I speak as an Arsenal fan, for whatever that matters. What happened here at NFFC can never be overstated! From an average 2nd division club to league champions and *double* European Cup winners in 5 years, when you let that settle for a minute it still defies belief even now, all these years later! I'd argue that it stands as one of the greatest periods of sustained success in any sport, any era, ever! Let's not forget too that in the process of doing this they beat and eclipsed the best side in Europe at the time in all the key moments. Perhaps the ultimate legacy that Brian Clough, Peter Taylor and this team left is this, you'll never hear a bad word said against Nottingham Forest FC, everyone has an affection for the club and everyone would love to see them back in the top flight of football. I'll just add this, one of the most enjoyable moments in football is still watching the Yorkshire television interview with Brian Clough and Don Revie, immediately in the wake of the former being sacked by Leeds Utd. The interviewer, Austin Mitchell, asking towards the end, "What's next for Brian Clough? Who's going to touch you with a bargepole"? Well, the rest is history, as they say!
I love the fact that 40 odd years on it's still 'Mr Clough' :)
Your comment made me laugh. I live and work in Nottingham, in healthcare. And recently I was making polite conversation with a male patient whilst we was waiting to get started. Turned out he played for Derby in the 60’s under Mr Clough. Even today the patient referred to Clough, as “Mr Clough” 60 years on …. Brilliant.
United fan here, always loved the story of Forrest it’s one of Footballs true fairytales.
they destroyed us at Old Trafford.
True were not having the best season still got a cl spot atm
@@space-dog-astro1339 i think he means dec 17 1977 forest win 4 nil i was there used to visit my irish relatives at Xmas we stayed in the eddie Colman block of flats in Salford i think it's student accomadation these days come on the tricky trees
Newcastle fan here who loved to watch Cloughies Forest on MOTD in the late 70s early 80s playing footy how it should be played
AEK Athens and Borussia M' Gladbach fan here!
I've already seen this movie ten times so far...
And guess what, I'm not intending to stop!
One of the greatest footballistical legacies!
Brilliant film - saw it last night. Reminds me of when football was football. Highly recommended.
True story: I'm a nervous flyer - it's a real issue for me getting on planes. I've used this movie as my counterbalance to my fear of flying. The sync'ing of the (vintage) music with the (vintage) footage of the team and the city produces an experience that I've never seen before. It makes you so emotionally attached to the players, the people, the city - you forget about your fear of flying. I can't thank the production team enough!
The very name Nottingham Forest, the club itself is the quirkiest of them all. I remember watching them back then- they played breathtaking football at times- unstoppable and unplayable on their day
What a great description! 👌
Pompey fan here but I think the whole country thought a lot of that Forest team and what they achieved. An entirely British team too. It'll never happen again.
I went in 2015 to Showcase Cinema Nottingham to watch this premiere. I saw some of the team like Woodcock etc at the popcorn stand. It was overwhelming to watch this being from Nottingham and I cried like I was there when they won the European Cup. I wanted to stand up and cheer when they scored. 2nd best day of my Forest life. First day was when I went motorpoint arena to see the Forest Legends and met Frank Clarke,Martin O'Neil and Gary Birtles. We had selfies. My best day ever!!!! Come on the 🌲's
As a Man United fan, this is the greatest football documentary ever made, by miles. Quite fitting as Clough's achievements are remarkable but I've never seen another documentary transport you into a dressing room quite like this one.
Cloughie,s self belief was unbelievable took the players with him. What a journey brilliant 👏
Un super fan desde mexico
What a time to be a Forest fan! This is what football is all about, absolutely loved this film. I'm a Geordie, but I've developed a real soft spot for Forest watching this :D
Absolutely brilliant film.
This sporting documentary is right up with Class of '92 and Senna as great documentaries.
I long for the days when we can be that successful again. I’m nearly 50 now…….

just watched this. what a great film, with amazing footage, great editing, kits and an awesome soundtrack ...#toomuchfun
I'm halfway through this and it's brilliant, the interview with him and Don Revie is unbelievable, his self assurance was incredible to see, imagine someone suggesting that in the modern era?? Would never happen, I was only a child in the 70s but football was so much simpler then before money ruined it
A fantastic documentary!
What Cloughie did was nothing short of a footballing miracle. An amazing coach...amazing.
as uplifting, entertaining, & charismatic a film as the man himself; brian howard clough, a football genius.

2º) I Believe In Miracles - “O Milagre Do Nottingham Forest” (Inglaterra, 2015) de Jonny Owen.
Saw it almost two times in a row!!
And here we are.
Quite easily the greatest football film ever made, bar non, from a Preston North End fan
Looks incredible

The European Super League - "We don't believe in miracles"
One day, a game of Football Manager will be able to put together something like this over the end credits.
We never used to sign so many players who we keep on our Books for years without them getting a game Forest have become a graveyard for unwanted hard to manage footballers UNTILL we put an end to this nonsense we will never see success like we did with SIR BRIAN CLOUGH AND PETER TAYLOR GOD BLESS THEM
