This ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxkNYRBJuiJ6EwD-tQSAlxg0eFKsnR2cgz I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
Simple is the best way. I like that you did this with the least amount of tools possible. Sometimes DIY videos are full or expensive tools which can be discouraging to the average hobby builder. You did a great job man. Keep building!
I agree with you @danielmilam5890. I am still wondering what kind of tools we need. I am like a just born baby in terms of diy..can someone please suggest me what tools should I use..
I just built one using all of your steps, thank you! This video was very helpful. Mine is 86” wide with a 56” fireplace so I just made a few adjustments. Turned out great thanks to you! 👌🏻
I done watch a million contractors pages on how to build these thing and a lot of them where very confusing this by far the best video for someone that ain’t a contractor and to explain it to ppl that don’t know what they doing I wish more videos would be like this good job bud great f****. Job this video needs a million likes
Great job man, I am still trying to convince myself that I am capable of doing something like that... EDIT: I did it and the result was far beyond my expectation - so I thanks this video for being one of my inspirational's videos :)
Yeah, I had to do the same thing before I started thing project! So I know how you feel. haha but now that i have done it, it really isn't that hard. You got it!
I'm going to give it a shot too! Just make sure you have all of your supplies BEFORE you begin so you don't sit around waiting on things. But seems pretty straight forward. Good luck!
Thanks for telling us what you did, instead of just showing us it in fast motion, like so many others, unfortunately do. I hate it when they do that. I just move on, when they do that. It doesn't help me a bit. Great job!
This is exactly why I LOVE this video!!!!! Those other videos are so frustrating!! I needed to see every step to build the frame. This is fantastic and for the first time I feel like I can actually do this!!!
Great video and tips. I decided to use a similar concept to build my electric heater wall, in which I also built in shelves. Currently, I’m debating on the choice of material to build the sleeves for shelving.
Thank you for posting valuable steps on how to EASILY build this been watching UA-cam videos to find one that I can easily follow and so glad I found you youre great and I will be using your video to build my tv fireplace wall thanks again 👍🏻
So im hoping to do this next week having never even picked up a power tool before it should he fun lol this is the best tutorial ive saw by far and believe me i watched lots
Great job , we appreciate all the details ; you explained everything including why you were doing things. If I was a new DIY person I would be able to build this today by watching your video. 🌟🌟 and Booo to the people who disliked the video.
I would deff recomend leaving the fireplace exterior on the outside of the shiplap incase you need to unplug it or something its easier to remove and re install
One does not simply apologize for vertical video recording. Heh, great video. We have one I have just externally mounted. I want to frame it into the actual wall though. May just do this though, but drywall or wainscote it. Thanks again!
Going to build a similar one this weekend! Only thing I would do different is add a mounting plate for the TV so you dont have to hit the studs directly
nice music man and thanks for the easy step by step... to me it looks kinda easy to make an inset space for the TV, but maybe that would look weird??.. Seeing this project makes me want to add more to it!! thanks for sharing this video!
Thanks for the video, I`m grateful that you used terms that I can understand, as I`m not the handiest guy. I would like to do something like this and after watching your video, I`m confident that I can do this
Good job ! I’m plan to build one in our living home Fireplace already here 68 inches . 75 inches tv I don’t buy it yet . Can write the material if you don’t mind please Also should I use drywall or ciment board because I’m going to use airstone Thank you !
Quick tip you should mention all material you use n tools I think that would help people of they want to do something similar … I like the video but don’t like the fact you don’t explain what you use n how much
Amazing job! It really adds a lot of dimension to the blank wall. This looks almost exactly like what I want for my new condo... can I hire you to build me one? 😂
Nice job, well done bro. I wish wood was as cheap here in Scotland as it is over there, we get robbed by all the "DIY Stores" And "The Builders Merchants" !!!!!
Old video but hopeful for a response. Thank you for breaking this down for us. Question, is there any way to access the fireplace in case it malfunctions / needs to be replaced? Or would you have to pull the trim and siding off to get to it?
I did one with Stone. Stone was 500$ fireplace insert was 300$ wood like 100+ then I'm guessing i spent 1200. If u send me a email I'll send u progess pics
Yes, they are. I have a 15amp outlet and the fireplace is 12.5. Not sure what the tv is, but I know it is less than 2.5 amps. lol I am not an electrician for from everything I have read and watch you should be good to plug them into the same outlet.
Good job. My wife wants to do ours in ship lap. I was thinking drywall with crown molding at the top. Would be good for an hidden access panel or flush panel to gain access to that hidden outlet. Looking to put ours in our bedroom.
@House To Home DIY, what a great description video which inspired me also to go ahead and do it for my new house. Could you please share the dimensions (especially the depth) of the extension you have to make to the wall. Thanks again .
We are doing this right now. Thank you for the video! One place we are stuck is doing the Shiplap around the fireplace. We have the same one but we can figure out how to get the glass cover to go over the Shiplap to hide any imperfections. The Shiplap seems too thick to go between the frame and the back of the cover. Did you run into this problem? Thanks again!
At the price of lumber today probably about $120,000! But seriously, $10 a stick and he probably used 10 to 15 so not too bad. You could also use steel studs which is easy to use as well.

