I'm starting to think that a majority of the people that watch these videos are watching for the same reason I am. I honestly don't care about how much food you eat or how fast you eat but you are so incredibly interesting, you engage with your viewers as they're watching it and maybe even more importantly, you make sure to express your gratitude to the staff of the places where you're eating. You are as grateful for and appreciative of the staff of the places you're eating as you are of the food.
i kinda watch these to get hungry and motivate myself to go make something to eat, or if i'm eating, i like watching while doing so, -my insides doesn't tolerate me eating fast though, so watching food being made or people eating it, usually helps ^_^' ,another channel i watch frequently is DancingBacons, no challenges or speed eating, just a wide variety of fascinating foods :3
I don't know what impresses me the most: the amount of food he can consume or THE FACT THAT HE KEEPS HIS BEARD CLEAN THE WHOLE TIME. Props to you, mate!
Funny, I said the same thing, before he started filling his beard with crumbs and before there was the first real closeup of his face, showing how his mustace and beard are FULL of them, just not very visible.
Listen, this was an anomaly, both in him not going until he was full and not getting his beard dirty. If this was your first escapade into Beard, do not expect it moving forward.
Never seen this channel before, but I have never been this invested in someone eating pizza. Rooting for you the whole time, seeing the 39th slice was awesome, I think I cheered a little
You have to appreciate the guy that took his orders too! We've seen places where they try to cheat him out of a cash price, etc, but this guy was such a good sport, he even added the t-shirt, and he cheered on him all the way :) That's how you get good press on your place
It is great advertising for them, so of course they are happy he is there. It showcases some fine pizzas and good service. Pizzas don't cost much money to make, and having BMF come to your place for a food challenge is a great way to get the name out there, if it makes a couple extra people go eat there it is a win for them. the pizzas do look good, but I doubt I could manage 2 of them in one sitting.
I'll never understand how one person can eat so much food. "Starting to fill up" as you finish the sixth pizza. Insane. Hurts my stomach just watching it...but I can't stop watching. 😂
As an ex-competitive eater, the simple answer to “I’ll never understand how one person can eat so much” is this: The human body is insane. The longer answer is: the human body is absolutely insane. The extremes our bodies can go through and still come out on top is crazy. With proper training, you can eat upwards of 7lbs+ of food. Those pizzas probably massed somewhere between 4-5lbs, maybe more because of the heavier toppings on the layer pizzas. They earlier pizzas looked rather light, which definitely helped. The best way to go about that challenge would go for you to just order the lightest pizza, which looked like the margarita. Just cheese and tomatoes. The more toppings, the more mass, the less you’ll be able to eat. Also, keeping the fluid intake low at the start really helps. Steady hydration will help keep your throat lubricated and soften up and distribute the food in the stomach. Drinking too much will bog you, drinking too little will make it harder to swallow larger amounts of the food. Hopefully this jumbled mess of information helps!
@@FrostyJokerr Was it a hobby or full time gig? I used to binge eat and i think my stomach is stretchy. What would you eat to regain blood sugar levels while fasting?
@@kaeji_namitsua it was a hobby. Won a few gift cards and cash, but nothing more than $250 (gift card, one time) but usually $50 to $100 for first place finishes. I was enamored by competitive eating, even more so with food challenges and I always had nearly an insatiable appetite. It started at the local fair with a pie eating contest. I won first with 3 full sized pumpkin pies and a few bites into the next in 10 minutes, close second was 2.5-2.75 pies. After that I fell in love. Did it for 4 years or so, maybe a dozen and a half comps. But I also loved food challenges. So I would take on any challenge I came across. Ate 40 wings of increasing heat at a local sports bar, that one was fun. Fun stuff, but to be completely honest, I never considered health. I was 15 when I did the pie eating contest, and went until I was 19 or so. Never thought about health consequences. I’d just swallow pounds of grapes whole to expand my stomach, but that’s the most I got into it. I was young and dumb and really, really hungry. Lmao
Pizza is, by far, my favorite food. And i can eat insane amounts of it. Once, i ate 3 whole pizzas, which is roughly an equivalent of 24 slices, and people couldnt believe it. Waiter thought i was joking when i ordered it just for myself. (they call it skateboard, because its 3 pizzas merged on one huge plank). Point of the story is, that was at best half of this and i felt like i literally cant eat another bite or have another sip of a drink. I was literally full. Its incomprehensible to me how someone can eat double that and clearly have room for more. As someone said, take 48 slices, put them together in a giant ball, theres no way that fits in human stomach😂
Gotta say, I am struggling to wrap my mind around just how much food this was. Despite Beard's best attempts to confuse us, adding up 48 slices in a sitting is wild. They looked amazing too! Great job as always, Bearded Wonder.
I feel like the limiting factor to this would be how hot the pizza must be. Like if he's only allowed to order once he's finished that means each pizza is going to be coming right out of the oven.
Ramsey built his career being nice to people as well. Although his training under Marco Pierre White had an obvious influence on his teaching style, he's well known for trying to turn restaurants around and I'm sure he's happy you're bringing attention to his pizza place. Also, pineapple on pizza is a sin, but I'm a sinner. I love it.

