Finally a big channel giving the Pajero Sport the love it deserves! Can vouch for mine, 2018 GLS with 120k kms now, haven't had any issues yet! I'd recommend giving it a go off road (you could use mine if you want ;) ), the superselect mitsubishi gearbox is so impressive off road, paired with a stock rear locker in GLS & Exceed trim levels. Its so light that it sits on top of the surface & flexes decently in stock form. Throw some good tires on it and its pretty damn capable. Thanks again for giving it the respect it deserves!

The transmission is also a surprise. Apparently it's only used in 3 vehicles, the Landcruiser 200 series, Lexus 4x4 which is essentially the Landcruiser and the Pajero Sport. Good to know you've got the Landcruiser transmission in a much cheaper package.

Should do the NX Pajero. Sure they stopped production in 2021, but like the Triton they are an absolute steal second hand. My base model 2021 Pajero came with rear diff lock. I’ve added a 2” lift, a bullbar and winch… surprised quite a few people with how far you can push it off-road.

I can recommend the Pajero Sport. I have a 2016 GLS with the standard rear diff lockers, haven't found anything it couldn't handle yet. I got it for $35k used with 50k KM on the clock in early 2020. My only advice buying used is to check if it's had it's 60k KM service, as that's a big one $ wise with the valve timing. Put the money you save from badge premiums into your camper or setup!

You have included engine tuning in the video but there is no mention on what sort of impact this has on warranty. Considering this is new vehicle comparison and we know manufacturers will use anything to get out of a warranty claim i think it would be good to cover how an engine tune impacts your warranty. Lovely video extremely interesting. I learn a lot of things very well done. Unfortunately we don’t have such a company in this part of the world to do such a professional work. I wish I could have done this for my new coming by New coming Pajero sport. Yet I have learned a lot very well done

The upgraded Prado in 2020 is a 150 K/W 500 Nm engine not a 130 K/w 450 Nm which was the previous engine. 2020 onwards Prado, Hilux and Fortuner all share the exact same engine

Yes, do a test but I would like a section of the test to show what new tyres, bash plates and better suspension would do and cost to each vehicle. Cheers and great channel.

Thanks for the vid. First one I have seen that has the dyno figures for the 300 cruiser. It is marketed as 227 kw , but on the road is only 158 kw.

It's all good to test these stock vehicles. BUT. there's not many of us that leave them stock.
I would love to see a testing segment for modified versions of these vehicles. I believe it would be a huge game changer and a lot more exciting and competitive, levelling the playing field for vehicles that don't normally perform as well off road.

Important missing information on all these cars and the others that were forgotten. Tow ratings are a huge factor to most people buying these new. Cheers anyway lads good info for anyone looking to compare to a Toyota ❤️
