Hi guys, This performance was a total tribute to Elis. Piano player dressed same as Elvis band member, AJ dressed as Elvis, Guitar same as Elvis used, Hair tribute to Pricilla. When Elvis concert around reunion comeback.
So I know Sean is a guitar guy, could you react with him for Pink Venom, Blackpink (I know you did solo reaction), but I want to see if he can identify that crazy guitar that Rose is playing in the video 🤣
From Iowa, USA; 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she owns the rights to everything she sings and with aquired permissions for covers of other singers. 2. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot, sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! 6. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 7. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.
The style of this video was a great tribute to Elvis. The Priscilla hair, the red guitar, even the outfit the pianist is wearing. BTW: that guy on piano is Rob Christie - The Director of Republic Records in LA. I enjoyed your cover at the end too :) I like that you covered Angelina's version instead of the original ;) Angelina's ability to re-arrange a song is as impressive as her vocals. She is an artist in so many ways.

every thing in this video is symbalic . Hair-Prisilla Presley / guitar and leather outfit from his 1968 comeback . young girls-her growing up. red coat on pianist- his band members used wear red jackets.
Nice reaction Angelina is in my opinion the best out there today her style is so versatile that's why you don't get bored with her and can listen to her sing the same song again and again a living legend
Angelina‘s grandma was the executive producer of this video. The antique store is owned by someone in their family. The three young girls r her two cousins & sister. She also pays tribute to Elvis by wearing blue suede boots which you can see when she lays on the loveseat ♥️🇨🇦♥️
There is a plethora of symbols in this video. Hairdo = Priscilla Presley. Rob's red jumpsuit = the piano player in Elvis's 1968 comeback concert as is Angelina's leather outfit and red guitar. Of course, Angelina rearranges the song to begin with the bridge. Well done folks. Thank you.
OK guys, so much to say...Big Angelina fan here PLUS Big Elvis fan...76, 6'6", 300...old and fat...but just found YOUR CHANNEL and LOVE IT. You guys are so fun to watch react! Your faces speak clearly with precision on even the most subtle changes and your commentary is elegant.
Beehive hair and leather jumpsuit were homages to Elvis and Priscilla, piano man wore red in homage to Elvis’s piano man! Great singing and playing Andrea and Sean
Brilliant reaction, maybe your best to Angelina. Spot on, honest, and at the same time hilarious ! What more can we want - I felt like watching Angelina as well as you live !
The video is a snapshot of the 68 Comeback Special. Black leather suit, the piano player is wearing a replica of the suit the back up players wore in the sit down portion of the show. The red guitar is spot on. The red and gold setting reminds me of the poster of the new Elvis movie.
Angelina is very smart musician, she thinks, she analizes, she understands and she takes care of creations done by others,,,,,,,,,she respects in a humble way those she covers,,,,,,,,a teen with so much wisdom ,,,,,and so much more ,not just an artist,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,once in a life time experience
Genius = Angelina Jordan Exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability A person who is exceptionally intelligent or creative, either generally or in some particular respect A person regarded as exerting a powerful influence over another for GOOD
A little background, She is paying homage to Elvis. The antique shop with the over the top chandeliers and gilded mirrors would be Found in Elvis's home graceland, comma the black leather suit And guitar were Elvis and her hairdo is the same hairdo that elvis's wife Priscilla had at that time in the sixties Besides guitar she also plays the piano.
Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes.
Angelina’s outfit is homage to Elvis who had the black leather outfit on his comeback show in 1967. Her hair is Pricilla hair, and the guitar is a 1950’s red guitar, that Elvis played on his comeback show. Angelina is simple wonderful.
The red suit is for Elvis, her hair is a tribute to Perscilla, the red guitar is his, it's a tribute to him. Her black leather is also a tribute to him.
This comment belongs to Mr. Andrew Chacone. This video was her tribute to Elvis and Priscilla Presley's, their relationship during Elvis's come back period 1968. Angelina's interpretation of the lyrics to" Suspicious Minds" is Priscilla telling a story of uncertainty between them. The symbolism was displayed by Priscilla's hairdo, Elvis's Black leather jump suit , his Red guitar . By slowing the song down the lyrics told the story filled with emotion and sadness . Angelina rich velvet voice made the song more meaningful, told by a unbelievable talented young singer!. She didn't by Amy Winehouse. "My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust".
