Me: “Oh, I didn’t know that Maven had a vampire book club!” Maven: “You might not know about this because the book club typically lives in the ‘Live’ tab.” Me: “Oh, that explains it. 😅”
When I saw this I screamed "YES! MORE COMFORT VIDEOS!" Your book videos (Both vampire and POTO) are my youtube comfort videos. I have watched all of them multiple times! Especially, in times of stress. They soothe me. My mom has seen me watching your videos, and she says your voice is soothing as well.
The Vampire Gallery was in a max rush of book published around the 100th anniversary of Stoker’s Dracula. The USPS at that time put out stamps and a really cool book about Dracula and other mythological monsters which I still have somewhere, probably where my Propaganda gothic mags are. :) But the 100th anniversary was a big money making time for vampire authors, especially non fiction, so no wonder the back of the book pushes Dracula the book hard, as opposed to Penny Dreadfuls.
Core memory unlocked! I used to own Uninvited in middle school, I remember that cover so distinctly! Though I dont remember the book very much .... lol 😂(also you're so welcome for the Dorian gray!) 😅 I will also say the matching set of little gothic books I sent with the flowers on them - I don't think the publishers have put out Dracula, Frankenstein, or any other gothic titles from what I have seen (I was limited to what we had at the store) just Jane Austen titles and some other regular classics. :/
I like the LCD bat bottle. As for what I'm reading. A Warhammer novel called God King. There are vampires in it, with one serving as the viewpoint for the antagonists, but it's primarily a story of a early iron age kingdoms vs an invading undead horde.
I can't wait to get my copy of Dracula Daily (it comes next week!) I was already pretty pumped, but hearing you gush about it makes it even more magical
YESSS i've read the Carmilla graphic novel and it is SO good!! there's a second volume that's gonna be coming out next year i think! i hope you enjoy it!! 😄
I think you would love Agyar by Steven Brust. It's a non conventional vampire story set in the Midwest. It never uses the word vampire, but you know what's going on. It's on par to Let the Right One In for me
12:53 judge is a hunter creed. And judges are as advertised. They judge innocent and guilty. I read book three because werewolf. Cause duh. Predator and prey werewolf teams up a newly deemed hunter, I believe innocent creed but not sure, with an outcast garou as she starts to detect the wyrm's corruption.
Oh god, I hated "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies". It was all the weeaboo chinoiserie that got me. Besides, English people in the 1700s had perfectly good swords of their own. They would not have gone all gaga over katanas. The book's badly written too. The author just found a good gimmick and rode it to popularity.
Not counting the Interview with the Vampire coverage it's been almost 3 years since there was a Vampire review video posted....I've finally accepted this is just a booktube channel now....
3 years?? Somehow you missed my videos on Winter’s Teeth, Modern Vampires, and John Carpenter’s vampires from last year alone. Not to mention all the others between 3 years ago and now!
@@MavenoftheEventideI really think people aren’t getting notifications. I haven’t gotten many from multiple podcasters/video casters, even though I hit the bell.

I almost never go on creators’ live pages. I will begin to check this tab now!
“Nothing is that bad Louis” *thunk*

Wuthering Bites still sounds like a better love story than Twilight!

"I'm not that old."
I am. That's my birthyear. ^^
I'm even older! :D
Of course there is a Queen of the Damned movie stress heart! You need it while watching the movie!

I love Gothic media in general! I'm working on a sequel to Crimson Peak, the most gorgeous Gothic film ever made!
Oo I'm intrigued! Love that movie but man the ending is gut wrenching.
Ahhhh haven’t even watched the video yet but see Rose Sinister’s novel ❤❤❤❤❤ loved it highly recommend

Warhammer fantasy or age of Sigmar?
@@Demolitiondude Fantasy. Ironically its about Sigmar when he was mortal, the age of Sigmar you might say.
Nice pun.

I love that there’s 25 parts to vampire library 😮

Yours is the coolest vampire book club, obviously. :)
So i read the first Vampire Plauge book back in middle school. First Book is London, Second is Paris and the Third in the trilogy is Mexico
Didn't think I'd hear a TMNT mention in this.🤘COWABUNGA!!!
I started this year by reading "Vampire diaries" and ending it with "let the right one in " literally read 16 Vampire books 📚
Good job 🎉
Carmilla: The First Vampire is so good! Really hope it gets a vampire review or a book club vote some time
I read Jane Slayre and if you do get a copy I would recommend it, there are zombies too ❤
The urge to go buy all the things I see in these videos is strong. I’m reading “ghost stories” narrated by: Stephen fry it’s a collection on audible.
Those are some really cool stuff. Have you seen any life-size vampire coffin before ? I was thinking that you might have one.
Maybe you could set up the Funko Pop Universal Monsters game against the Golden Girls one. :)

Midnight is the Darkest Hour. I read it, it isn't a vampire book. The main character just likes Twilight a LOT, and constantly references it.
Good to know 😂
Yesss! Printed version of Dracula daily! 🧛🏻 Just finished reading volume 1 of the manga #DRCL and it's super interesting, and a bit weird
Did you ever watch forever knight ? Nigel bennet has 3 vampire books .
Have you ever read IN BLOOD WE LUST BY LOUISIANAX ELENI MIRIAM CALIBAN.
Does the book box send to UK?

She mentioned just doing a playthrough and review of a VtM video game that has its own playlist on her channel!
