End last month she performed at his last stage in Vegas an amazing double concert. A marathon Singing 38 songs that evening 🌆 something magical happened there 😮🎉
It's beautiful, isn't it? Her mastery of dynamics is one of her secret weapons in the creation of her emotional authenticity. Variety in the volume of the performance, along with variety in technique, can make even Mary Had A Little Lamb sound like I'm A Fool To Want You. even without adding a single additional note to the melody. The video was shot at Melrose Gallery and Antiques in L.A.
The store is in the Hollywood neighborhood and was well into a going out of business sale last October.
Great reaction. This was shot at the Melrose Antique Shop in L.A. They have done three performances in this shop and I believe the owners are family friends! If you notice at the beginning the Executive Producer is Mery Zamani, Angelina’s Grandmother and her inspiration from the beginning! Angelina nailed this one from the start. The antique shop just pulled you into the classic/vintage Elvis song. Shaking the dust off of vintage music, black leather jump suit, red guitar-believe it is actually Rob Christie’s-and Priscilla Presley’s Beehive hair style, all relates back to the 1968 comeback special. Her two cousins and her sister Juliette show how important family is and her growth. The symbolism throughout the song was awesome. Rob Christie is a Grammy winning producer and the director of studio operations at Republic Records, Angelina’s record label. He has accompanied her on piano since her signing with Republic Records.

Sweetness, emotion, soul, love, are all ingredients absolutely present in her voice, Angelina uniquely embodies the charm of naturalness, she is an inexhaustible source of musical poetry, regardless of the genre and style she interprets. I loved that Angelina made this rendition very sweet, slow and moving but also so powerful, she manages to sink us into the song in an even deeper way than Elvis' original. I love very much her stripped versions of the classic songs that she chooses, she always takes you to listen to almost forgotten songs, even if they are very beautiful. Angelina, a unique girl with a amazing and sweet family around her, they are truly a wonderful reality.💛🧡❤
A masterpiece both musically and visually from a 16 year old. She has already claimed her place in music royalty. A caution, Angelina has a beautiful new song, "Princess of Ruins" which fans will ask you to react to. The only recordings thus far are from a recent concert recorded by fans. My personal opinion is reactors should wait until she releases her own professional recording. I enjoy hearing the fan recordings, some better than others, but none will compare to a studio version.
There is a version of the concert video in which someone has cleaned up the audio, but I haven't yet had the chance to watch it, so I'm not sure how well it came out.
The warmest solid best opening placement Ive ever heard. She sings timeless beauty no matter the tune. At 18 we can rest assured that she’s the one that will take classic Songbook standards to generations we will never see.

In the Elvis version in the middle of the song he abruptly slows it down and sings Oh let our love survive. This is where she starts the song. Pure genius.
I put this in the same category as Angelina’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Billie Jean. Angelina completely disassembles and then recreates an iconic song. She respects the melody so beautifully while giving us something we’ve never heard or imagined. And we understand the meaning of the lyrics in a way the original artists never attempted to do.
This is Angelina hitting on all cylinders: musically, visually, vocally, and aesthetically. She is easily the best singer I’ve ever heard.

On the 29th of Feb she made her Vegas debut at the Westgate Resort where Elvis did his Vegas residency. She was thrilled to perform on the same stage and in her opening comments she spoke of Elvis and how he inspired her. When she does a cover she always respects the original artist while at the same time putting her own unique spin on it. Someone said Rob Christie bought Elvis' guitar. He let her borrow it for filming.
The store should be in LA. Appearently its available as filming location, fans found another artists video filmed there. So you should be able to find it on the net somewhere.
Rob owns the same make model & color of guitar as Elvis used, but it's not the "Kings" actual guitar, that sold at Christies Auction House for several $100K.
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old.

Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 71 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul.

Her Grandma, Mery Zamani, helped produced this. She used the same store (Melrose Gallery in L.A.) she used for her My Funny Valentine and I Have Nothing videos. Sadly, though, the store is going out of business. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, Aires and Athena. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King! By the way, she actually met and spoke with Priscilla Presley and Austin Butler, the actor who portrayed Elvis in the most recent movie about him, at a private screening!

Angelina starts off with the bridge, completely different from anyone else; and then, begins with the opening line of the song. Her beehive hairdo, is in the homage to Priscilla...many photographs of her hair exactly like that. And a leather outfit he later wore. The guitar is the Elvis 1968 "Comeback" Guitar. Rob Christie actually owns this one. The two young cousins, are Uncle/Manager Michael's children. The young girl is her sister, Juliette. Angelina had a framed photo of Elvis in the Service, at the location. Such respect. Rob Christie is on the piano. A few months ago Angelina was invited for the 2nd time to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway, her home town. The recipient is Narges Mohammadi, a women's rights advocate, currently in prison in Iran. Angelina is singing to Narges' twin 17 yo children & her husband who live in exile in France & haven't seen her in 10 years. Angelina chose Unchained Melody, a classic song about a man who is unjustly in prison longing to be with his family, which is perfect for this occasion. I don't know if you noticed the Priscilla Presley hairstyle or not, but this was an awesome tribute to both. I think this was shortly after Priscilla passed away, but I'm not sure.

Rob Christie is Playing Piano, and he is AJ's A&R person with Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.
AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. She states, "I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. "Suspicious Minds" is a 1968 song written and first recorded by the American songwriter Mark James. After this recording failed commercially, it was recorded by Elvis Presley with the producer Chips Moman. Presley's version reached No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it was his last hit record to reach No.1.
(Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, had a long and successful career that spanned from the 1950s to the 1970s. He recorded hundreds of songs and sold millions of records worldwide. His last two hits of his career were "Way Down" and "Moody Blue", both released in 1977, the year of his death. "Way Down" was a rockabilly song that reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the country charts. "Moody Blue" was a ballad that peaked at number 31 on the Hot 100 and number two on the country charts. Consider this; there are lots of performers that impersonate Elvis, and some can sound just like him. Have you ever experienced someone that sounds like Angelina Jordan, let me be the first to answer that question, the answer in no. That is because AJ is one of a kind, and on a level that supersedes all others. If you question what I have just stated just listen to the professional voice teachers after experiencing AJ. They all admit that they are speechless because they have never heard anyone like AJ.

This is my 126th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. Actually I think she did change a lot. She started with the bridge and she slowed the song down a lot. A much different arrangement than the Elvis version. She has reconstructed several other songs such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Billy Jean. With some songs she is very close to the original (or most known) version and others she’ll take it in a different direction. I feel that it an artist is covering a song and doing an exact copy then maybe there is no point.
Her version of Back to Black is very similar to Amy Winehouse’s original except that Angelina wrote all new age appropriate lyrics the day before recording at age 10.
