Not many tutorials get straight to the point, I hate it when they are half way through and all they do is waste time talking about their lives, introducing their kids and pets, telling us what they did and where they went on vacation, WHO CARES? When I look for a video I want them to get straight to the point, that is why I hate lives too, too much time wasted on saying HI to everyone that get on the chat!

I cook. I sew. I embroider. I do laundry & make the beds. And I can change a baby diaper with the best of 'em. I'm a certified fitness instructor & I teach fitness classes at our local YMCA for a living and to help keep myself and my participants fit.
But I'm also an ASE certified automotive technician, an accomplished machinist, computer programmer (since the C64 days using primarily C++ and MS Visual Basic 6), semi-pro paid photographer since 1982, accomplished electronics designer & technician both analog & digital.
I can also ride & handle both street & dirt motorcycles, hunt & fish, set & collect traps, service and maintain and shoot several types of firearms, and defend myself if needed.
Not intending to toot horn here, I am a humble & very thankful person. The point of this comment is to show that it is very much possible - and nowadays more acceptable - for either a man or a woman to have the abilities and to fill roles which are traditionally stereotyped to gender :). I like to do a bit of both and my wife SO appreciates it :).
Great video & demonstration. I have a small serger but it is a pain to keep it threaded & happy. But my beloved Kenmore 385.xx sewing machine has the "C" overcast foot and now thanks to you I know when & how to use it :)

I think I ce commented on one TouTube video before? But I watched your video a few days ago and your voice was so soothing. Everyone has those moments sewing where they want to chuck their machine out the door, so thank you for teaching with such calm and reassurance:)

Thank you so much for this informative and easy to understand video. i had no idea my machine could do this - it's not a Brother, it's just a cheap one i got from Lidl a few years ago, but prompted by your video, I got the manual out and there it is - 3 types of overcast stitch. Time to practice now. Onwards and upwards! xx

That's a mighty fancy machine you've got there. Mine is old and simple (like me). I just finish my edges with pinking shears. Lol
Want to see what other tricks you might know, so I'm gonna subscribe.

Such a good teacher! The yellow thread, lighting, and view were all highly conducive to actually seeing what you do in the video and thank you so much for using 2 different enough types of fabric.:) Also, thank you for the link for the rotary cutter, etc. & for even showing the cutting portion bc I wondered how exactly those worked.

Great instructional video. I am glad I found it because I want to try that stitch exactly for some expanded pillowcases. Having a dude teach me just adds that extra level of comfort for another guy; and your tone and manner of teaching is so cool, clam and collected. I look forward to checking out your other videos. Thanks.
