- US MRE Menu #6 Beef Taco from 2015 was one of my very first military ration review videos. To this day, this is still the only Meal Ready to Eat I've come across where there was such a flaw with the bag. The meal itself was satisfactory, though. In terms of review quality, we've come a long way since the early days. Maybe it's about time to do a new taste test of this field ration. After all, everyone loves Taco Night, even if they are Army Tacos.

I agree with you on the sides.WTF??? Menu 2 chicken fajita is perfectly thought out. If you get the MKS beef taco for the Canadian armed forces it comes with black beans as a side and hot sauce. Nice.
Add your salt to a slow or dead FRH.
The first thing I said to myself when you were unpacking that was that it was strange that there was no pack of Taco Sauce or Cheese Spread because that is usually what comes with the taco filling. And, yes, they should have also included a snack bread or crackers if they are also going to include PB&J. Very strange. I would have also expected Spanish rice instead of apple pieces. You would think that they said, "Ok, we're down to the last meal in the case. What's left that we haven't used for the other meals. Oh, taco meat, peanut butter & jelly, tortillas and apples. Well, that will work. Throw all that in and we'll call it good."
Nice video. The MRE looked small compared to some you reviewed, even as single meal. Or is it my imagination?
I'd agree. I think the addition of a 3rd drink deleted a snack item so it ended up with less food than normal even if the calorie count was similar
Why in the world didn't they substitute jalapeno cheese spread for the peanut butter and jelly? Sometimes they make the strangest component choices on these MREs. Also, another gripe is the accessory pack for every meal should include salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and a packet of Tabasco sauce.

Probably because he ate something foul in one of the more recent ones and almost unalived himself. Steve1989 has famously called old cheese spread "cheese spread of death"
