@@robgraham23 thats not a problem. It means that you don't actually have to go super fast to have fun and feel fast. Thats the reason why I put an exhaust on my motorcycle
I have injen intake and paranoid when it rains as there lots of puddles where I live. As sits low, thinking of getting hks but does perform well cause all the heat from the engine bay.
On my stock ek4 when i put an induction kit and exhaust on, i drove it for a couple of days sounded good then my mate said to disconnect the battery for 10 minits then reconnect. The ecu recognised the mods and Man did it change the car!
Nice video and the sound is better than i expected, £400 is steep for a HKS, but £200 i would pay, thanks so much, much appreciated. If you are looking to sell before you put your car up for sale, please let me know.
Just got a FN2 myself and this is the same mod I've done too. Mine is a piper cross intake with heat Sheild sounds exactly the same as this but was only £100. I saw in one of your other videos you mentioned you was a having some flat spots with yours? Been running the piper cross no issues, so could maybe give one of them a go? Is this filmed near Wakefield? Feel like I know that roundabout. I'm from Huddersfield
Hi mate Im also from the portsmouth area and have had an fn2 for 10 months now, just got my hks rsk yesterday and was wondering if you fitted it yourself or used a garage to do so? and which garage as i have already had a place refuse to fit it. thanks
Madwhipz alright chap, most garages will refuse to fit “performance parts” I did it myself, took about 45 mins to do. And you only need a very basic toolkit, cross head screwdriver and a 10/12mm spanner from memory. The only tricky bit is that it doesn’t say in the instructions that the lower half of the standard airbox is attached with rubber bungs. It just requires a firm pull to remove it. It took me a while to realise that I didn’t need to undo more bolt. Just pull it.
I didn't map the car, I had a slight flat spot, a mate with the same install didn't get the flat spot. It was very mild and most probably wouldn't notice. Was around 2750-2900rpm
@@robgraham23 Cheers thanks for the reply, I ordered one. I had a similar intake before for my FN Type S and it was triggering engine bank running too lean error.
I have a 320dED 2010 roughly about 160bhp turbo seems like new and it does pull really well, will a fn2 feel sluggish compared to it? Or vice versa 🤣 thanks I do really need to drive one to see what there about
I’ve owned FN2s and plenty of E90 320ds. Don’t underestimate a 320d. It was the car that converted me to diesels as daily drives. They are around 180 brake but it’s the mountains of torque you get that gives them an Edge. No where near as exciting to work as a k20 though, I think your biggest problem going from a 320d into a k20 is going to be keeping up with the gear changes. It’s a completely different animal.
@@robgraham23 I wanted to buy one new.. could pls advice where can l find it for £400 new in the uk any website you suggest? And if I buy used one is it better to change filter tip before I install.. Many thanks
My video I'll do as I please, no one's making you watch it. To be honest are rather people like you wouldn't bother, absolute keyboard warrior that wouldn't say it to my face.
I like the fact that it is completely quiet before it hits VTEC. Lets you drive the car normally but is more fun when you want it to
It made such a difference to the car, only problem was it made it feel quicker than it actually was.

Ah man that's amazing it be hitting vtec every chance like a junkie so good
Jesus it barks love the sound of these cars
On the hunt for a fn2 type r now.
Incredible sound!
Sounds bloody awesome
Delicious sound!
Sounds crisp
Daaam i need this Kit for my FN2 Type R =)
Wow that sounds amazing
That sounds really good. 👍🏼
I’ve used the pipercross kit at a 5th of the price and it does the same thing. I did later fit the ram air silicone hose and it’s even louder
Realistically an open cone filter is an open cone filter. They’ll all sound much the same. You just pay for branding.

Ebay mate brand new they sell loads think it was £115 including heat Sheild and post and package.
The car will be going up for sale later this year, will take the induction kit out and back to standard, not until around June 2018
ok thanks
Rob Graham any more on this? What mileage has the car done? I'm assuming SH?

Where did you get your piper cross from for £100?
No this was down near Portsmouth, Bedhampton Roundabout. So a fair distance from Wakefield
Heat shield is a good investment or just something to channel cold air to the filter, prevents this becoming a ‘hot air’ intake. Nobody likes hot air
Never had the Nerve to V Tec in 6th...Shit! My gear change counter rarely comes on😃😃
Pussy
You'll get there eventually when you build trust with the car. At least you respect it unlike these hooligans calling you a pussy.
bruh yeah vtec in 6th is like 115 mph and on

Rob Graham yeah thats what i began to realise with these garages, i might have to give it a go on my own then if it really isnt that hard, thanks
Im thinking of getting this, but do you have to remap the car? if not did you encounter any heat soak or flat spots?
I didn't map the car, I had a slight flat spot, a mate with the same install didn't get the flat spot. It was very mild and most probably wouldn't notice. Was around 2750-2900rpm
Did you have to remap this for this to not trigger an EML light for engine running too lean? cheers!
No, ran absolutely fine without.
@@robgraham23 Cheers thanks for the reply, I ordered one. I had a similar intake before for my FN Type S and it was triggering engine bank running too lean error.
I sit at around 85-90 on most my m way journeys (other than smart motor way) what revs is that car at in 6th gear at this speed? Thanks
At 70mph you're probably about 3500rpm
90 is 4500 but it doesn't feel high it feels like it wants to go faster lol
I’m getting mine done today it don’t cause engine light to come on

Love this video but dam that was a long arse gear change
How much did the kit cost and how much did it cost to fit in?
New £400 I got mine on eBay second hand for £250. Took about 20 mins to fit it. No cost as long as you have a couple of spanners.

Verbal diarrhoea, just put the barebones details in the description and let the car do the talking. 😂
