I think a "kill on look" mechanic would work better on him. If any hero enters the LB's line of sight, they immediately die. This would bring him more in line with S tier characters like PK and Nobushi.
I was hesitant about what you were suggesting at first but I didn't know kyoshin and bp could do something like that so yeah why not. Maybe make it reactable and feintable at the same time with hyperarmor so the follow up light doesn't interrupt it and makes him go into offense essentially stealing the offense from his opponent.
Giving it hyper armor would remove the entire point and it would just be the original shove on block. I believe the idea is that you CAN hit him out of it if you follow up with a light or a fast attack. It’s a read. If the Lawbringer thinks you’re done attacking or gonna go into something slow, he can go into a high pressure mixup. If he guesses wrong, he gets hit for it.
@@SnekGaming25 Fair point, I retract the hyperarmor. But unless kyoshins and bps unblockables are guaranteed with block then I feel hessitant giving him a guaranteed anything on block. Maybe make it just a reactable 600ms shove that can be feinted then.

I actually think they should also bring back the variability of the bash, and what punish you do, obviously tweaked some, but make the bringer choose after bashing, make the receiver make a read. Instead of a boring light, that would be another interesting mechanic
i feel like it wouldnt be as complained about as his old one since it wouldnt be guaranteed, but i think blocking an attack giving you a free 50/50 is too strong that was the entire point of why it was removed in the first place, it promoted a way too defensive playstyle on an already extremely defensive hero. thats the reason blocking no longer drains stamina too because it rewarded you for doing nothing. idk maybe it would be okay but i see a turtle meta with that if they were to add it
I was creting in my head a samurai faction character with upon a light attack Block He could throw a Quick counter slash that dealt dmg (of course, low dmg like 10) and after that He would be able to do a bash wich would only deal stamina dmg and ended the string/chain
Old Jorm basically had a form of bash on block mixup. If your unenhanced light attack was blocked by old Jorm, and you went to light again, it would be a confirmed neutral bash for him.
I personally agree with some alterations. They changed pirates follow-up bash so that it couldnt interrupt a hyperarmored attack bc it was annoyimg to fight against. I imagine itd be the same with the shove in block. Say you block a raiders first heavy and do the shove, itd then interrupt the follow up heavy rendering half raiders(and some other heroes) ineffective against LB. If they made it slow enough to at least trade with heavies i think that would be fine. But the shove on block would be situational. WHICH I THINK ANY SPECIAL MOVE SHOULD BE.
A bash off of a block is WAY stronger than what kyo and bp are doing. I agree that for some reason a good lb kit is beyond the grasp of the devs. But this is not the answer. Hyper armor and a feintable bash is probably a much more simple direction.😊

Oh, I know one old FH mechanic. It was all about the devs caring about the game and no turning it into an almost complete shitshow by releasing the same brand old character for 3 years straight.
This shove on block would counter infinite heavy combos such as aramusha and hitokiri, but would be vulnerable to light followup attacks and interrupted light attacks due to the timing and speed of the bash. It would also mean nothing to characters that can dodge cancel, or black prior that can go straight to bulwark counter after throwing an uninterrupted non-bash attack. Useful, not broken, balanced. Can even have hyper armor for all I care and guarantee a light.
I don't know if you're being serious or not, but just in case you're not: you forgot the main point that the other heroes like BP, Conq, and Kyoshin need to go to full block before capable of dishing damage after blocking, thus making them vulnerable against GB. Smart opponent can adapt and GB after seeing their attack gets blocked. This wouldn't be the case with Lawbringer. I guess you can make the case that instead of it being vulnerable against GB it's vulnerable aginst light (due to it not being armored), but let's imagine a scenario. Let's say I'm fighting a Lawbringer. I throw heavy, he blocked it. Now if I don't want to get bashed on block, I can only make two choices: to follow up with light attack or dodge attack. Forcing me to do either those things puts Lawbringer at a huge advantage because either of those options nets him a light parry. Essentially, Lawbringer forces me to choose between getting light parried or have my combo be shut down, and all he needs to do is block. If Lawbringer reads wrong, he gets light damage, while if the attacker reads wrong, they get heavy damage. Another possible argument is make shove on block slow that it's vulnerable against chain bash. Unfortunately, not all heroes in the game has chain bash, and if Ubisoft give everyone chain bash, that's one more strike against hero identity.
If you inmediatly attack after going into full block, you're very much invulnerable to any gb attempts.
