- NEW CFA STORE creekfishingadventures.store/ Went out fishing with Tyler from ReidAngling. We went out on Dale Hollow Lake targeting smallmouth bass. This was my third time fishing on the lake. Not only did I catch a few big smallmouth bass but also couple huge crappie And some nice spotted bass. I tried using several different lures but caught most fish on the Nikko hellgrammite and small swim baits. Are used a new Z man 3 inch swim bait and was happy with how it performed and how durable it was. All but one fish that I caught were on medium light action rods, with 10 pound braid And 8 pound flouro carbon leader

My son & I were fishing the Rock post spawn.
We ran across a huge school of, Whites stuffed with Shad.
2 & 1/2 easy on a, chrome Rattle Trap.
Then my son tied on a 1 oz War Eagle spinnerbait
rite into the school. It was all it took. Big, big Spots under the Whites.
His biggest was 4.75. It was just one of those moments.

We use to go down to Dale Hollow when I was younger. Grandparents always stayed at Cedar Hill or Horse Creek. Started back in the 60’s up til the 2000’s. I remember stories and actually met Bill Barlow as a kid. He was a local legend I believe. Miss that place.

Dale Hollow Lake is great! Years ago we did a week long houseboat vaca there. Was sweet to step out of bed and be fishing. The fish in that watershed are a blast to catch. Keep up the great work!

Dale Hollow is like nothing else in Kentucky. We fished at the end of June, and I only caught around 15, maybe 20 bass, but all but two of those fish were over 2lbs. I caught at least 4 fish over 3lbs. For Kentucky, that’s a good trip! I also caught one of those old, beat up smallmouth as my PB of the trip.

My old lake. I fished Dale Hollow every week for like 12 years... Beautiful lake. Most of the trips were out of what used to be Widsoms Dock. Don't know if that's still there. Boy Scout Island, lots of different areas down there. You really do well with that Hellgramite. I've got a smaller one but haven't been able to use it yet. Can't believe it works on Dale Hollow that well. Nice.

I love Dale Hollow man. Dont get to go out there enough. Last trip I made with my grandaddy before he passed! Some good fishing there. So clean too. Center hill is a close second for bass fishing.
Dale Hollow is supposed to be one best Smallmouth Bass lakes in America.You are blessed to be able to fish there.

Absolutely awesome content. I live in Campbell County and fish mostly Norris Lake, Cove Lake State Park, and occasionally Chicamauga. Bought some hellgramites to try around here just because you swear by them. Keep it up!

Love your videos. I have been fishing since I was around 5 and grew up with 4 brothers who took me fishing A lot. I have learned a lot from you. At the age of 62 in.still out there fishing. Love your verses of scripture and overjoyed your a believer and follower of Yeshua. I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 24 on 12-26-1983. I'm still walking down that narrow road approaching the age of 62 in Sept. Keep up the good work brother and fight the good fight to the end. I feel deep in my heart Jesus is returning soon.