In less than 1 mo, Over 1 million UA-cam views since June 22, 2022❗️ Angelina starts off with the bridge, completely different than anyone else; and then, begins with the opening line of the song. Her Beehive hairdo is an homage to Priscilla…Many photographs of her hair, exactly like that. And a Leather outfit he later wore. The guitar is the Elvis‘s 1968 “Comeback” Guitar! Rob Christe actually owns this. The two young children are her cousins, her Uncle Michael’s children, the older girl is her sister Juliette. She even had a framed photo of Elvis, at this location. Rob Christie on piano ok.🌸🌺
Angelina not only cover songs, she uncover them, especially the lyrics. When Angelina sing you really get the story of the lyrics. Angelina is a true storytelling vocalist.🎤 ❤️💯😊
ALL things Elvis guys. The blue suede shoes, the Preciila Prestly bee hive hair style, the Elvis lookn black leather outfit, The pianist with the bold red ties in too...the guitar similar to The one Elvis played in concert. My Own take on the the Whole cinemaography could be a representation of Graceland with the antique furniture, chandeliers, mirrors the antique piano. What a Tribute to the King himself ELVIS. Who better to grace us with a WINNING PERFORMANCE..but none other than ANGELINA JORDAN Our barefoot Princesess / Queen of Jazz & Soul. It's like a fast forward motion of Angelina Jordan growing up in a place of wonderment and fasination of finding hidden gems & treasures beneath the dust & a reviving of the old giving the things of the past a new lease on life brining them into the 21st Century. What an arangement.. and great videography that just compliments her look and her refined mature vocals. She is A LEGEND IN THE MAKING. It Really is a shame her cover was not part of the Elvis Soundtrack. Never the less ABSOULUTELY BRILLIANT!💖👏👏👏👏
Many believe the music legends blessed Angelina with a unique tone and style that transcends all. This performance is a great example, and is a taste of things to come. I think it is her best to date. I also enjoyed your performance immensely! I noticed that Andy Schnell left you a comment below regarding how to grow your channel as well as the artist. It's worth the read and perhaps pinning it on your reaction videos in order to educate your viewers. It is definitely a win-win.
Written and originally recorded by Mark James in 1968, “Suspicious Minds” is a cover by Elvis Presley, released as a single in 1969. I like AJs version much more.
I got a couple of kids that's been doing some dance shows with some similar hair tricks, and if I'm not mistaken they've basically put a big black foam rubber ball on her back head and covered it with her hair. She does a fantastic job of revitalizing Elvis' iconic hit. That tone and breathy voice control, and lifting the lyrics up like never before ... so wonderful to see.
She plays in her TikTok's a lot. This is a Elvis tribute so the muted string thing was a nod to Rock a Billy that Elvis was instrumental in making. Angelina is a competent guitar player. Depending on her interest I getting better, she could become better. Angelina plays 4-5 different instruments. She is also a competent piano player. Then there's flute and violin. I may have missed one in there. She plays guitar in her concerts. That first line exploded in my soul and I literally 'burst' into tears. Angelina and Daneliya Tuleshova are the two young singers that I've watched grow into amazing vocalists that can move me to tears faster than any other singers I've known. For me tears are my goosebumps or chills, I don't get those except when it is cold. I'm wired funny and tears are my default response to greatness, or the overcoming of a seeming insurmountable barrier. That being said, it isn't my response to everybody. Plus I'm not exactly sure all the time what it is that has tripped that switch. O.K. my ADHD has run wild here enough. Thanks for your reaction.
david I think Angelina dropped the violin and flute many years ago. As for being "competent" at playing an instrument, the word is really quite vague. To a professional musician it means one thing; to non-musicians, something entirely different. There's no doubt she can play. Whether she's a "competent" pianist or guitarist, I'm dubious.
@@103mrg I understand. I meant compared to someone who can't play and sing without having to fish around for notes. Hardly what a professional musician would consider competent. So to me she's competent to you, I assume you are a professional, not so much.
@@davidcochran6291 Your explanation has me in complete agreement with you. No, I'm not a professional musician; just enough background and lessons to have the sensibility of one.
Hey guys, first of all this is one of the most incredible videos I’ve seen on YT. The opening verse just sounded like the best female vocal I’ve ever heard. Remember she’s still only 16…
Great reaction interesting: Did you know that Angelina plays the piano, flute, guitar, and violin and also paints and sings in 3 different languages and was the youngest author in Norway with her story of why she wears no shoes during performances?
