I don't know what impresses me the most: the amount of food he can consume or THE FACT THAT HE KEEPS HIS BEARD CLEAN THE WHOLE TIME. Props to you, mate!
Funny, I said the same thing, before he started filling his beard with crumbs and before there was the first real closeup of his face, showing how his mustace and beard are FULL of them, just not very visible.
Listen, this was an anomaly, both in him not going until he was full and not getting his beard dirty. If this was your first escapade into Beard, do not expect it moving forward.
You have to appreciate the guy that took his orders too! We've seen places where they try to cheat him out of a cash price, etc, but this guy was such a good sport, he even added the t-shirt, and he cheered on him all the way :) That's how you get good press on your place
It is great advertising for them, so of course they are happy he is there. It showcases some fine pizzas and good service. Pizzas don't cost much money to make, and having BMF come to your place for a food challenge is a great way to get the name out there, if it makes a couple extra people go eat there it is a win for them. the pizzas do look good, but I doubt I could manage 2 of them in one sitting.
I feel like the limiting factor to this would be how hot the pizza must be. Like if he's only allowed to order once he's finished that means each pizza is going to be coming right out of the oven.
I’ve commented this before but some how finding your channel a few years ago and watching you over eat helped me overcome severe under eating because it fuels my competitive spirit. You’re my all time favorite food challenge channel and kind of my hero.
I absolutely love the combination of pineapple, bacon, ham, black olives, pepperoni and green peppers! Also, cinnamon baked into the pizza. My favorite!
@@r0bw00d true but the rules are he can only order one after finishing one. He had another similar challenge where they made him wait good time between smaller portion *cough* nuggets *cough*
And being so graceful as to formally clap and congratulate his win at the end AND gift him a sweatshirt and a shirt... all for an extremely reasonable £17. Generous and super professional. Looks like a fantastic place with great pizza. ✨
As a pizzamaker, I applaud you and Gordon's pizzas. They all look so well done and cooked just right. I assume it's a wood-fired brick oven from the look of the pizzas. Good job sir.
U blind? There is a 3 Deck Electric oven in the background. U won’t get that uniformity with a wood fired oven. And this pizza is not bad by all means but far from a really good one that you can find in some places in Italy...
I HATE that cheese method. I get that it's "classic" but I like even coverage of cheese that doesn't fight me each bite. This seems more like one of those goofy af "tomato pies" I see here on the east coast.
Beard - Your videos are keeping me going. I was diagnosed with oral cancer, had surgery recently and am about to undergo radiation. Needless to say, I can’t eat what I used to, for now. You give me a chance to live through you by watching your videos. Thank you for being you and doing what you do.
I'll never understand how one person can eat so much food. "Starting to fill up" as you finish the sixth pizza. Insane. Hurts my stomach just watching it...but I can't stop watching. 😂
As an ex-competitive eater, the simple answer to “I’ll never understand how one person can eat so much” is this: The human body is insane. The longer answer is: the human body is absolutely insane. The extremes our bodies can go through and still come out on top is crazy. With proper training, you can eat upwards of 7lbs+ of food. Those pizzas probably massed somewhere between 4-5lbs, maybe more because of the heavier toppings on the layer pizzas. They earlier pizzas looked rather light, which definitely helped. The best way to go about that challenge would go for you to just order the lightest pizza, which looked like the margarita. Just cheese and tomatoes. The more toppings, the more mass, the less you’ll be able to eat. Also, keeping the fluid intake low at the start really helps. Steady hydration will help keep your throat lubricated and soften up and distribute the food in the stomach. Drinking too much will bog you, drinking too little will make it harder to swallow larger amounts of the food. Hopefully this jumbled mess of information helps!
@@FrostyJokerr Was it a hobby or full time gig? I used to binge eat and i think my stomach is stretchy. What would you eat to regain blood sugar levels while fasting?
@@kaeji_namitsua it was a hobby. Won a few gift cards and cash, but nothing more than $250 (gift card, one time) but usually $50 to $100 for first place finishes. I was enamored by competitive eating, even more so with food challenges and I always had nearly an insatiable appetite. It started at the local fair with a pie eating contest. I won first with 3 full sized pumpkin pies and a few bites into the next in 10 minutes, close second was 2.5-2.75 pies. After that I fell in love. Did it for 4 years or so, maybe a dozen and a half comps. But I also loved food challenges. So I would take on any challenge I came across. Ate 40 wings of increasing heat at a local sports bar, that one was fun. Fun stuff, but to be completely honest, I never considered health. I was 15 when I did the pie eating contest, and went until I was 19 or so. Never thought about health consequences. I’d just swallow pounds of grapes whole to expand my stomach, but that’s the most I got into it. I was young and dumb and really, really hungry. Lmao

