Oscar Isaac’s ability to swap between Marc and Steven (also Jake) is incredible I also like how he was able clearly give them distinct mannerisms that are unique to them.

Yeah my experience before Moon Knight with DID characters was Mike from Total Drama. It was handled pretty okay (I think) in Revenge of the Island but in All Stars all the Alters were deleted with Mike getting all their skills. I enjoyed how Moon Knight treated DID much more.

@Tyco Zer0 I don't mind at all! It's not that different. Technically I'm only in a relationship with the host (the main identity) but I consider all the guys my family. It's like living with 5 or 6 family members but only 1 is around at a time. Plus you get to meet new family members (whenever a new alter shows up) which can also be interesting. I'm only dating one of the guys so it's like having a long distance bf that you only get to hang out with once every month or so. It sucks but it makes every interaction more special so it's doable. I'm not super close to all the guys but the ones I am close to mean a lot to me.
@@farahanis3536 it depends. An alter can front from just a minute or 2, all the way to a few days. If they get front stuck maybe a week (which is never fun for them). Multiple alters can be fronting and switching at once depending on how they are with each other, alters can surface for only a few seconds to check on how the person fronting is and then dip back if theyre able to. It really depends on the individual and how they're feeling. And then sometimes it's uncontrollable. On average an alter will spend half a day to a day and a half fronting.
Oscar Isaac, the VFX artists and the doubles for stand ins (in the scenes where Marc and Steven interact and are in the same shot) deserve a lot more credits, because HOLY sht it’s amazing, especially the scenes where Osiris opens the door for them to leave, and the scenes where Mark and Steven hug-
As an alter in a DID system myself, I absolutely LOVED the fact that Steven was the one that the show introduced us to, and made the audience fall in love with, first. It reinforces the idea that all of the alters are equally real, which is a much more realistic portrayal than most other fictional depictions of DID, which show alters as "fake" and portray them as 2-dimensional stereotypes. This was just one of the ways in which this show was a MUCH better portrayal of DID than pretty much anything that came before it (including movies that were "based on a true story" but highly fictionalized and overdramatized). - Leyna

This show is amazing. It represents exactly what D.I.D. is really like. It's arguing with yourself on a daily basis, it's having to agree with yourself 24/7 over every choice. It's feeling crazy as fuck compared to everyone else. But for some reason. The person you are always gonna feel closest to in some weird way, is yourself.
