Glad I watched this video. I though you had to secure the front panel with the shipping screw you removed from the outer left side. I couldnt figure out how I could put the screw back in when my paneling was secured. I found the other screw in the back of parts. Thanks again lol.

Thanks for the video. Would this work with a smart type plug to automate turning it on and off? If it looses power, does it automatically come back on to its previous settings and on/off state when power is restored?
Great video! Thanks for making it as I'm looking at buying one myself. I see you used some scrap wood behind the fireplace for mounting (3:14). Is this the only way to mount it? Or can you mount it to the studs on each side?

2) which one is more noisy / loud?

How did you get the shiplap behind the cover of the fireplace? I’m having a hard time figuring out after I put the shiplap how the cover will go all the way on.
Can the frame be attached directly to the wood paneling?

Some Amazon reviews say it lets out a noisy hum. Have you noticed any noise/hum with your unit?

I'm hoping we can have a flame-only setup, but I doubt it is based on the manual.
I actually somehow managed to turn off the back round one time by pressing the second colour button for a few seconds.Then, I pressed the first one and only the background was on while the flames were off.
I tried to do it one more time and it didn’t work after that. It keeps going into the automatic colour changing mode.
I know it’s possible to turn one of the lights off, I just don’t know how I did it.

Do these fireplaces need a special plug outlet?? I need the Nema plug for the 60” model. I can’t get through to anyone on their customer service.
Just moved into this house and this FP was recessed in shiplap. It is now dusty inside the screen. How do I remove the glass to clean the dust out from the inside glass. It’s making me nuts. Your reply would be most appreciated.

Yes, there are 5 speeds of flame motion and 5 levels to change the brightness.
Did you cut the molding on the top of the wall for frame?
I don't have molding on the top of my wall, but if I did would have cut ut.

No...his doesn’t crackle.
Yes it’s 36 decibels sound wise it’s suppose to imitate real flame sounds mine sounds like a crackle sound .