Hello Mr Beard. I just want you to know I'm battling PTSD at the moment and I find your videos very helpful in lfiting my mood. Thank you so much for providing quality clean content that we can all enjoy.
Me and 2 of my friends, 40 years ago, went to an all you can eat pizza and salad bar. After we got done with around 3-3.5 pizza each plus the salad and soda the manager gave us $5 each on a $7.99 buffet and asked us to finish up with our plates and leave. One of my funniest memories.
Man you make some great content. Not much of a food watcher anymore but always tap in on your videos. You got a great personality and seem down to earth.
I was fortunate enough to work in a great pizza place for over 7 years. Our boss, Pizza Bob said we could eat as many pizza's as we want on a shift. I once ate 6 , normally ate 4 over a 8 or 10 hour shift. I had to go into "anchovy training" to appreciate them, as well as olives. Now the fishes are my favourite toppings. Much debate about pineapple ended in a "meh, it's for the kids" ... Live the videos, keep up the good work !
That's great, I love anchovies on pizza, and it saddens me how much of a bad rap they get (by the vast majority of people who have actually never even bothered trying it).
just think for that price you getting 2 large ny style pizza here in the states. so ya that's a damn good deal. and with Gordon's name on it, ingredients have to be good quality at least.
@funkjock84 yeh I think the idea is to sell drinks and cocktails at a high margin with the food and you probably don't get service anywhere near as quickly as shown here, so only end up having at most 3 pizzas. Probably 2 if it's busy.
I just started watching my diet to drop my blood pressure and lose some weight, so watching this makes me feel like I'm eating a huge meal like I'm used to! Thanks for letting me eat vicariously through you!

Ahh, I forgot about the timer, yeah.
that beard ain't clean. it's full of taint. beards are full of bacteria
It's the only reason I clicked on his videos lmfao. I just wanted to see if he could keep his beard clean and now I'm on my second video 😂😂😂
You have to appreciate the guy that took his orders too! We've seen places where they try to cheat him out of a cash price, etc, but this guy was such a good sport, he even added the t-shirt, and he cheered on him all the way :) That's how you get good press on your place
Ramsey knows how to hire polite/good people. You can't get the job otherwise.
The smart restaurants know that they will make up the cost of allowing him to win from all the challengers that attempt to beat him!
Imagine what Gordon would do to him if he gave the restaurant bad press lol

I feel like the limiting factor to this would be how hot the pizza must be. Like if he's only allowed to order once he's finished that means each pizza is going to be coming right out of the oven.
pour cold water over it
Thats the limiting factor? Not the 6 pizzas in 2 hours? :) they cool pretty quick
I'm pretty sure the limiting factor is being able to pile 4 kilos of food into your stomach
and them taking that time to make and bring it out
Nah it's definitely feeling full. He had 2 pizzas in the first 25 minutes. If he kept that pace that's 9.6 pizzas (77 slices) in 2 hours
I’ve commented this before but some how finding your channel a few years ago and watching you over eat helped me overcome severe under eating because it fuels my competitive spirit. You’re my all time favorite food challenge channel and kind of my hero.
I have an appetite disorder as well and I find this incredibly cathartic and can help get my appetite going.
I absolutely love the combination of pineapple, bacon, ham, black olives, pepperoni and green peppers! Also, cinnamon baked into the pizza. My favorite!
Finally, Gordon got famous enough to be on beard meats food.

As a pizzamaker, I applaud you and Gordon's pizzas. They all look so well done and cooked just right. I assume it's a wood-fired brick oven from the look of the pizzas. Good job sir.
Right? I was thinking the same about the pizzas!
Nah, they were way too floppy.

Lmao