Angelina can do no wrong! She’s a musical genius! Hearing the words sung this way is haunting! Her hair is reflective of Priscilla Presley, and the black leather is Elvis! ❤
5:10 I am pretty sure his outfit is the same as Elvis' bandmembers in the 68 special, the pink/red jumpsuits. Angelina also wearing the black leather like Elvis from that special. It's a tribute.
The guitar artist, award winning, Rob Christy, is wearing the colors of Elvis's backup musician. Angelina wearing Elvis comeback tour and the guitar also.
Very nice reaction guys! Her Grandma Mery helped produced this. She used the same store (Melrose Gallery) she used for her My Funny Valentine video. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King! On a side note, you have a troll in your comments section called theMan. He jumps from one Angelina reactor to another leaving negative comments, misinformation, and lies for some strange reason. Please pay no attention to this troll. He was going by the name NobelPrize, but he just changed it thinking he could fool AJ fans that know about him.
Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great and, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. If you haven’t already reacted her latest studio of Whitney Houston's version you should - here’s the link - ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html 🙂
Great job, both of you. It's been interesting discovering all the places Angelina has been. The comments on her IG page are quite illuminating. She's been all over the world making people love her. That's what she does.
Elvis's version was more uptempo than Angelina's but she kept the melody and used the bridge of the song to start. The black leather outfit is a nod to Elvis's '68 comeback special, and her hair is a nod to Pericilla Pressley's '60s hairstyle. The red guitar is the same as the one used in the current ELVIS movie and the young girls are Angelina's little cousins, and the older girl is Angelina's younger sister. The piano player in red is a nod to Elvis's band members who all dressed the same when performing in this case he matched the red guitar probably for the visual contrast in the video.
Angelina has covered many songs of Elvis. I have a feeling that when she focuses on an artist she wants to cover, she notices all kinds of details, even unconsciously. For instance she can have the same loose jaw and lips Elvis had and that can make her face look a bit the same. She had the breathy sounds of Michael Jackson inbetween the words when she recorded Heal the world. The detailed inflections of the notes from the way Billie Holiday sings Angelina could reproduce at age seven were insanely good. But still in the end, she makes the songs her own and Angelinizes them in a unique way! I remembered from my youth how Elvis looked and was dressed in the same leather clothes, had the same guitar and his band was dressed with the outfit the same as this pianist Rob Christie here, (all after Elvis made a huge come back) and indeed his wife had the same kind of hair (behive) as Angelina has here. There are probably more clues ment to be a hommage to the King! If you saw the movie you understand Angelina better and if you have seen a lot of her covers you understand the movie better. By the way: the music starts the same way, with the chorus from this song, slowed down the same way, sang by a woman! And the chord progression by the pianist arrangement is a bit more advanced than just a I, IV, V or II, V, I sequence as you noticed by now, but you are right, the original is simple! 😉
Just an interesting facts about Angelina she speaks four languages she paints she writes she actually offered a book when she was 9 years old they're the youngest author in Norway history she takes her inspiration from her grandmother who if you notice on the video produced the video she also plays the violin the guitar the flute and the piano I have no doubt in my mind that she had a lot to do with how this was put together she writes a lot of her own stuff I can't wait for her album I'm so excited I'm 75 years old I've never heard anything like this in my entire life I think she has the potential to become one of the greatest artists in the in the world
Great reaction you 2 & love your comments to. . Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up. The Elvis Easter Eggs. That was all Angie's hair. (I remember my mom doing that back than. It's a long process. If you react to Angie's newer Official cover, you'll see all her hair. “I have nothing” by Whitney Houston ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html Official cover. Looks like they even gave her the rights to her version of the song. Dropped 7-23-22. She’s 16. I love how Angie put in some of her jazzy back phrasing in it also. About all the Elvis eggs, here's some of them. Angie gave a lot of respect & homage to Elvis. Angie really blew this one away. I love what she did with this story This was filmed in the same place that she did “My funny valentine” at Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. There's a picture of (age about 1-2) baby Lisa Marie Presley on a golden couch like Angie's cousin sat on with a white dress. There was one of Lisa also (when she’s about 3) with white dress & she had curls like Angie’s other cousin Athena had (from her uncle Michael's kids). Plus it acted as a double meaning for us watching Angie growing up. Her sister