Imagine hearing that as a Vikings fan

I had hope. I thought they had a really good shot at getting into field goal range. And they did! Had Diggs' been tackled they were in solid position to win the game. Only problem is... the kicker would have crumbled under pressure.

Then how come he sounds so angry all the time? Even when the Vikings pull off a Hail Mary, he sounds angry. I certainly wouldn't want him as my dad, that's for sure.
Him and Merrill Reese are my favorites, and wouldn't you know it they're both going to be calling next week's game in the same stadium.
It's just his voice dude, chill. He's also passionate AF about the Vikes, which is part of what makes him so fun to listen to, especially on plays like this one.

This video is my ring tone. I’m from St. Paul MN. Whenever my phone rings in public, people still smile, one little guy had memorized the radio announcers call, heard my phone, he starts in, I joined him, a small crowd gathered and at the end, high fives all around. What a great play.

Happened so quickly and the stunning disbelief of the moment....I find it amazing Paul Allen didn't choke up in the middle of the run. I was speechless in the stands. I was fully convinced there would be a penalty flag thrown--if for no other reason the team in Purple isn't supposed to win games like this.
I'm not a Vikings fan, but this is truly one of their greatest moments. And if you are a Vikings fan, and you see this, and you don't get a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye, then you're somebody I don't want to know.

@@sambehrens - same here. I haven't even felt that strong a desire to go to anymore games since because it was so electric in that building I can't think of anything that will ever match it. though I still watch every weekend, I just decided to save my money for other more important things.
As I commanders fan this is my favorite moment in NFL history. I remember watching it live in disbelief. It brings a lump to my throat just to think of the pure adrenaline and excitement that went through each and every Vikings fan. Something I hope to experience in my lifetime.

I'm pretty sure Paul came up with *_Minneapolis Miracle_* to use at the Super Bowl (because broadcasters in the past have said they play around with catch phrases) but I give him credit for dropping it when this happened. And you can tell it wasn't really that spontaneous because he knew it was partially talked over the first time so he made sure to repeat it. 😂😂👍
If you were listening to the radio broadcast he mentioned before the play that they needed a "Minneapolis Miracle" so you were right that it wasn't spontaneous.
The "Minneapolis Miracle" was first used during Week 3 of the '09 season when we beat the niners on a Brett Favre Hail Mary.

I'm telling you we should have kept Case. One year and he led the vikings to the championship. Imagine Case with JJ and Hockenson. Almost as explosive as the dolphins offense.
Case had the #1 defense in the league that year. The Vikings have the #31st ranked defense in the league this year. Quite the difference and we still had as many wins as that team.
There’s a reason Case Keenum has been a career journeyman and backup. He’s nowhere near the level as Cousins as a QB