Just finished this, and my wife is SO stoked! Thank you for sharing!

I am glad you liked it. I am new to DIYing so I don't have a lot of the fancy tools, so that makes me happy to hear you enjoyed the video :)

This is the best step by step explanation I’ve seen. We are planning on DIYing this in a few months.
Great job man, I am still trying to convince myself that I am capable of doing something like that...

Yeah, I had to do the same thing before I started thing project! So I know how you feel. haha but now that i have done it, it really isn't that hard. You got it!
Likewise. I’m going to make an attempt today!!

love that you focused on your carpentry techniques. well do
Thank you! My husband and I just finished ours. Wish I could add a photo. We love it.
Yeah, I wish you could post a photo here. I would love to see it! :)
I love it...AND knowing you did it ALONE is very helpful to know, because I REALLY want to attempt this on my own also. TFS
This is awesome and simpler than I thought. I think I can handle this.
I like that hes not a pro and he just does his best awesome vid bro
good job. with the fire place drawing over 12 amps I would strongly recommend using a plug on a dedicated circuit, not any plug in your house.
Love the detail explanation on how you built it. Thank you! Looks Great!!!
Great video and tips. I decided to use a similar concept to build my electric heater wall, in which I also built in shelves. Currently, I’m debating on the choice of material to build the sleeves for shelving.
I think you did a really good job! Slow and steady wins the race
Wife saw this and now I'm building it 🤣.. great job on the video and it looks great.
Will be using this as a guide for our basement fireplace! Thanks foe the video!
That is so cool to hear. That basement is going to look awesome.
You make this look so easy! Thank you for all your advice!! Truly appreciate your tutorials!!
You are so nice! Thank you so much.

Same here
Awesome! Best of luck :)
This was the PERFECT video! Thanks!
This is the BEST most descriptive and step by step videos on how to build the frame. Exactly what I needed! Thank you!!!!
Looks great...we are going to do this in our new home we bought. Thinking of stacked stone, but I do love the ship lap.
Yeah, stacked stone would look awesome! If I do something like this again I think I will try stone.
I would deff recomend leaving the fireplace exterior on the outside of the shiplap incase you need to unplug it or something its easier to remove and re install

Heh, great video. We have one I have just externally mounted. I want to frame it into the actual wall though. May just do this though, but drywall or wainscote it. Thanks again!
Looks amazing! 🥰 we just redid our fireplace and absolutely love it for the winter! 🙌🏼
Thank you so much for your video! It looks amazing and gave us the confidence to do our own using your technique! It looks fantastic. Thanks again.
Going to build a similar one this weekend! Only thing I would do different is add a mounting plate for the TV so you dont have to hit the studs directly
Yo this is like the best video ever! I feel like I can do this! You explained all the why’s and that is so helpful.

@@HousetoHomeDIY
I agree! Any suggestions as to tools to get for a new DIYer?? 👀
@@mrs.murphy2611 My most used tool is the brad nailer and circular saw. Here is a link to all the tools I use :) housetohomediy.com/my-tools/

Thank you! Awesome blog site! Appreciate it😉
Looks great but when you build the side walls you don’t need to use brad nails and screws.just screws will work 3 inch or bigger will work too
Very well done
It was really cool!
Looks awesome!!!! We are going to start ours soon! Is your TV and fireplace on the same circuit?

Nice bro! I'm gonna do mine your way, seems way easier.
Good luck. I am sure it will look awesome!
Thank you. Really helpful.
Beautiful look easy to do it
yeah, it really wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. :)
I need that. Wonderful
I'm doing this! Love it nice work
Nice job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice! Thank you!
Awesome video man. Will help me a lot for this project
Good job. My wife wants to do ours in ship lap. I was thinking drywall with crown molding at the top. Would be good for an hidden access panel or flush panel to gain access to that hidden outlet. Looking to put ours in our bedroom.
Careful on ‘just’ adding to an existing circuit. Need to account for total loading on that circuit .
Looks awesome!! I’m gonna attempt my own very soon! This video helped answer questions I had!! Again, awesome job!!
Awesome! Thank you!
@House To Home DIY, what a great description video which inspired me also to go ahead and do it for my new house. Could you please share the dimensions (especially the depth) of the extension you have to make to the wall.
Thanks again .
Great job. Do you think it would be best to mount your TV and fireplace first then build around it.
That could probably work. :)
Great job you well explain on how due. Ty sir . give point you add back surge pertecter . great jo. Ideal ty

Not sure if I missed this, but roughly how much was all the wood for this? What was your total for this whole project?