Juilette was the older one in the white dress like Angie was in, when she was 10-12 before she changed at 13 & her, her mom Sara & grandma Mery made clothes for her performances. (Angie made this modern & nostalgic at the same time. She’s emotes the story, for she is a true master story teller & master word smith) The black jumpsuit & red guitar is for the welcome back tour in 1968. The hair was for Priscilla his wife & Angie sitting on the couch too, Chandeliers, mirrors & furniture was for Graceland, the Piano player Rob Christie wearing red like Elvis's piano player & you'll even see that Angie's (Elvis stance) put her leg out & bent like Elvis did. Angelina did a lot of homework & paid a lot of respect & gave us a lot of Easter eggs & there’s still more. As she usually does on her videos. Angelina is just amazing, beyond words & other singers/writers/artists/people. (Like your cover at the end, it was nice & different also) {She's Angelina Jordan Astar} The barefoot Angel with a 1000 voice Check out more from Angie’s 3 concerts in Norway, Angie even opened her 7-7-22 concert with a new cover called “Mount Everest” ua-cam.com/video/DYVxnY06BWw/v-deo.html You should watch the original short song & see what makes what she does even more amazing. Here’s the the original by Labrinth. ua-cam.com/video/4yPZs81lK3w/v-deo.html Her 3 concerts are 7-1-22 in Kurbadhagen, 7-7-22 at Kongsberg & 7-10-22 again at Kurbadhagen. Angie had a lot of fun & so did the fans. (Mattias Axelsson, Vidar Enerud, Kathrine Angeltveit & Trond Andersen are good channels to start with They have some good recordings & video's).
Angelina’s short clips on Tick tock she is often playing a guitar, I’ve been attending Angelina’s live concerts in Norway 🇳🇴 recently and her stage presence is phenomenal her live vocals amazing and she is often playing a guitar, Norway 🇳🇴 an awesome place to visit!
History counts. The beehive hair is Priscilla Presley, the black outfit is Elvis all the way, the guitar is a copy of the one he used in his 1968 comeback tour. The pianist is Rob Christie, head of Republic Records and Paramount Music Studio and 2 times Grammy winner. She signed with Republic last year.
Rob Christie Playing Piano: That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.
That’s Rob Christie (Republic Records) on the perfectly tuned piano. This is just a super tribute to the “King.” The antique shop where AJ is uncovering the old (song) and making it new, the beehive hair style of Priscilla Presley, the red guitar and microphone are similar to the ones Elvis used in his comeback tour. The black jumpsuit AJ wore, the red pinwheel jumpsuit that Elvis wore in “Suspicious Minds” are all things that can relate back to Elvis. This girl is a genius. IMO - she is the greatest vocalist in the world.
The vibe of Angelina's version is "We can't go on together, and it brakes my heart." Elvis' version has more of a "We can't go on together if you don't put your act together, but I'll just find somebody else, so who cares?"-vibe.
1. When you look at AJ, think Elvis 1969 (leather suit, red hollow guitar and Priscilla's beehive hairdo). 2. When you look at the girls, 2 cousins and a sister, think early AJ videos (she always wore white dresses). 3.The piano player is Rob Christie, 2 times Grammy winner, studio director for Republic records who she just signed with. I guess he can wear any suit he wants. 4. They listed Mery Zamami as the executive producer. That's her grandmother who is a famous artist in her own right.
The hairstyle Angelina was wearing refers to Priscila Presley's hair and her clothes were in the style of the time when Elves also wore it and the pianist too, old style.
What a treat; you two even took your time to do a cover of the cover, which was really nice btw. Thanks for the video and your take on the performance and setup. The song is simple, that's true, but sometimes that's all we need, and the slower tempo makes us pay more attention to the lyrics, as you said.
Elvis Presley and his producer Felton Jarvis cleverly covered this Mark James song in 1969, Elvis' last #1 hit in the US and #7 of his most successful songs. Felton Jarvis took the original arrangement completely and pushed the song with more speed and additional instruments (wind instruments, violin etc.) and a spectacular backing choir (in the studio version) and of course with Elvis Presley's voice. Pianist Rob Christie changed the musical arrangement and Angelina the vocal arrangement, but she didn't change the lyrics. Angelina changes the lyric structure, starting with the bridge and giving the song a different meaning. Once again many people hear and understand the song when Angelina tells the story. 💯 *AJ* 💯
@@gary7667 Mark James wrote the country rock song Suspicious Minds under his real name Francis Rodney Zambon and recorded it between May and June 1968 with record producer Moman (Scepter Records 12221) at his American Sound Recording Studios in Memphis. 🤗🤗🤗
Mark James wrote and release it in 1968. Elvis covered it in 1969 and it was his last number one song. Neil had nothing to do with this song and never even covered it. I’ve been a big fan of him for over 50 years, have all his records and seen him live in concert. You may be thinking of Solitary Man that Neil wrote. I used to have a little band and I recorded that song on my reel to reel tape recorder singing and playing guitar sound on sound & double tracking.
