Yes, you may add a node to a shape by double clicking on it. When the pen tool is activated, use it to click on the shape to add a node to the required spot.

Hi tim Thanks for your explanation I wonder if there is a mirror effect not like the angle mirror you mention in the video but for example if I want to create a trapeze from a cube I select the bottom right corner to move it and the bottom left corner move at the same time and in the same way
This video helped for a UX course assignment where I had to recreate the apple logo. But for the life of my I can't recreate the Airbnb logo. Is there a different tool or method you need for that? I can't get it perfect. Also the line loops over itself which makes things tricky. Any advice?
Figma does have its limitations when it comes to logo creation for sure. while you could for sure recreate Airbnb’s logo, it’ll be a bit harder than in a tool like Adobe illustrator 😩 sorry for not being super helpful here!
Hey Tim. My question would probably be the simplest of the lot but how are you creating the straight line in the first place? I am unable to change the starting point and keep getting stuck there. Like I will start and draw a line and the cursor for the tool is still at the beginning point rather than the point I drew it till. How should I change the focus of the point?
hey, How can you start a curve on your first click and hold?? I keep trying but it never lets me create a curve on the first click, I'm trying to make a heart and I do not get the double lines that need to be there to do it
I made a square with the pen tool but it won't let me select only one corner to make round or adjust the radius. It will only let me apply changes to all four corners. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
I'd love to learn about lineheight in typography how to make pixel perfect using the red square method. just what to do to get the lineheight in line with the capital letter :) I hope you know what I mean. also please top 10 nice dribbble fonts 😁💪

Its not exactly mastering if you dont talk about add points in a shape without creating new lines. Probably the most inconvenient result working with shapes and points.

Noob here, so I don't even see the pen icon in the top. I only see the left most icon - the Figma logo?
They changed the design. Now it is at the bottom with the other tools.
But why the f can't you cut paths!?!
you can cut a path by:
- adding three separate points at the specific place you want to cut
- remove the middle point
