- Chili Mac stands out as a true Military MRE classic! Having heard from numerous guys that Menu #10 was their favorite, I must say I agree; Chili and Macaroni is one of the best US field rations available today. It's a very simple Meal Ready to Eat, but sometimes simplicity is just what you need.

😅I have polished more boots thanni can count to trade for this menu! My favorite. I was Navy, but when I got hurt in Desert Storm, I was transferred Army until I was well enough to go stateside. I also do mre content and gluten free baking. Feel free to have your friends add me too!. I will be posting new content shortly! I lost my partner of 14 years recently, so I have been grieving.
This was one of if not my favorite menu . I wish I had more of these.

The Elbow Macaroni in Tomato Sauce is very good. I believe it is a vegetarian meal. But as a non vegetarian, I would trade for it.
The shade of green to the lemon lime drink reminds me of the melon Powerade.

MREs don't get bad until that's all you have to eat for much of your deployment. Don't forget to flavor it with wind blown dirt and dust.
Chili Mac is one that you could have in the line up for sure !! All it needs is some hot sauce

Agreed! I've haven't been able to get my hands on a lot of foreign rations, but the ones I have tried had excellent frh's. I've tried a few cases of us mre's and I would say about 80% of the time, they don't work. They are so flaky I actually purchased separate frh's online and always throw them in my pack if I'm taking a us mre.. I have several cases of 2021 us mre's that are just out of inspection and 8 or 9 out of ten times the heaters are going to be a dud

I'd put money on it that the older FRHs are from Ameriqual. They have an extra plastic that keeps out moisture.

Have you tried putting salt into the FRH? It can help the oxidization. May help duds come to life.

The real soldiers didnt heat their mre. It would give away your position. You just ate it cold. If you want coffee... u dump the powder in your cold meal. Etc. Youre eating this like a paper pusher who never saw combat. And they had the option of eating real food at the dfac.
