Followed your recommendation last year and purchased three of the extend and climb ladders. Extremely satisfied with our decision and have minimal issues with these ladders. Keep it dry to avoid sticking or at least wipe it down when wet!

I have one and am at 260. Ladder rated for 330. But what I like about it is the soft and automatic closing mechanism. You really can't get pinched..so far anyway. Also, it has a horizontal extension bar on the bottom rung to widen its stance. I think it was $103 or there abouts. It seems to close by capturing air and slowly releases it on the way down all in one step..you don't have to click each individual step..just the two on the bottom and then its hands off..the ladder retracts.
I'm not going to carry anything with me climbing so even if the rating is lower than advertised for a 15.5' ladder it seems pretty stable.
My concern is how long will the air pressure hold. It of course does LOCK into position on each step and if it stops being a soft close I can deal with that. I think some silicone grease might make it last longer. Good review.

The only thing I don't like about them is one you get mud on the steps and in the locks it's almost impossible to clean it and have it work properly again. I actually bought one after your last review video with the kettle bells. It's definitely really nice to have but again, a pain to try and keep clean and dry.

    Hi,
What ladder do you recommend from Amazon (in my case Amazon Spain) for non-professional use (just to go to the roof of my house if i need)?
I think i need between 3.2/4mt. I climb up to my garage, and from there to the roof. To the top of garage it's 3mt height, and from there to the roof is probably 3/3.5mt I guess.
    Thanks

So I'm 6'2 and about 300 lb and I use the telesteps. I've been carrying the same ladder for over 3 years with absolutely no problems. But I do want to point out that I purchased the top rated ladder on Amazon which was a Chinese knockoff and used it for only 2 weeks before it actually collapsed under me. I'm thinking about purchasing a new ladder to retire my old one into position of backup ladder since the feet are getting so worn out after all these years. Think I'm going to try one of these.

I keep my extension ladder mounted on my ladder rack & the 300lb contractor Xtend ladder behind my drivers seat for any interior work I may need to do, it’s difficult carrying a full extension ladder through an elaborate high end home, any of these Xtend & climbs though.. anywhere any time no hassle. Are there stability feet available for these units? I don't use a ladder often and mostly indoors for changing smoke detector batteries and air filters. I've been searching for a telescoping ladder but they all seem very flimsy like you mentioned until you step in to the pro range and spend accordingly.

Lol.very true.i usely get by with lightduty painters ladders for almost everything, non electrical related. Then the heavy fiberglass ladder gets used and they like to flex more then id like, thats for sure. but the light duty ladders are plenty strong if used correctly. and not used by a heavy person. or not carrying a bundle of shingles on your shoulder. but if something falls on it or the ladder falls, it will usually be ruined since its not heavy guage aluminum and bends and cracks easy. But i can easily carry it around with one arm

I found many of the reviews are actually meaningless. Did you really tell your audience anything when you say: This US-made $400 ladder that carries $300 lbs is better than the Chinese-made $100 ladders that carries only 250 lbs? The answer is yes and should be. If you want to compare, please compare a US-made $100 ladder with a Chinese-made $100. Our common sense is compare apple with apple. It makes no sense to compare a pineapple to a strawberry while you spend $3 on the pineapple and 3 cents on a strawberry.
