    I love that the 4 outlanders are all hybrids despite the fact pirate is the only true hybrid and the other 3 fit into heavy, vanguard, and assassin pretty perfectly.

    This rework is genuinely a pretty solid pitch as to changing up Ocelotl to make him a lil more unique

    It was honestly baffling that he didn’t have any bleed in his kit when we first saw him the weapons he’s using is quite literally perfect for bleed and especially him being an Aztec warrior not having a sacrifice exe/feat is also upsetting

      It's ubisoft, mate. When we heard we were getting a Pirate hero, we expected some Pirates of the Carribean stuff. Some really cool, well coreographed swordplay. Instead we got a funny dodge cancel 50/50 spammer, whose animations all look like she's going to fall over after throwing them

    Give him a heart taking executions, bleed and assassin deflect. You got yourself a more accurate Aztec hunter, also he's feat should be changed, for example he's death whistle should be a feat where it lower enemy defense and speed, also it can be heard through out the map but don't worry it its just a cool sound idea, plus in ghost form he can use the whistle as much as he can without giving hero debuff, a way to scare players if he's here or not, after all Ocelotl should be a scary hero and it would be fun to scare or trolling people.

    An idea I had for Ocelotl was to make his Prowler Stance use the same input as you would for HL's Offensive Stance or Shaolin's Qui Stance. Considering being in Prowler makes you walk faster, I thought it'd be neat if it could make you dodge longer like Raider or have faster dodges (his back dodge specifically would be buffed with much more distance).
    Also, I thought it'd be cool to give him 2 different Deflects. Normal Deflect would use light input to stab with spear and bleed, whereas Prowler Deflect would use bash input to do as shown here 3:24 in the video and would have more bleed.

    I think he should also steal stamina on successful attacks when the target is bleeding. It would add a bit more uniqueness and usefulness to his kit

    I would make the hunters stance be the ONLY stance that temporarily gives you the stealth feat while in the stance seeing it’s literally him sneaking around, it would also be balance by him not having any guard.
    Even though I despise the stealth feat on certain heros I believe it should be linked to certain moves and stances rather as a feat as a and the one move that looks like it needs the feat is the one it should have it

      He already doesn't have any guard in that stance as is. It's damn near pointless cause it just makes him move a little faster and gives him an unfeintable jump attack

    Still have no idea why the back step heavy move isn't a part of the kit flow? It's supposed to be like medjay staff bash(just shittier), but at least it you can into during a mix up.

    Something I thought he'd be with when I first saw the trailer that he would be a support character. I thought it would be unique if he had all 4 of his feats at once unlocked automatically but the catch is he needs to execute in order to power up his abilities so at base level they be the weakest and get better with each kill/ execution. It may sound like a lot but it makes sense when you considerthat even though it's an extra thing you have to manage in the game, the reward would be much higher and it requires thinking and knowledge to know when and where to use your abilities to what effect instead of randomly throwing it out in a fight on the off chance it'll win the fight. I like this idea because it really incentivizes the Player to be more engaged in the fight. Obviously this idea would only work if all of his feats were based upon support like revive someone from afar or even if they were executed. Maybe bring back all players to life even if the team is breaking but you get seriously debuffed in the process, a give and take. Also, he needs to be able to dodge out of hunter stance. But make it fun. He has two unique weapons in each hand, have the left dodge attack and right dodge attack be different with different animations and properties and maybe even different inputs. Give the players some choices depending of the situation. Maybe the spear would add little bleed damage but would continue chain offensive and the club would do great bleed damage and maybe pin as well, but can't be followed up by anything and is at frame disadvantage. He's supposed to be a ganker so it makes sense that the heavy would work best when ganking someone. The light would be best for evading in 1v1. Have opponents be revealed in a small-ish are in hunter stance. Good for survivability. And give him a death whistle emote in the stance. I saw this in a video saying the sound from the emote would only be heard by you and the opponent you're currently locked on to. You're already invisible on the radar in the stance and this mechanic would mess with the opponent because he can't see the Ocelotl, but he knows he's there and he knows he on you. Man, there really is a lot ubisoft could do with him.

    so all this, only the current abilities added to prowler and the ability to dodge out of prowlers would be fun. almost gives him nobushi style dodges which r cool.

