Sam Richardson And Tim Robinson Discuss Their Show, "Detroiters"

- "Detroiters" follows Sam and co-creator Tim Robinson (both Detroit natives) as ad men making local commercials - the clueless version of Mad Men, if you will. They lack the resources that big corporations have, but they make up for it in ambition. Come check out BUILD to hear what it's like creating a show with Jason Sudeikis as an executive producer. Interview at 692 Broadway in NYC for BUILD Series.
BUILD is a live interview series like no other-a chance for fans to sit inches away from some of today’s biggest names in entertainment, tech, fashion and business as they share the stories behind their projects and passions. Every conversation yields insights, inspiration and plenty of surprises as moderators and audience members ask questions. It all happens several times a day live and live-streamed on BUILDseries.com.

These 2 have one of the best comedic chemistry combos only rivaled by key&p Martin and short. This is such a beautiful amazing show. Its genius.
I loved this show. Watching it on paramount plus these days. Can't believe something this funny was cancelled. Should have gone on a few years at least.
Sam and Tim were too smart for this interview. How was no one laughing at them
Bring Detroiters back! Please!
Sam Richardson is that hilarious guy that you keep asking "How have I never seen him in anything before?"
I think he's in veep and detroiters.
@@FloatingWeeds2and The Afterparty on Apple
I mean, look at it like this, I’m sure this guy has done his research but is asking questions to get these guys to talk and answer questions people don’t wanna research for themselves because, honestly, it’s more entertaining listening to these guys talk about their pasts than it is to read about it yourselves
Tim Robinson got some style bruh
Interviewer did come off a little douchy at first but he basically asked every question I had going in and I think it was just an innocently awkward moment to kick it off. As a fellow awkward person, I can relate to that.
Interviewer definitely lost me & pissed me off when he made the comment about Detroit basically defined as, in other words, means "poor people".
Thankfully he did ask most of the questions I was wanting to know.
Jeez I thought Sam moved to Veep after Detroiters. These guys are amazing
These two are students of improv, they’re not thrown off at all by anything, period. Tim has done this show twice now so he clearly was not offended at all by anything. You commenters cannot read anyone.
I still think about Mr. Alan's commercials every now and then.
One of the funniest shows i've ever seen. The fact that it was cancelled was insane!
Love this show
I love you Sam.
Same.
I’ve seen 4 interviews for this and I still don’t know where to find it. That’s good advertising right there
Amazon prime video
This is the Portlandia of Detroit shows
Interviewer's first time interviewing anyone ever in his life, I HOPE
Unfortunately not, this is his full time gig. I’ve seen a bunch of these from him and he’s equally as weird in all of them
it should have been his first and last
Haha.. That chick with the first question was pretty quick on her feet with transitioning to a new question! Must be improv student! :p
A lot of people are naturally good at improvising
The Burn Rubber tee!
MOTOWN
I love sam they need to put him with Kevin heart
Omg why do I think Tim is hot!?
@@towedarray7217 your analytical tone in all of your comments scare the hell out of me.
@@averytrashmouth yeah.. it's strange isn't it.
Like she... or he. Is completely blown away by their own interest, like discovering their character.
That’s your own problem
He's the only person I've ever had their face stuck in my head, like a song. That said I don't find him classicly or any type of handsome. Hilarious nonetheless
I had the impression this interviewer pissed them off right from the beginning. His stereotype twin shitty jokes of ‘blah blah dystopian apocalypse’ and ‘poor people’ did not appear to impress Tim or Sam.They seemed to not really want to contribute much after those exchanges. Tim strikes me as a humble funny guy but I didn’t think he enjoyed being asked if he’s was still on SNL (as if this interviewer didn’t know). These two are professionals so they played along with the host but the damage was done. They didn’t seem comfortable with this guy, or in this interview after those two dipshit questions. They both are proud Detroit-area people and this guy kicks off the interview by virtually SCREAMING that he hasn’t seen the show and doesn’t understand the premise of the show Detroit or has ever heard what ‘pride’ is.
I bet he doesn’t even have a single D2Roit shirt.
This comment reads like you think the host didn't start the interview with saying that the stereotypes of Detroit =apocalypse/poor people is something the show DOESN'T do.
Konstantin Eckl he started the interview in the worst way possible. Perhaps he was trying to be provocative. It was a “faceplant” as a host trying to be interested and getting the conversation started. This guy failed to connect by being a dickhole from the jump.
@@Strauss- those references were on the tip of his tongue.
This interviewer is terrible, has two of the funniest people ever next to him and asks the absolute worst non-funny question.
Funny guys but the interviewer needs a new job
The interviewer is so ignorant of Detroit
Not really. He knows it's 1: NOT a post apocalyptic wasteland & 2: isn't JUST full of poor people.
Under... F@cking.. Rated.
Detroit doesn’t feel like Detroit anymore. JUST SAY IT. And people ABSOLUTELY got displaced. Tf? Such political answers
Sam Richardson speaking: "Ip...upp...uhh..and...because..ip..."
Hands down the worst interviewer I’ve ever seen, but I’ll watch every minute of footage that exists of Tim and Sam. Love them.
Have u ever seen a host alienate his guests and most of the entire country with the first thing out of his mouth. Oh my lord I’m tired of this guy
How do u not research at all for a 25 min interview?
Did we watch the same thing
@@ChristianGiuseppe ya I mean I don’t reaaaally know what I was going for there but I think it was basically like this dude thinks of Detroit and all he can think of is decay and poverty and he equates that to the apocalypse. Either that or his only frame of reference for Detroit is Robo-Cop. Also I mean he literally is like “u don’t usually think of Detroit and advertising” and Tim is like well actually Detroit is famous for it.
Shoutout to the guy who laughed at Tim’s Sting joke.
Born and raised in Detroit, one minute into this and I hate this interviewer based on his view on Detroit, still doesn’t get it
I don’t think you were actually listening to what he was saying. Watch the video again buddy
The interviewer wasn’t that bad man
The Fact that Tim went to Clarkston, and Sam went to U of D Jesuit barely making them from Detroit.
That's why I always say "Detroit area", otherwise you look like a poser Eminem wannabe d-bag.
Does your school determine where you’re from?
Dumb argument
@@epicgamer2670no but where you’re from determines your school. You know that.
@@ericatalk4441 you know you can move, right?
