For those who are giving you flak for the eagle rare thing (some of which I arguably see very few of), I use E.H. Taylor, eagle rare, weller full proof and 12 year, lil pappy once a while to make a mean cocktail. Could I use an affordable option like wild turkey 101, old granddad, or four roses? Oh for sure, all would make solid drinks without a doubt. But damn if those bourbons don't elevate those cocktails to something wonderful. Drink what you like how you like it. Good day.
@@coltglass1270 that's such a terrible comparison for your argument, because, yes, people do that in dishes where that wine flavor is very forward. In the same way, better tasting bourbon makes a better tasting cocktail. Do whatever you want, but don't be an ass.
I’ve heard Eagle Rare is huuugely overrated, so I enjoy Evan Williams, Bottled in Bond is one of the best bourbons I’ve ever tried and at a killer price point
@@aclevername465 that’s wild and makes sense. My brother lived in the Vacaville area for a while. I remember him telling me he found it all the time for 35 bucks but now when he goes back he doesn’t see it often. Maybe not going to the right stores. lol
10+ years ago eagle rare was far more accessible both in price and availability. It's a solid dram that I wish was more widely experienced. Hell, I'd go as far to say even 5 years ago the bourbon market looked real different.
I am so done with the bourbon and scotch snobbery that says you shouldn’t make cocktails with high end whisk(e)y. Thanks for supporting that!
This is great! Thank you for it.

Waste of good bourbon, do you also cook with expensive wine, just to say it was made with expensive wine?

I tried it with & without the ginger beer, and I like it without
I use Weller 12 and van Winkle 12 for bourbon and sprite.
Yeah i used to make barbecue sauce with eagle rare back before it became trendy
If you don’t have an Eagle Rare than a Weller 12 will also work similar 😁
Different flavor though. Weller is a wheated whiskey.
Looks Delicious 😋🤤👍

from everything I've seen and heard, Evan Williams bonded and Old Grandad Bonded are the 2 greatest bargains in the world of Bourbon
It's overrated if you pay secondary for It. But at msrp it's a solid bottle imo.
I was super disappointed when I finally found a bottle. The Eagle Rare definitely didn't live up to the hype.
EW BiB is great 375ml for only $10
This looks like a date night winner yessir
Yummm
I put eagle rare in my hot chocolate
Cartman. I do what I want
Review Condesa Gin please 🙏
Put the ginger beer in before you strain so it mixes in better.
Eagle Rare is everywhere for $50 around here.
Where?
@esoterictrinitarian1990 Central Coast California. Now it runs around $40 in most places.

I’ll never understand the hate for using rarer bottles in cocktails. Top end spirits yield top end cocktails.
Pappy and coke is the way to go.
Isn't that an original by Eric Castro?
It is indeed. I usually credit the original creator in the description but no one sees those on shorts really.
I’m not going to lie. I got upset when you used Eagle Rare. It’s like $70 a bottle where I am.
Hard to find bottles being used like this = rage bait
Gonna lose so much of that bourbons character like this, it’s just a waste
It's certainly not a waste.
eagle rare I don't believe is allocated by any means
You should tell that to my distributor then lol
Eagle rare as a well bourbon wtf @Lui_Fern that tells me that tells me the bar you worked at is upscale without telling me it is upscale