The beehive haircut first appeared in 1960 and became the "in" hairstyle of the 60s. Angelina Jordan, with the black leather and the guitar, was modeling herself after Elvis. At the same time, her beehive hairstyle was a portrayal of the style worn by Pricilla Presley and other women in the 60s decade.
Thanks for another nice reaction to & appreciation of another masterful reinterpretation & performance by Angelina - this time of a classic Elvis hit. Definitely a family production - the Executive Producer Mery Zamani is Angelina's grandmother, the 2 younger girls are her cousins & the older girl is Angelina's younger sister Juliette. Great tribute to Elvis - as noted by Angelina's beehive hairdo reminiscent of Priscilla Presley & Angelina's black leather jumpsuit & red Hagstrom guitar just like Elvis in his comeback tour. As you're well aware, Angelina has covered a number of songs popularized by Elvis - including the Elvis version of How Great Thou Art (which I believe Angelina sang in the same key as Elvis). Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
She is getting better She is not on Elvis' level, nowhere close, his baritone was just the most sought after and UNREACHABLE tone ever put to vinyl. One of a kind voice. But sure Angelina IS a brilliant talent and singer. Elvis would have loved singing with her I think.
Angelina sang it in its original intention, as Mark James wrote and sang it. After he released it, it didn't catch on, Elvis put his fast spin to it and it did catch on.
His jacket matches the jackets of the musicians who played on Elvis's original "Suspicious Minds." Her beehive hairdo pay homage to the way Priscella Presley wore her hair at the time. Her cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II is the model Elvis played on the original. The video is a little masterpiece of visual cues. Can you find others?
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your version also. The maturity of notes that your runs were choosing to go to. Nuances, also your tone. Should have known Sean would be with the best. You are both clever and talented and similar in humor. Very entertaining watching your reactions.
My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.
Her piano player is Grammy award winner Rob Christie. He's the Republic Records executive who signed Angelina to a recording contract recently when many others tried and failed. In a sense, he's her boss as well as her accompanist. Whatever, it's clear that she's still "the boss" of her music and is still fully in charge of reimagining the songs and making them "her own".
this whole video is a tribute to Elvis from the black leather to Elvis red guitar to the red jumpsuit Rob is rockin lol. If you are interested Rob Christie is a multiple Grammy winner and the director of all studio work at republic records and has accompanied Angelina several times in her videos .But only Angelina can uncover a classic song and make it something brand new for our ears . you should check out some of her stuff from one of her concerts from Norway this july . keep on reactin .
Her hair is actually homage to Priscilla Presley. She's fine some tik toks with guitar .. Also .. Rob Christie on piano (several times Grammy winner) is her mentor at Republic Records .. and it's wearing one of Elvis' band outfits from that same iconic tour and the guitar she has in this video is the same one Elvis used on that tour ..
Love Angelina's performance--top notch, but so was your version-- thanks for giving us that bonus! (Did you notice that she starts with the last verse-- she really re-arranged the song.
So pleased you have done this reaction and love the way your entertain during it, you are so great together and your cover was lovely. As to the way she performs , I find it such an amazing version, it just gets me from start to finish and is my current favourite from her 170 plus videos but no doubt her next one will be even better if that is at all possible.
No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase.
As others have noted, this is an extended tribute to Elvis visually and vocally, but Angelina’s gift is her ability to respect the originals while giving us something that’s completely her own. I liken this to her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. She dismantled the completely iconic original, slowed it way down, and with stunningly beautiful vocals gave us a new way to love the song. She doesn’t compete with the original-she respectfully reinterprets it with unique vocals that are Angelina’s alone. And she gives us our new favorite versions of songs that we thought should not be touched. Billie Jean is another great example. I agree, Sean, that the original of Suspicious Minds was never on my favorite list, but Angelina can make anything sound good-even Elvis.
