    I've had one of those tools in my drawer for 30 years and I had no idea what it was. Thanks.

    One thing I can add to this conversation from experience is if you're having a hard time getting it to go try the other way! I've had some different cars that were reversed threaded back in.
    Hope this helps

      Yes. For example in Toyotas these is a counter clock wise srcew on the left side and and clock wise on the right.

    Hello! I watched your Golf 4 and Bora videos and i’ve got the same car. I need to know the resistance of the oxygen sensor? Because I think mine could be defect.. It Would be great if you could measure yours if you still have it

    Thanks for the video. Did you apply a force on rewinding the piston while rotate it?

    Did you apply pressure while rotating?

    Dos this work better than a piston compressor? For years I have just used C-clamps, and never bought an application-specific tool. I just saw these and piston compressors on Rock Auto, and thought for a few dollars it might be worth it. Thanks, great video!

      This is handy for most rear brake caliper pistons as they have to be rotated as they're pushed in, but this is no good for standard caliper pistons that are just pushed straight back into the caliper.

    An excellent walk-through sir!
    One thing I just don't understand - if the car is simply pushing the piston out, in-use - why the heck is it needed to rotate it, to go back in?? What a stupid design!

      Sometime the piston will catch on the boot when you just push it in with a vise or clamp .the rotating is suppose to minimize pinching the boot.

      @@cyberneticghost47 That car has a electrical handbrake. Handbrake uses a jack screw inside the piston to get piston moving.

      why??

      @DustinHillegass-ib2ew Рік тому +1

      Yes why. Wd-40 isn't even a lubricant, it stands for water displacement 40! If you want lube on it put lube on it wd strips any grease or lubricant off of what you apply it to.
