This is awesome! They should do this more often in their gigs. Dave behind the drums (Nirvana flashback!), Taylor sings this beautifully & this is such a cool cover version of this song. Rock n' roll!
I love PF since the seventies, I hear to them almost every day, and I find this absolutely amazing. It's a recreation of course but entirely legitimate, with tremendous intensity. Marvelous, wonderful job.
Wow!!!! What a brilliant cover, Taylor brought a Punk/Grunge edginess to the vocals, bass and lead rocked it up and Grohl is an absolute powerhouse on the drum kit. A monster. Outstanding.
Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar You're gonna go far, you're gonna fly You're never gonna die You're gonna make it if you try They're gonna love you Well I've always had a deep respect And I mean that most sincere The band is just fantastic That is really what I think Oh by the way, which one's pink? And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it 'riding the gravy train' We're just knocked out We heard about the sell out You gotta get an album out You owe it to the people We're so happy we can hardly count Everybody else is just green Have you seen the chart? It's a helluva start It could be made into a monster If we all pull together as a team And did we tell you the name of the game, boy We call it 'riding the gravy train'
As if they didnt rock it enough, double the speed, double the grunge and you get double the rock!!! Didnt know the legend can be presented this way and still be amaxing...
Thanks for sharing @Paulo this amazing version, I think it is the best way to remember and honor Taylor is by listening and bringing him into our lives as many times as possible. What a f´king incredible version my gosh!!!! Blessed and respect Taylor Rest in Peace (que en paz descances querido Taylor)
I saw them perform this in Halifax NS...2000. They also performed a fantastic cover of Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs. I'd love to see this cover on film. If I recall they opened with it.
im a huge floyd fan, and i must admit i do like this cover. The audio in this particular video is pretty bad, but the good quality version of the foo fighter's cover is pretty damn good. I always like hearing covers of pink floyd songs.
What a great simple tune to cover in my mind its a river of tissues of my friends independent of excuses for the meaning of the music, made man who has been around and heard it all beforehand some other time? Maybe it was in another life. I think I have said everything you can say about us and them. aah to get to the enjoyment of the sound of the rising sixties psychedelic phenomenon our leaders, generation X now only carry on with as much as possible as I believe was what went down in the sixties? Nothing more nothing less!!! ":)"
Pink Floyd is and always will be my favorite band, but damn i love Foo Fighters!!! Awesome cover of it, Taylor sounds awesome, Nate did a great job on bass, sounds a lot like Roger Waters! and of course Dave Grohl did his own amazing version of Nick Mason's drumming. Wish they did the solo, but thats a Dave Gilmour thing really, no one can quite compete with him... sorry!
@dividedguy You are correct, Have a cigar is the only Pink Floyd track where they let someone else do vocals. Great Gig is actually considered an instrumental because the vocal does not contain lyric. Original Have a Cigar sang by Roy Harper. When Floyd played it live Roger and Dave basically belted it out together. I like the original but it would have been cool to see what it would have sounded like with dave or Roger singing it on the original.
Although a big fun of Floyd, my first LP at the age of 12 bought with my own money from Xmas carrols was "The dark side of the moon" and now in my 50's i have to say that this is a pretty decent cover..
F*** I'm 53 years old I listen to Pink Floyd almost everyday of my life to the point my wife hates the idea of me listening to music I used to think Mann the songs would be interesting to hear at a faster pace I grew up playing the French horn oboe saxophone guitar and piano and only wish I would have stayed with that instead of dirt bikes and sports the artist's creativity I don't care if you're a wrap prints hardrock whatever redoing songs it's still all comes from the soul and it moves one person it's right not wrong
hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahah.... This version is great, fantastic and funny... laughed a lot... Floyd has a kid of enigmatic version... this one is too different... Let your soul go!!!!
Pink Floyd is the actual best music in the world. Ive never seen a cover of it that was bad tbh just great damn music. this is awesome i would love to see this live haha
Taylor was literally half the band. Devastating loss for them, the music industry and the fans. RIP and fly high, Hawk! 💔
Definitely caught the spirit of the lyrics. If people didn't do covers we wouldn't have Hendrix doing "All Along The Watchtower"!
Taylor was such a freakin rockstar. He just oozed charisma. Well miss you forever, Taylor. Rest in Rock. ❤
As a pink floyd fan, this is a fucking great cover! I could not love it more!
Except when Brian May is playing guitar. And then it's fucking *awesome* ua-cam.com/video/THWSLCiRt1A/v-deo.html

You can feel their passion for music…
This is awesome! They should do this more often in their gigs.
Dave behind the drums (Nirvana flashback!), Taylor sings this beautifully & this is such a cool cover version of this song. Rock n' roll!
Hope you have a cigar and enjoy your rest Taylor, you are a true legend. I'm so fucking sad...
I love taylors voice!!
Sexy voice
??? I guess.
A great grunge rendition of a Floyd classic
Incredible the mood Dave still play the fu..ing drrrrrummm! Cool version of a magic underrated song from Roger.
Dave playing drums gives me the impression of watching him playing nirvana again, what a chill!
Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar
You're gonna go far, you're gonna fly
You're never gonna die
You're gonna make it if you try
They're gonna love you
Well I've always had a deep respect
And I mean that most sincere
The band is just fantastic
That is really what I think
Oh by the way, which one's pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy
We call it 'riding the gravy train'
We're just knocked out
We heard about the sell out
You gotta get an album out
You owe it to the people
We're so happy we can hardly count
Everybody else is just green
Have you seen the chart?
It's a helluva start
It could be made into a monster
If we all pull together as a team
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy
We call it 'riding the gravy train'
I love him when he sings and plays the guitar but Dave as a drummer... he's an animal. I LOVE him.
Wow, the energy in this cover is phenomenal. It comes to show that a good composition can transcend any genre.
Cant belive it. RIP LEGEND.
What a great shift to this song mix of Zeppelin & PF my dream come true!
Not sure what your talking about in regards to Zepp…but ok, I guess
As if they didnt rock it enough, double the speed, double the grunge and you get double the rock!!! Didnt know the legend can be presented this way and still be amaxing...
Wow... Just heard this for the first time. Mind blown. Could be best drum ever
this is pure raw fighters! we need more bands like this. and this isnt metal. just pure hard rock.

Love Dave on those drums....He's an animal!!!
I love it, the two are so intimate (Taylor putting earplugs to Dave !) and lazy (Taylor smoking while singing !)
Great video thanks for sharing :-)
Foo Fighters... OMG new synonym for awesome
Wow, never heard this before. Fantastic!
awesome cover, cool take on the song!
As usual, The Foo's pump it up a notch, fine by me. : ) I love the original ( of course ) & this IS a cover. Rock it on out guys!!

Foo fighters doing Pink Floyd number...perfection!
i have gained slight respect for the foo fighter now.
Wretched. No one should ever try to cover Roy Harper's stellar vocal on this song.
@dividedguy

I like how the crowd put their hands in the air when they realize which song it is.
Great version. Up there with their version of down in the park.
Take an idea and add a creative spin. The essence of art. There is only 1 true Creator.
Best Foo tour ever, just short of their Wasting Light set (which was amazing, by the way!)
I'm a Pink Floyd Fan and I like this version. This is more about Dave Grohl's amazing drumming.
Rip Syd Richard and Taylor
Stellar
Pink Floyd is the actual best music in the world. Ive never seen a cover of it that was bad tbh just great damn music. this is awesome i would love to see this live haha