    Considering the obsidian in the weapon traditionally he should have bleed. He should have a feat where if he lands an onblockable heavy, obsidian chips into the enemy and the more they move, the more damage it does over time. He should have Poison feats aswell. Poison dart and since they would rub poo on their weapons as Poison damage irl. His unblockable chain heavy should as dig in and then rip it out. I love your ideas aswell. Deflect would be perfect for him.

    I think its pretty well rounded, minus the bleed being on all his attacks. I think the obvious choice would be to proc bleed on his finisher bash or on his hunter stance heavy (and/or through this new deflect) which could open up his new more offensive moveset, changing properties as you mentioned. I do think he should get access to properties like hyper armor and undodgeables if the opponent is bleeding, since I wasn't really a fan of his "insert hyperarmor attack to make viable" zone. Finally, I think the bleed on all base attacks would be overtuning the character. He just needs interesting ways to access the stronger parts of his kit.

    Idk about the first change, the bash is part of his kit to maintain the preassure, unable to chain on whiff would kill his "fluidity", maybe a reduction of their damage would be better nerf IMO
    bleed on lights?? should be only on heavy and zone attacks (the club is the serrated weapon after all)
    the rest would be good changes... and the pretty useless prowl stance should receive new movesets, as an offensive stance like HL

    these are all amazing changes, especially hunter stance i was so disappointed with it as it only serves the gimmick of possibly getting a sneaky hit when hiding somewhere. i think having the heavy be a better chase for when someone tries to get away from hunter stance, and the light being a quick attack to counter attack anyone who tries to pressure your stance would be amazing. i was so excited when they announced an aztec hero, even if my family is mostly traces of Nahuatl, Naayeri, and Huichol tribes, it would’ve still tied to my heritage in a way

    I do like the idea of buffin his hunter's stance ... that sht is useless save for MAYBE dodging and MAYBE punishing an enemy whiff ... on a blue moon ... depending on the mood of the sun, given the speed of smell ... the chances are still "likely not gonna use 99% of the time"

    They really fumbled this hero.
    What should have been the case, is that Prowler stance is a really strong stance, with a big backward dodge, access midchain, with fast, powerful attacks from the stance, but Prowler is only accessible against a bleeding opponent. To get this, all heavies, zones, and the finisher bash apply bleed damage as you said.

    I think you should be able to dodge out of the back step heavy. Use it to dodge an attack and then perform a dodge forward light. Also, why isn't an assassin!? Slander is deffintly right with hybrid not being the right flass

    I feel like most of these changes are rather needless for Ocelotl. His kit is pretty damn good and balanced, in my opinion. His damage numbers are tame, and his attacks are effective without being oppressive. If I remember correctly, his heavy finishers are 29 or 28 damage as 800ms heavy finishers. These are his heaviest hitting attacks and seem to line up with the newer damage numbers that UBI is pushing out. I think a CCU2 is needed to bring alevery character down to these levels. You can see that UBI wants to bring damage down further. So any damage buffs you recommend will end up making him too powerful for the direction that UBI is going in. As for the bleed, I think it isn't needed at all. I'd like to see some in hit hit for sure. I think the finishers and the pounce from hidden stance should apply bleed. So that way he can apply it somewhat easily without being able to spam it out constantly. Since we have quite a few heros that can apply bleed very easily and have very strong ganks with Nobu and Shaman. As for the chain bash nerf, he doesn't need it man. Most characters in the game can to a dodge attack and be safe if he chains into a combo zone. Characters like Shaman can block it, since her recovery on hit is quick. Orochi, and others, can deflect and dodge attack it. Raider, and others, can trade with the Ocelotl I'd they choose to do so. Any other character that can't do any of these would rather be outdated, since UBI seems to be promoting the ability to dodge attack and then block the followup hyper armour attack, or just trade/recovery cancel it. Point being that most characters are fine and can punish him while being safe themselves. Since the combo zone is a 22dmg 900ms attack. So it isn't spooky as Gryphon's 30dmg nuke of a side finisher.

    Honestly Ocelotl doing absolutely 0 bleed dmg in any of his base kit and only in his t4 is outrageous. He literally wields weapons made for bleeding, it's absurd.
    Also that would be cool to have him access undodgeables when the opponent's bleeding, that would give him his own unique bleed property as opposed to Shaman's healing, Nobu's extra dmg and PK's unblockables + enhanced lights.

