    Hey, Kevin! New guy in real estate here. In your 5 Reasons Why You Should NOT Get Into Real Estate video, one of the reasons you mention is if someone is impatient and expecting "fast money". In this video, you talk about your love for fast-money more than once and towards the end, you even go as fart as to say that that's the goal. I'm having trouble with this contradiction. What can you say about it?

    I think most people underestimate just how challenging it is for almost every single new realtor. There's a reason that something like 90% of realtors quit the business within 5 years. It's a dog fight for business and that's reality. You need to do a lot of things you don't want to. That's just business.

My mom has been a realtor for 15 years but does no marketing for herself. Should i stay behind the scenes and share commissions with my mom, or start trying to make my own deals. I just dont know how people would feel with my age when it comes to such a big decision

    If a home buyer or seller ever files a lawsuit against you or alleges misconduct against you in a real estate deal, as an independent contractor real estate agent with no legal corporate structure set up for your business, you might be held personally liable for damages. This means your personal savings or even your own home could be vulnerable to being seized by creditors.
    Real estate agents can protect their personal assets from the worst-case scenarios of running a business while also enjoying some tax advantages by taking one simple step: setting up a Limited Liability Company (LLC).
    What are your thoughts about real estate agents forming an LLC ?

    • @KevinWardNOW
      @KevinWardNOW  6 років тому +1

      First, I'm not an attorney...so can't give legal advice on this. For legal liability questions, talk to your attorney (or at least to your broker). E&O Insurance is pretty strong protection for unintentional mistakes...but liability can still exist. On tax advantages, consult your Tax Planner/Advisor or CPA....SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS REAL ESTATE BROKERAGE.

    • @johnleon4065

    You forgot... Pick the right Pay Plan and I'm baffled you don't tell people this!! Its much more important than picking the RIGHT office. Most offices, especially franchises, stink at training even though they claim great training. Trust me.. I've been at them all before starting my own brokerage. They want to abuse you at 50/50 pay plans before any franchise fee's and your chances of failing are about 100% in that scenario. I see it every day and talk to new agents who think they need a franchise to make it. YOUR BROKER NAME IS IRRELEVANT so wipe that off your list right up front. PICK THE BEST PAY PLAN AND START WITH A SMALLER OFFICE and your chances go dramatically up. If you see 100 Agents at an office, RUN.

    • @DonBSeleh
      @DonBSeleh 4 роки тому

      Kevin did a video about picking a pay plan- in his experience he made more money when he split 50/50 because it was a high performing office. He then moved to another office with better split for him but ended up making much less. In my opinion surround yourself with a successful team and the success will rub on you.
