I've been to Snow's BBQ only a single time in my life, and yet I can say for certain that their brisket is by far the best I've had in my life.

There are a couple of "grill" restaurants that are ranked highly on lists and with 3 stars in michelin. The ingredients are good, technique's on point, and time is plentiful = very good food.
Gotta respect someone with craft and dedication like that
TBF Gordon's always been like that. He doesn't care how fancy you are, just the quality of the food, preparation and cooking.

Funny you say it like that. Had a friend who worked in the states for a few years and he always said that Texas was a country all on its own. They just had a different vibe. Homegrown, hardworking and proud. It's also the place he felt most welcome. The 'liberal' states always commented on his ethnicity and him being foreign. But in the south in general, if you worked hard and you were well mannered, you were welcome at any table. I'd like to visit someday