Absolutely amazing performance from Angelina, the first two little girls are Angelina’s cousins her managers children, the eldest girl is Angelina’s sister Juliette, production input from Angelina’s Grandma who is a talented, love how Angelina pays tribute to Elvis with her black outfit and red guitar 🎸 and Pricilla Presley hair style, Cover of a Cover as the original song writer and vocalist didn’t achieve with his version, then Elvis covered the song and it was a hit ! Great reaction thanks 🙏

Musicians react to Angelina Jordan singing Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley for the first time! Thanks so much to Enya for sending over the Enya X4 Carbon Fiber acoustic guitar, so we could break down what's happening musically. @Sean Daniel and I really loved this cover and thought she did an amazing job as always. Her voice continues to mature and improve with time and it's been awesome to watch her grow up and create such beautiful covers. Feel free to tell us more ideas if you want MORE of her :)

Hi guys,
This performance was a total tribute to Elis.
Piano player dressed same as Elvis band member, AJ dressed as Elvis, Guitar same as Elvis used, Hair tribute to Pricilla. When Elvis concert around reunion comeback.
What happened to you, Dimash and the pillow of desire?
Is this the singer Enya?

So I know Sean is a guitar guy, could you react with him for Pink Venom, Blackpink (I know you did solo reaction), but I want to see if he can identify that crazy guitar that Rose is playing in the video 🤣
From Iowa, USA;
Rob is also 2 time Grammy winner.....
thanks Rusty!! i love her version a lot :)

These two don’t do anything for me. Don’t like their vibe at all. Never bailed halfway through a reaction video before this one.
For me the lyrics finally match the song, and it took a 16 year old to make it right ❤️ So, so beautiful version ❤️
What a depth and richness in Angelinas voice! She's just getting better and better and better...!
right???
every thing in this video is symbalic . Hair-Prisilla Presley / guitar and leather outfit from his 1968 comeback . young girls-her growing up. red coat on pianist- his band members used wear red jackets.
You are a man of culture (and likely some years), my friend 👏
The first two girls are her little cousins the last girl is her little sister.
And she’s “dusting off antiques (old songs)”, rediscovering them by removing the old covers.
Thank you.
thanks so much for watching!
And Amy winehoues
OK guys, so much to say...Big Angelina fan here PLUS Big Elvis fan...76, 6'6", 300...old and fat...but just found YOUR CHANNEL and LOVE IT. You guys are so fun to watch react! Your faces speak clearly with precision on even the most subtle changes and your commentary is elegant.
Beehive hair and leather jumpsuit were homages to Elvis and Priscilla, piano man wore red in homage to Elvis’s piano man! Great singing and playing Andrea and Sean
thanks so much!!
@Andrea Silvestro great review, also ye did a grear cover. And yer beautiful too 😁 💪💃💪💪🕺💪 with the handsome Sean. 👏👏👏
Brilliant reaction, maybe your best to Angelina. Spot on, honest, and at the same time hilarious ! What more can we want - I felt like watching Angelina as well as you live !
Angelina always makes you pay attention to the lyrics.
She doesn't cover songs - she uncovers songs ❤️
Genius = Angelina Jordan
Exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability
A person who is exceptionally intelligent or creative, either generally or in some particular respect
A person regarded as exerting a powerful influence over another for GOOD
A little background, She is paying homage to Elvis. The antique shop with the over the top chandeliers and gilded mirrors would be Found in Elvis's home graceland, comma the black leather suit And guitar were Elvis and her hairdo is the same hairdo that elvis's wife Priscilla had at that time in the sixties
Besides guitar she also plays the piano.
I LOVE her voice it's magical. It brings me peace and 😊 joy
This is Elvis's home in Graceland. The Chandelier was above his piano. All the furniture is his & Priscilla!
3 chords and a red guitar = perfection!
Her black leather is also a tribute to him.
your a pretty good singer and brave to follow Angelina love your reactions.
Very nice to see very talented people reacting to Angelina. THANKS for the reaction and your talent as well.
thanks for watching!
The Princess meets the King
Great reaction, guys! Greetings from Norway.

Angelina ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Written and originally recorded by Mark James in 1968, “Suspicious Minds” is a cover by Elvis Presley, released as a single in 1969. I like AJs version much more.
