently got into fishing and purchased LS. They invite me go with them mainly to show them where to fish.I’ve taken them to others lakes ,not DH and used LS or as you say forward facing tech, which I found was absolutely no fun watching a video screen hooking fish. Not much to it hooking a crappie. Much more exciting watching my line in anticipation to see it tick. Much more spiritual. I do understand that many folks that fish don’t have the God given ability to fish and need all the help they can get to catch um a mess of fish but to post that on FB, and making videos pretending that their some kind of great crappie fisherman is a little nauseating. I get it with you, your all about the money end, promoting plastics , factory rods. LS ect but while your trying to gain wealth, your products (LS)will have long term effects on great fisheries. My sons and grandsons will be forced to give up their knowledge and have to replace it with your costly gadgets again that’s Nauseating. I cuctome build my rods and crappie flies( 40 years into it)and have crappie fished most of the southern US lakes using 3 colors, really not much skill in picking out colors. The skill is location, position and depth which comes with knowledge. Thank you for having to respect on answering my comment and forgive me for any disrespect.

Also, I can tell from your posts that you have never met Corey Thomas. A community fixture who does more volunteer work and promotion for the Dale Hollow fishing community than anyone else I have ever heard of. Let's agree to disagree and keep it positive. If not, there are plenty of other crappie videos for you to watch. If you notice on our videos, we have a mission statement. That video, as I believe, all of our videos, falls perfectly in that statement. We are NOT out to destroy Dale Hollow. We love Dale Hollow just as much as you do. We would just like to share it with others as oppose to having such a selfish outlook. Also, keep in mind that Crappie reproduce in such numbers, that there is no technology that exists now that would ever dampen the numbers for your sons or grandsons - who probably will have some NEW form of technology in the future that helps them catch fish.
