Hi DPReview team, wonder if you have a list of the fastest scan rate cameras. I'm very curious as to which cameras suffer the least rolling shutter for silent shooting such as golf.
Having Gordon test for overheating is like stacking the deck in your favor. He’s English and everyone knows there’s nothing colder than a summer’s day in England.
Thanks for DPreview's great videos! All your videos are 99% perfect! That 1% sucks is the audio level is too low....Every time after watch you guys videos, always forget to turn down the level to match other reviewers' video..... Otherwise, you guys rocks! Great job as always!

I noticed that too, but only with this video. The mic sounded a bit hollower than normal, especially when played on bad speakers. I had to really crank the volume
One question I have is about using the autofocus for animals. Is the autofocus noticeably better for animals than the autofocus on the R5/R6 or is it pretty much the same?
Eye control will be a game changer. I had the EOS 3 and it's eye control system worked really well for me when shooting subjects such as MotoGP and World Superbikes. Calibrating the camera will be easy and fast. it will work for some people and not for others - but if is works for you it's a game changer and I cannot believe Canon has left it this long to reintroduce it. The stacked CMOS sensor is the other game changer for me, with lots of subjects where rolling shutter is an issue. I am excited to get my hands on one.
USB-PD rated chargers.. Usb pd (power delivery) compatible you mean. Then you still need to check which voltage(s) the Canon wants and that your USB-PD charger supports that voltage. Simple phone chargers might be usb-of but can only support 5v for example. Then it will not work if (if! I don't know) the Canon wants 12v or 18v for example. Most 65w laptop chargers over USB-PD will sipport pretty much all voltages so will work with everything (and are affordable these days). It's still not a given though, so always check.
Does using the eye control, or other processor intensive modes, on the camera noticeably slow the continuous shooting rate? On my Fuji XT-3 the auto tracking drops the number of photos in a burst quite a bit.
Hi, Thank you for the video ! Does it overheat in 120fps / 1080p ? Because the R5 overheats in this mode... Thinking of going for the C70 instead of the R3 just because of that so if you can answer me. Thank you :)
Jared Polin addresses that in his recent video and yes, Canon R3 meets it's advertised claims (It may be differ when using third party lens, adapter, or depending on the situation). Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/mxOJoqtSWB8/v-deo.html
Chris, what do you think of the band-aid style texture of the body? You didn't like that on the Pentax K-30 back in the day. Have you evolved your thinking?
4k 60p overheating in a $6000 camera is absurd. I would wonder is that 1 hour of it actively recording, or 1 hour of it being powered on in 4k 60p mode, regardless of recording? Didn't the R5 even overheat if it was just on in certain higher quality modes, even if it wasn't recording? I've invested about $10k in lenses over the years for Canon, but this sort of thing really makes me wonder sometimes about where I should take my money int he future.

It doesn’t really fit their style. Chris is more of a “small form factor mirrorless” user. Cameras like Leicas are what gets him on. Jordan shoots video. He used to be a Panny guy. Prolly still is. The R3 is more of a sports camera that you can use to shoot video, but video isn’t its main focus. It should also appeal to event photographers and journalists. After seeing the monster of a camera size, I’ll stick with my Fuji. The idea of carrying around such a huge camera for street would be very uncomfortable.
That's because Fuji is a tourist camera. R3 is meant not to be carried around casually, but as a tool to work with. It's just meant for different applications. And that body style suits those applications perfectly. Believe me, I shoot 1Dx. Even a regular DSLR body stile (without the battery grip) is worse ergonomics wise.