I got a couple of kids that's been doing some dance shows with some similar hair tricks, and if I'm not mistaken they've basically put a big black foam rubber ball on her back head and covered it with her hair. She does a fantastic job of revitalizing Elvis' iconic hit. That tone and breathy voice control, and lifting the lyrics up like never before ... so wonderful to see.
You two are a great couple and you don't have to prove yourselves to anybody! Also as I had said before you have such a beautiful voice! Subscribed.
awh thanks so much G G :) appreciate you being so kind!
By the way, the piano player is Rob Christie, the Music Director of Republic Records. Only the Top Brass for Angelina.
Thanks for your reaction.
ty for watching!
david I think Angelina dropped the violin and flute many years ago.
Hey guys, first of all this is one
of the most incredible videos I’ve
seen on YT.
The opening verse just sounded
like the best female vocal I’ve ever heard.
Elvis' backup singers in the '69 comeback tour had those red jump suits.
Love your reaction, and thanks for the bonus at the end. Lovely!!
thanks so much :) really appreciate it!!
5:10 I am pretty sure his outfit is the same as Elvis' bandmembers in the 68 special, the pink/red jumpsuits. Angelina also wearing the black leather like Elvis from that special. It's a tribute.
I just enjoy your reactions so much, thank you
thanks so much john!
The guitar artist, award winning, Rob Christy, is wearing the colors of Elvis's backup musician. Angelina wearing Elvis comeback tour and the guitar also.
In Elvis's 1968 come back show he wore a black leather outfit, and he played a red guitar. Her hair is a 1960's bee hiver style.
He was going by the name NobelPrize, but he just changed it thinking he could fool AJ fans that know about him.
thanks so much, appreciate you watching!!
Angelina just killed this video!!! Her arrangement was soo beautiful, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for her!!! Fantastic video!!💖
agreed!!
If you haven’t already reacted her latest studio of Whitney Houston's version you should - here’s the link - ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html

Great job, both of you.
It's been interesting discovering all the places Angelina has been. The comments on her IG page are quite illuminating.
She's been all over the world making people love her. That's what she does.
thanks!!
Just an interesting facts about Angelina she speaks four languages she paints she writes she actually offered a book when she was 9 years old they're the youngest author in Norway history she takes her inspiration from her grandmother who if you notice on the video produced the video she also plays the violin the guitar the flute and the piano I have no doubt in my mind that she had a lot to do with how this was put together she writes a lot of her own stuff I can't wait for her album I'm so excited I'm 75 years old I've never heard anything like this in my entire life I think she has the potential to become one of the greatest artists in the in the world
Great reaction you 2 & love your comments to. . Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his
wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up. The Elvis Easter Eggs. That was
all Angie's hair. (I remember my mom doing that back than. It's a long process. If you react to
Angie's newer Official cover, you'll see all her hair. “I have nothing” by Whitney Houston ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html Official cover. Looks like they even gave her the rights to
her version of the song. Dropped 7-23-22. She’s 16. I love how Angie put in some of her
jazzy back phrasing in it also. About all the Elvis eggs, here's some of them.
Angie gave a lot of respect & homage to Elvis. Angie really blew this one away. I love
what she did with this story This was filmed in the same place that she did “My funny valentine” at Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA.
There's a picture of (age about 1-2) baby Lisa Marie Presley on a golden couch like
Angie's cousin sat on with a white dress. There was one of Lisa also (when she’s
about 3) with white dress & she had curls like Angie’s other cousin Athena had (from her uncle Michael's kids). Plus it acted as a double meaning for us watching Angie growing up. Her sister Juilette was the older one in the white dress like Angie was in, when she was
10-12 before she changed at 13 & her, her mom Sara & grandma Mery made clothes for
her performances. (Angie made this modern & nostalgic at the same time. She’s emotes
the story, for she is a true master story teller & master word smith)
The black jumpsuit & red guitar is for the welcome back tour in 1968. The hair was for
Priscilla his wife & Angie sitting on the couch too, Chandeliers, mirrors & furniture was for Graceland, the Piano player Rob Christie wearing red like Elvis's piano player & you'll even
see that Angie's (Elvis stance) put her leg out & bent like Elvis did. Angelina did a lot of homework & paid a lot of respect & gave us a lot of Easter eggs & there’s still more. As
she usually does on her videos. Angelina is just amazing, beyond words & other singers/writers/artists/people. (Like your cover at the end, it was nice & different also)

Rob Christie Playing Piano:
That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago.
