Like Siegfried was always an amazing Persona in the original versions of P3, but in Reload he just straight up victimized the entirety of the late-endgame for me ☠

Is it? At least for me when I played P3P and FES, I always did physical skills especially with Siegfried and his vorpal blade plus a lot of passives back then.
Physical attacks scale insanely well in every Persona game, all combat was effectively over in 4/5 the second you could fuse Yoshitsune with the sole exception of the few enemies that nulled physical. P3R's even more egregious because as far as I can tell almost no Shadows null/reflect/absorb all physical attacks until very very high up Tartarus
Junpei is truly the inheritor of Shijiro's crit fiend legacy.

@@Megidolaon999 yea that’s just a hard disagree. Most of the points he mentioned in the video I agree with and paint Akihiko in a good light. This topic is extremely debatable and there is no 100% unarguable better characters in this game. He put Mitsuru as the top party member which I strongly disagree on but there are so many arguments that can be made for every party member. Although both of us can both agree on that Ken and Junpei being bottom two. Past those 2 there are so many strong points for everyone. Like I would never put Koromaru number 1 because of factors like his gauge and he doesn’t hit particularly hard. But regardless so many strong debates for everyone

When you hit like a freight train, do you even need a persona to do damage to your enemy? When you're Shinji, no you do not. He does just as much with 2 hits of his hammer as all the rest of the cast do WITH their personas.

imo, that's why it should be nerfed. restoring the HP cost of low tier physical is much less expensive than restoring the SP cost of low tier magic- partially due to the fact that one Dia can restore enough HP for several uses. It's overall less expensive, significantly.

Magic just sucks in this game, the fact that its strongest passive magic mastery is locked behind RNG skill mutation makes it even worse. So mitsuru, yukari, koromaru and ken just couldn't compete in damage due to their lack of physical theurgy. Shinji is a beast, if only we can keep him till end of game:(

@@kentan9387 crit amp is 1.2x, so is weakness amp from MC, so they're equal, the only party member able to actually surpass him is akihiko due to the typo in the code making buff amp be 1.3x lol
@@tuvieeclips I see haha. But usually against foes like the reaper in this case, I think weakness amp is not applicable so Junpei should do more than MC. Also even though buff amp is 1.3x, Akihiko doesn't get a physical theurgy, so Junpei will have the highest damage against foes with no weakness with Hack n' Blast
But was it really a typo on atlas's part or is this just the power of akihiko's protein
every damage trait is 1.2x but Akihiko's and only Akihiko's is 1.3x so I'm 99.999% sure this was an actual typo LOL

Akihiko hits harder since his characteristic amps the stat boost he gains from Kaja skills, if I recall it’s a whopping 1.8 stat boost so he’ll be the hardest hitter usually.

mc weakness amp 1.2x bonus
junpei crit amp 1.2x bonus
aigis phys amp 1.2x bonus
aki buff amp 1.3x bonus for some reason?
i think it was intended to be 1.2x to be more in line with the rest of the combat characteristics
if it was 1.2x like the rest it would be 1.4 x 1.2 = 1.68 instead of the 1.82 we got, indirectly making him stronger than the rest

@@tuvieeclips Nah Crit Amp is 1.4x while Crit Boost is 1.2x, but yeah judging by how the others go from 1.1x to 1.2x while Aki jumps from 1.1x to 1.3x, its definitely unintentional.

Metis was amazing in FES because of her ability to knock down all enemy types with her various elements, as well as her strong hitting physical skills. This was important due to party members being controlled by AI in FES. Metis will almost undoubtedly not be as good simply due to the fact that you can mainly control your party, but I hope I’m proven wrong!
@@Megidolaon999 Basically all the characters have had their movesets more or less reworked for Reload, so Metis could just join that camp
And even then, she already had more strength than magic and access to Brave Blade and Charge, so all she needs to be at least good is to keep that

Junpei is actually the strongest especially Theurgy wise, because his Critical Amp is actually a 1.4x multiplier bonus to critical damage and a +10% crit rate increase. His slash theurgy outclasses everyone else's. His critical Brave Blade is also almost as strong as Akihiko's critical God's Hand (2-3% dmg difference). Aigis is also another top contender for having the strongest skill with Myriad Arrows, if it hits 5 times, it becomes slightly stronger than Akihiko's God's Hand (4-5% dmg difference). Her Phys Amp is a 1.2x damage increase to all phys attacks.
Yeah his theurgy at best does around 20k, I just didn't show the full damage (shift boost/amp + downed) and wanted to go with a more natural one shot
I think Junpei can also one shot the reaper with his blaze of life if you give him the Laevateinn weapon,shift amp boots,and fire amp accessory.
no, the highest magic damages being Akihiko and Mitsuru pulled 6000 and 7000 at best, I really doubt Junpei can pull more simply because Mitsuru has magic ability and Akihiko has buff amp but Junpei has nothing

I’m interested in Blaze of Life. You could use Agni Bracers and Laevaetinn for Boost + Amp, and Shift Amp Shoes. Blaze of Life has the most base power of all synergies BY FAR. I will test this myself later today, but in mean time what are your thoughts on if this would work? I do believe it has a chance even with how weak magic is due to the sheer fact that it has over DOUBLE, I repeat, OVER DOUBLE the base power of Electric Onslaught.

It would do around mid to high 7K but no more.
Only reasonable way a magic Theurgia can do it is Magic Mastery King and I, basically. That or add in down bonus, which can be reasonably said as illegitimate.
Also while it is around 250 more base than Akihiko's Theurgia, this would really just translates to 33.333333....% more damage due to how calculations work.

@@Megidolaon999 hm? Well you basically need to sqrt the numbers first before comparing
Sqrt 200/Sqrt 450 = 66.66......%
In other words, Sqrt 450 is 33.33....% more than Sqrt 200.
Of course there's more to it in terms of damage calculations. But since the comparison involves the same target, with the same stats (Theurgia needs peak St and peak Ma to get the most potential out of them, it would be odd to not max them for these kinds of videos), with the same amount of boosts available for both characters (Junpei can get boost + amp + Shift Boost + Shift Amp only with equips), the other factors can be negligible.
The Sqrt on calculation makes it so higher base has diminishing gains. Basically this is the main reason why boosts and mult-hit skills are quite more important most of the time in making a skill powerful.

so, everyone but MC, Aigis and Junpei take massive L's for failing to one shot the Reaper on first rotation.
without using shifts only MC, Junpei, Aigis and Shinjiro can pull the clean one shot
and the one that does the most damage is junpei
i don't know how but one time i did 6 digit damage with junpei brave blade and i could never replicate it but it was REALLY funny to me.
also have you tried using best friends to give mitsuru concentrate before she goes up? that could affect whether or not she one shots.

You didn't really need to mod it just for Shinji, you could've just encountered the Reaper in the sections of Tartarus you can use him for. Or did you just want to get him to lv 99 quickly and it would've taken too long in the lower floors?
