Thanks for another great video :) Your videos have really helped me in 2023, and I’m excited for all the new ones in 2024 :) I started goalkeeping about 14 months ago. I live in a country, (I’m not from there but have lived there for like 4 years) where sports for girls isn’t that big. Especially soccer. My parents never played soccer before, so I had to figure out a lot of things on my own. Your videos have been very helpful for me :) Last year I decided I wanted to try to become a pro goalkeeper. Some people say that I can’t do it, but I’m still going to try. I have learned so much in a year, that people don’t doubt me anymore, and many people tell me that I can do it. A few months ago, I got to meet my goalkeeping idol, and my favorite gk in the world, Uğurcan Çakır, which was probably the best day of my life, and that inspired me to work even harder. I just wanted to let you know how helpful your content is for me, and I'm excited to see what happens this year :)

Dont worry mate I am going through this phase myself you simply work on what you can control and wait for the your opportunity and pounce on it when it comes. Also I think you should be starting but everybody has an opinion and nobody is correct don't worry mate it is a matter of when and not if keep going

Difficult to not see you in the starting 11. I don’t really know if your teammate should be or not the first option because I’ve never seen him play or train in detail. Anyway keep pushing as hard until the coach doesn’t have any option to put you regularly. You are definitely dedicated and in a very good shape that soon or later I’m sure you are going to be the first option in that list every week

It's up to you! Whenever you like, I try to make mine last a good amount of time, but if you feel like they are completely worn out, then it might be a good point to get a new pair!

Connor, you touched on staying mentally healthy by being positive with what is in your control ect. But as a former field pro player fighting for scraps of playing time and having just started a family that some players have different opinions on discussing football matters inside home life , I know there’s loads of guys watching that are young and single and just have their own inner voice to deal with. do you talk with Frankie about what she sees or thinks about your current situation or does she not want to get involved and let you discuss this with outside sources? Guess I’m asking and thinking that maybe they would be more comfortable opening up so that they can have some kind of communication to feel mentally grounded with people who are close. If this makes sense.
Yes I definitely talk to Frankie - she's played a massive part in the last 10 years of my career, so she's seen it all, and I really trust her opinion/advice. We make a lot of our decisions together, and it helps massively to have someone that you can share that burden with!

@@ConorOKeefe scholes did quickly go to JJB because he came out retirement and boots hadn’t come through from Nike yet !!! He was wearing a pair of worldie old school lasers in last charity game he bought of a boot reseller.