Great reaction guys. Angelina did such a beautiful job here. Loved every bit of it.
thanks so much!!
The color of the piano players suit is the same as Elvis's band when he sang this in his last televised concert
I really appreciate the two of you. Awesome reaction!
thanks Chris! appreciate you for watching
The hairdo is called a beehive, it was popular in the 50s and 60s, and is an homage to Elvis as his wife wore the same hairdo
What a treat; you two even took your time to do a cover of the cover, which was really nice btw.
Thanks for the video and your take on the performance and setup.
The song is simple, that's true, but sometimes that's all we need, and the slower tempo makes us pay more attention to the lyrics, as you said.
thanks so much :)
Lovely guys you are such a talented couple. 👏👏It is a tribute to elvis it's such a great version I love what AJ can do with songs. 🤗☘️☘️☘️❤️
ty!!
💯 *AJ* 💯
Wonderful comments. Spot on. Thank you
Neil Diamond wrote this song
@@gary7667 Mark James wrote the country rock song Suspicious Minds under his real name Francis Rodney Zambon and recorded it between May and June 1968 with record producer Moman (Scepter Records 12221) at his American Sound Recording Studios in Memphis. 🤗🤗🤗
Update: Of course I meant "don't hear and understand" 🤗
Loved it.
Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
ty for watching!!
Super awesome that you guys did a cover of AJ's cover. Y'all sound great and I totally enjoyed your reaction.
awh thanks so much!!
She is getting better She is not on Elvis' level, nowhere close, his baritone was just the most sought after and UNREACHABLE tone ever put to vinyl. One of a kind voice. But sure Angelina IS a brilliant talent and singer. Elvis would have loved singing with her I think.
Your singing was a nice edition. Great singing and great reaction.
thanks :))
Great reaction!!!!

ANGELINA- GENIUS!!!!
Hey guys! I so 👍 agree. The original lyrics were juxtaposed rather than matched to the melody. In a weird way. This arrangement is INCREDIBLE! 🎸
Thank you for adding your music singing and playing towards the end it was very very nice and beautiful...
thanks Jason!!
Thank you for this reaction to Angelina's amazing rendition. Your cover was so nice. Great touch!
thanks so much Raul! glad you enjoyed
Great reaction and the hairdo was paying homage to Prescilla, God Bless!
thanks!
That fashionably attired pianist is Rob Christie, 2x Grammy winner and Studio Director for Republic Records.
Loved your version too. Keep singing and picking.
thanks :))
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your version also. The maturity of notes that your runs were choosing to go to. Nuances, also your tone. Should have known Sean would be with the best. You are both clever and talented and similar in humor. Very entertaining watching your reactions.
Great reaction Andrea and company. Your little clip interjected in the middle was refreshing. Thanks
thanks! glad you liked it
My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality.
If you are interested Rob Christie is a multiple Grammy winner and the director of all studio work at republic records and has accompanied Angelina several times in her videos .But only Angelina can uncover a classic song and make it something brand new for our ears . you should check out some of her stuff from one of her concerts from Norway this july . keep on reactin .
angelina is great, the detail of elvis's clothes and guitar, priscila's hairstyle and the colored pianist like an elvis musician. thank you both 🇦🇷.
ty for watching!
Angelina Jordan and AURORA perform together = DREAM
I love them both, but I don't think their styles would mesh well, but never say never. Maybe they'll surprise me. They both do that all the time.
Love Angelina's performance--top notch, but so was your version-- thanks for giving us that bonus! (Did you notice that she starts with the last verse-- she really re-arranged the song.
thanks!!
So pleased you have done this reaction and love the way your entertain during it, you are so great together and your cover was lovely. As to the way she performs , I find it such an amazing version, it just gets me from start to finish and is my current favourite from her 170 plus videos but no doubt her next one will be even better if that is at all possible.
thanks so much for watching! glad we could react to it!!
In the original event, the backup band wore that color.
lol
That is the head of Republic Records playing piano. 2x Grammy winner.
Hair style is a beehive, that’s how Priscilla wore her hair (Amy W did too).
aftr He's not the head of RR.
@@103mrg my bad, Rob Christie is the studio director.

Angelina is amazing :)
The hair--Elvis' wife, Priscilla.
Great reaction thanks 🙏
ty!
