this movie is based on a true story, it goes so much deeper than this scene and later in the movie you can understand how race does play into all this. the true story is incredible and I would suggest that you see the movie or even look up Denver and Ron in real life how they become friends and make a huge impact.

Had liked the movie. She was impressive. Both men loved her. One as a partner another as a human being. Personally, I dont think one can choose between these two forms of love. Or can even exist without these two kind of love.

Why are you bringing race into the question, the guy just scared a girl, no one mentioned her race, never was it important until you brought it up, it seems you need to watch the movie to understand the characters before making accusations of racism.

I know what you're saying about the little white girl , that part put me off , common and subtle movie theme. But anyways ,it was relatable until she stepped in... when I was at the shelter someone stole my boots and I flipped out. Also children dont belong at a mens homeless shelter. Anyone who's been to one knows this and if this were happening in reality those parents are stupid for bringing them there lol it's not all sunshine and rainbows just because they brought the girl there and the fact that the man sarcastically replied " is that how they say thankyou here " proves his hubris and shouldn't be serving there and he does think hes better. But hey, it's a movie yet people on both sides exist in reality ✌
