- From beginner to advanced, a nightstand always makes a great project. It gives you the chance to try new techniques on a small scale that you can than perfect and use on larger projects down the road.
This nightstand features half-blind dovetails, tapered legs, solid-wood drawer construction, bridle-joints, and a curved top with a classic edge-treatment.

Beautiful work, full of ingenious little techniques and tricks. And great, thorough explanations. Thank you.

Thank you, Abdul! I appreciate you watching.
Very well done!
Appreciate it and thank you for watching!
Had to subscribe. My shop( in the making) is small also but I was amazed of the quality of work you do in a small shop. Great layout.
Thanks for the sub and for the kind words. Best of luck in setting up your shop!

Wonderful. Thanks for watching, the sub, and cheers to S.C.!
great work
Thanks Jaeseo!
Beautifully done! Love the little bits of humor along the way
I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching!
Nice shop... I have about a 250sqft (feels bigger with the 9ft ceiling) shop that I have been slowly building out he workflow and organizing. Some of your solutions have inspired ideas for the voids in areas. Thanks for sharing!
That extra foot of ceiling height sounds great. I have standard ceilings which are fine but 9’ would be killer! Thanks for watching Lewis!
A true heirloom piece. Well presented.
Thank you Scratch! My boy really likes it, too.
Very nice
Thank you!
Beautiful piece.
Many thanks!
Beautiful table, Kevin! Thanks for putting in the work to share your work, I look forward to your videos!
Thank you, Sean. Means a lot coming from you. Thanks buddy!
Using offcuts. Been doing this for 30 years and never considered that... love the captions.
I appreciate you watching and the feedback, thanks!
Beautiful work. Thank you for the great video.
Thank you, David. Much appreciated!
Great video! Instant subscribe.
Are you shop teacher? You should be!
Also like the humour and the love for your kids
You're very kind, Markus! I really appreciate the nice words. Not a shop teacher. Don't think I could handle the stress of being around 20 kids and power tools!
Beautifully made. I love the attention to detail that went into each part.
Keaton, thanks as always my friend.
Looks great. You have some nice tools in your shop. I’m slowly building my inventory.
Thanks for watching. Yep, tool collection has been a slow and steady build up over time. No other way to do it unless you’re swimming in cash!
Nice piece. Wonderful video with a good level of detail.
Thank you kindly, Sean!
Well Kevin, it's nice to see another project from you. Great Job! Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming! Your channel has come further in 6 months than mine did in 2 years! That's nice to see.
I really appreciate the encouragement, Gary. Thanks so much!
Do you have plans for this build? I’ve been searching for a nightstand I like for weeks and really like yours. Thanks.
Hi Cristian. I appreciate you watching but unfortunately don’t have plans available. Sorry.
Another great build Kevin.
Simple yet elegant and balanced design.

Thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated.
Enjoyed your video. Your attention to detail and willingness to modify design as the piece develops is inspiring. First video I’ve seen of yours. I’m now a subscriber.
I really appreciate the nice words and you subscribing. Thank you, Wayne!
Una mesilla muy bonita, gran trabajo, enhorabuena!!
Si la medidas y los cortes han de salir bien cuando grabas, sigue grabando!!!
Nosotros disfrutaremos viendo tus videos.
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Realmente aprecio que me mires!
Very awesome work there! The humor was great as well. If I may ask, did you taper the legs just on the outside and place them at the top? Great video!
Thanks for watching, Gabriel. The legs were tapered on one side only, the side that faces out on the sides of the table. They are tapered all the way from top to bottom, with the skinnier part of the taper at the top. Hope this answers your question. If not, let me know. Thanks again!
Nice video and voice work and photography - Please tell me that you are selling these plans - nice design and execution
Such kind words. Really appreciate you watching, Randal! And no, not selling plans as part of the design is heavily inspired by an existing one…wouldn’t feel right. Again, thank you!
Very nice work! I was curious about doing a coat of finish before the glue up. No concerns that the finish will interfere with the strength of the glue bond?
Thanks Scott! When applying a coat of finish, I’ll be sure to not get finish on any tenons or wherever glue will be making contact so, as you point out, to not interfere with the glue bond. I appreciate you watching!