    Ngl i don't like ocelotl as a character but i believe it would kinds make him more suferable to play against. Especially the bash nerfs since i play a lot of Warden and so far ocelotl just hard counter Warden with his bash

    Until they increase the revenge that bashes and lights do and when they make bleed eat through revenge shield instead of waiting for the revenge shield go away, I hope they don’t do something like this because I’d literally hang myself

      @@el_slender his chain and finisher bash deal 32 damage while his heavy deals 25 damage, the bashes are fast while the heavies are slow making the bashes a more viable option which makes 70% of his moves useless, they should make his finisher bash a deflect and remove the damage from his chain bash like this guy can deal 16 damage from his chain and deal 25 damage if he gb you

    He should have his forward speed increased a lot if focused on an enemy in prowler, faster or equal to his sprint speed. I also think the finisher bash should deal it’s normal damage but “cash out” the opponents bleed in bonus damage then cleanse them.

    I do not agree with the bleed part. I know his weapon is that one that most makes sense to uave bleed, but in this case i think mechanics are more important and having bleed would not make him unique, it would make him similar to 4 other characters that have bleed. For example giving him bleed that unlocks moves from his stance… that’s just shaman or pk again, giving him bleed and damage buff. That’s nobushi again. See my meaning?
    For the rest of stuff I’m with you. Not a fan of deflects. I’d never use them unless they are way good like shinobi’s but yeah i guess it could work.
    And most importantly he needs an execution where he rips an enemy’s heart out. Shaman already has a similar one so it wouldn’t be out of the question and that one of the things people know the aztec the most for.

    I doubt Ubi will actually give him new moves to the hunter stance so at this point I really hope they'll just remove it entirely. I've died, or at least been hit, more times because I accidently entered hunter stance than I care to admit. You barely get any potent utility out of it. At this point just make it a front heavy dodge and delete the stance element. If you really want to reserve some the original identity make him be able to enter it from a back dodge like Orochi or Shaman. No need for it to be an annoyying ass stance you accidently use.

    You lost me at increasing his bash's damage. The only bashes in the game prepacked with damage are Shugoku and Medjay's grab. These are also glacier slow attacks with no guaranteed follow ups. Ocelotl having an improved bash still gives him, what, *_about 44 fucking damage from light, bash, light????_*
    No hero in the game should be able to light, bash, light and have damage nearing dual heavies. The biggest, most necessary change on this character is to outright remove the damage his chain bash deals unless feat is involved, because its very fast and he can mixup from it. The bash's job is to guarantee damage from followup attacks, not to do damage on its own, because it's not a slow risky move. I hate, HATE that he gets overwhelming damage in no time like this, it's the worst part of the character. Change his bash so that you also can't follow up afterwards like you said and he'll be golden. Everything else is supplementary.
    I'm salty enough about this character that I can barely stomach the idea of him having buffs. He's just a classic case of a character being made utterly ridiculous to sell, only to then hopefully be nerfed near into the ground once he has sold a quota.

    Sorry but the bleed thing isn't good, bleed is already super annoying and another character that can spam bleed will make me hate this game even more, make all inchain heavies do 5 bleed and 20 damage, make that all finisher heavies deal 10bleed and 22 normal damage, his finisher bash should deal 15 bleed and 10 normal damage(he legit cuts your throat) keep the undodgeability on prowler when enemy bleeds, make the prowler heavy have a 400ms indicator make it do 18 dmg and 6 bleed, but keep the move as slow as right now. Make his inchain zone deal 8 bleed and 16 damage... it would even add a tad bit of realism because the macuahuitl is meant to tear open flesh and make deep wounds, all moves i changed are done with the macuahuitl
    Keep the rest of your ideas except the 15% bleed on every attack and boom, we got us a cool not as annoying hero centered around bleed but not being able to make your entire hp bar red.

      Good idea. Those 400 ms lights shouldnt make you bleed, he has another weapon for that. But only make the finisher bash have bleed, the mid chain and starter is judt a *bonk*

      So you want him to not use his weapons at all then? Because they can still give him some bleed attacks and just not make all his attacks deal bleed damage and it'd work perfectly fine while making everyone happy, since you can't have a hero literally use weapons based around dealing bleeding cuts and then just NOT having that happen at all.