Me and 2 of my friends, 40 years ago, went to an all you can eat pizza and salad bar. After we got done with around 3-3.5 pizza each plus the salad and soda the manager gave us $5 each on a $7.99 buffet and asked us to finish up with our plates and leave. One of my funniest memories.
Man you make some great content. Not much of a food watcher anymore but always tap in on your videos. You got a great personality and seem down to earth.
As a pizzamaker, I applaud you and Gordon's pizzas. They all look so well done and cooked just right. I assume it's a wood-fired brick oven from the look of the pizzas. Good job sir.
U blind? There is a 3 Deck Electric oven in the background. U won’t get that uniformity with a wood fired oven. And this pizza is not bad by all means but far from a really good one that you can find in some places in Italy...
I HATE that cheese method. I get that it's "classic" but I like even coverage of cheese that doesn't fight me each bite. This seems more like one of those goofy af "tomato pies" I see here on the east coast.
just think for that price you getting 2 large ny style pizza here in the states. so ya that's a damn good deal. and with Gordon's name on it, ingredients have to be good quality at least.
@funkjock84 yeh I think the idea is to sell drinks and cocktails at a high margin with the food and you probably don't get service anywhere near as quickly as shown here, so only end up having at most 3 pizzas. Probably 2 if it's busy.

I was fortunate enough to work in a great pizza place for over 7 years. Our boss, Pizza Bob said we could eat as many pizza's as we want on a shift. I once ate 6 , normally ate 4 over a 8 or 10 hour shift. I had to go into "anchovy training" to appreciate them, as well as olives. Now the fishes are my favourite toppings. Much debate about pineapple ended in a "meh, it's for the kids" ... Live the videos, keep up the good work !
That's great, I love anchovies on pizza, and it saddens me how much of a bad rap they get (by the vast majority of people who have actually never even bothered trying it).
When I lived in shared houses I discovered having strange food tastes meant not having to share your food or see it disappear in the night. I'd order anchovy, pineapple, chilli, olive and sweetcorn pizza and always have a slice left for breakfast

Also he's fit.

or if i'm eating, i like watching while doing so,
-my insides doesn't tolerate me eating fast though, so watching food being made or people eating it, usually helps ^_^'

I'm not only impressed that you killed the record but I'm impressed at how clean your beard is amidst all of this!
That’s what I’m sayin man’s almost clean after 6 FULL pizzas?!
His beard ate all the crumbs. Level three beards are alive you know.
You do realize he ate for 2 hours and this is 16 minute video he could have cleaned himself multiple times off camera ?
I don't know what impresses me the most: the amount of food he can consume or THE FACT THAT HE KEEPS HIS BEARD CLEAN THE WHOLE TIME. Props to you, mate!
Funny, I said the same thing, before he started filling his beard with crumbs and before there was the first real closeup of his face, showing how his mustace and beard are FULL of them, just not very visible.
Listen, this was an anomaly, both in him not going until he was full and not getting his beard dirty.
If this was your first escapade into Beard, do not expect it moving forward.
Ahh, I forgot about the timer, yeah.

You have to appreciate the guy that took his orders too! We've seen places where they try to cheat him out of a cash price, etc, but this guy was such a good sport, he even added the t-shirt, and he cheered on him all the way :) That's how you get good press on your place
Ramsey knows how to hire polite/good people. You can't get the job otherwise.
The smart restaurants know that they will make up the cost of allowing him to win from all the challengers that attempt to beat him!
Imagine what Gordon would do to him if he gave the restaurant bad press lol
They are whipped
Lmao
Average Dante enthusiast
I can’t understand the Maz of it all. My frigging good got lost composting these. Who would you say is to blame?

Although his training under Marco Pierre White had an obvious influence on his teaching style, he's well known for trying to turn restaurants around and I'm sure he's happy you're bringing attention to his pizza place. Also, pineapple on pizza is a sin, but I'm a sinner. I love it.
