    I drove my Vespa 250 GTV from Nashua, NH to West Palm Beach Fl. using I-95 for all 1500 miles. Dec. 22-25 with two nights layover in Buford, S.C.............It performed like a well built Italian lady. Smooth & slippery. Just ordered another one for NH res.

    I think the Vespa is so awesome. I love jet skiing the freedom and the power between your legs (no jokes here) and the scooter seems very practical. I wish you would of mentioned how many MPG and Miles he has on his seeing he goes 80 miles a day commute. What a blast. As soon as I shave my head and don't have to worry about helmet head I might just consider this fun.

    Frank tells me that he gets about 80 mpg on the Vespa. Fun stuff! thanks Gene!

    Yes Frank told me that he gets about 80 mpg - mostly during his commute on a small country road to and from home. It was about $5,500 - $6000 new in 2009. Get ride!

    the new go pro 3 is really sweet. you can get one version that allows you to control and view it's image from your iPhone or Android. For photography I'd suggest a Canon product - the G12 or new G15 have manual features as well as auto - so you can learn as you go - but it's small enough to carry around. it also has a macro setting for close ups. the next step up would be the Canon Rebel - a DSLR that allows for lens changes. Check out @theSnapChick here on youtube -she's a camera expert

    @TheMediaMart Hey Tony, Love your videos and have been watching for a long time, but was just wondering how you get started on UA-cam, and is this your full time job? If so what kinda income do you make from it, if any? Thanks for the great videos and keep up the awesome work! -Aaron

    When I return to NH in a couple months I want to buy a nice camera. Any recommendations? I hear the Go Pro camera's are nice, but no instruction manuals. And my digital camera needs replacement after 12000 pictures. The flash just got tired and stopped one day recently. I don't know what to buy next. I like close up photography and my Kodak sucked for those shots. It was good for anything past two feet. I want the best because it's important to me as I wind down my life........

    Tony, do you know what MPG's does it get, how much was it? I know Vespas are more expensive than all the crappy, dangerously slow Chinese ones being sold nowadays.

    Doing the trip around Christmas was not really bright. But either am I.Would I do it again? Oh yes! It was a learning experience too.Don't try to pass a tractor trailer driver who is messing around and don't travel after sunset.Way too many critters wondering around, especially after midnight down through Virginia and North Carolina.I swear to God, I saw some heading north in the southbound breakdown lane with hats & suitcases.I'm sure I was closing in on hypothermia at 68 mph & 20 degree temps.

    These things are great in large cities', but if you're going to be doing interstate highway driving at 60mph+, simply because of the weight and handling, go for a 650cc or so motorcycle (something like a Ninja 650, GSX650), still only like $7-8k new for a great bike.

    What is that back seat cushion?

  • @pedrof830
    @pedrof830 12 років тому

    I've never ridden one, but I saw one up-close and the quality is obvious, besides the cheap Chinese crap is so slow that you risk your life every time you go out in traffic

    Then you'd have a lot more control over the bike though, but in all reality the people who buy Vespas are not the same people who buy sports bikes.

    I guess that's the price you pay for not getting rear ended riding one of those C.C.C. (cheap Chinese crap) for that I'd rather buy a used, economy car, though.
